Welcome to Earth and Ocean floors of Casa Jawa, nestled in the coastal Nosara jungle, walking distance to world-class surfing Playa Guiones.

Casa Jawa is a beautiful remodeled house based on real eco-living elegance and cosiness. It was built to have as little of a footprint on the environment as possible using 5 recycled containers, natural stone and wood and as little cement as possible.

The name Jawa is derived from a Cabécar term meaning “the house of the healer.” The Cabécar are an indigenous group of the remote Talamanca region of Eastern Costa Rica.

Staying in Casa Jawa is a beautiful and inspiring journey in connection with nature : the fabulous coastal jungle, wildlife & ocean sounds of the property and amazing sunsets are truly feeding the soul, ears and eyes !

Connect your senses to the rhythm of the jungle through the energetic sound of Howler monkeys, the visual brilliance of a million stars at night, the delightful freshness of organic Costa Rican cuisine, the vibrant scent of tropical foliage, and the physical touch of a yoga mat, a warm wave, or sand between your toes in world famous Playa Guiones !

The second and third floor have 2 bedrooms (1 california king bed and 1 queen bed) & 2 bathrooms. In total the second and third floor of Casa Jawa can sleep up to 5 people, but 4 people comfortable. All bedrooms are separate from each other. This allows for privacy come bedtime or waking up in the morning (no one else has to be woken up accidentally by your 5 am dawn patrol sesh!). The two bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor have their own bathroom. All of the rooms have A/C and high-end ceiling fans. The house is beautifully decorated with stunning macro-pictures of Costa Rica wildlife in all rooms with no shortcuts on the amenities. Hot water is provided by solar panels.

The 2m high Jaguar picture staring in the main living-room is the signature of the house.

The second and third floor contain 1 kitchen and 1 living-room.
A brand-new shared salted pool is giving an extra luxurious touch to this amazing property.

Casa Jawa Earth and Ocean floors have 4 decks allowing a confidential yoga retreat to use various decks according to the time of the day. The almendro wooden main deck on the second floor has a stunning position overlooking the property with a 180° view.
There are ocean views from the 3rd and 4th floor and in the dry season from the 2nd floor. The back of the home has a breathtaking view of the San Juan and Garza mountains. Monkeys pass within feet of the 3rd-floor shower window and 4th story view deck in the mornings and afternoon.

Casa Jawa Air corresponds to ground floor of Casa Jawa full house which is rented separately and completely independent from Casa Jawa Earth and Ocean floors.

The house sits on 3.25 acres of very private land with hundreds of fruit trees such as lime, orange, star fruit, mango, banana, and avocado as well as hundreds of gorgeous flowering precious wood trees such as Cortez Amarillo, Cortez Negro, Sandal, Llamaron del Bosque, Orgullo de La India and Malinche. The house is located 25 min walking distance to the beach with a beautiful path through the jungle and the K section -community area leading to Baker’s Beach on famous surfing Playa Guiones.

Access the property through the gate of the 506 Tennis Center compound (which is the only gated community with full-time security in Esperanza).

Families can enjoy the nature trails, tennis, ping pong, football, yoga practice, sunbathing, swimming at the pool and just relaxing in a hammock on the decks.

Casa Jawa is perfect for a small yoga retreat of maximum 5 guests + teacher with the 3 Shala decks of the house.
