Snow is a common occurrence anytime from September-April in the Colorado Rockies.. We highly recommend 4 or all wheel drive vehicles during those months. There are occasional short term road closures due to weather where you may be delayed for a few hours. We do not offer refunds for these events. Most of the winter is sunny and mild with no snow.
This area is full of so many things to do. Hike/explore in nearby Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Florissant Fossil Beds, Lake George, 11-Mile National Park, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods and Dome Rock Wildlife area from a private entrance in our community. Nearby Historic Cripple Creek offers casinos, dining, narrow gauge railroad, the Molley Kathleen Mine Tour.
