Perch Cottage is your ultimate summer family getaway! This cozy 4-bedroom, 1-bath retreat is steps from Spring Lake, perfect for sun filled days and lasting memories. You are welcome to bring your own bike to use on the trail, as bikes are not provided.

Kids can enjoy seasonal kayaks, life jackets, and beach toys, or bring your own bike to ride and stroll along the scenic 12-mile Spring Lake trail.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy, while the open living area with Smart TV. You can access smart app like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+ etc. You will need to log in to any of the apps using your own personal username and password. Make sure you logout at the end of your stay. | Free WiFi.

Outside, gather around the firepit (seasonal, firewood included) for s’mores, play lawn games while the kids play nearby.

It’s walking distance to Spring Lake Beach and a brief drive to Grand Haven’s beaches and iconic lighthouse. Perch Cottage is family owned and thoughtfully maintaine ; ideal for easy, sun-soaked stays filled with connection and fun.

Great location and cottage

We stayed for a soccer in the sand tournament in Grand Haven. The location was perfect. The neighborhood was so quiet and everything we needed was in the cottage. Well maintained and cute, really enjoyed the small touches that made things more convenient like having charging cables in each bedroom. The board games were great, having a washer and dryer available was awesome, and we overall had a really good experience.

A memorial weekend stay

The perch cottage was perfect for our weekend stay in planning a memorial for a family member that had passed away held in Grand Haven. Even though we were there for a sad event, the spacious deck in front was great for me to create floral arrangements for the lunch tables and for the alter for the church service.The house was a great size for our group of four and still had an extra bedroom we used just to set/store items out of the way. Great Time from Ohio

We took our 4 grandkids ranging in ages 7-14 on vacation to the Spring Lake/Grand Haven area. We spent 4 day and 3 nights and this home couldn't had been a more perfect location. The house is very clean and perfectly located for fun days at Grand Haven State Park and Spring Lake. We had some beautiful fresh flowers, cookies and tasty muffins waiting for us upon our arrival. This home has everything you could ask for (except washer and dryer) to make your stay enjoyable. The fire pit was even stacked with wood and ready to go. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area.

Nice place in a quiet neighborhood

Overall, the house is as advertised. The only real issue we had was the outside deck and the chairs and the cushions have not been cleaned, and were very dusty . Also, the yard is very spotty with grass missing in large chunks, which makes for a lot of dirt tracking back-and-forth into the shoes and the house. The place itself is very nice. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is very functional communication with the owners was very good no issues with the neighborhood very quiet close to the small lake and within 15 minutes of grand Haven. Overall, we enjoyed our stay for the few days we were there.

Booked this cottage for a guys golf weekend at American Dunes. If you’re looking for 4 beds a fridge and A/C, it won’t disappoint. However, the Ad did not account for maximum height of a 5’ 10” for occupants as we clipped our heads entering and exiting the kitchen from the mud room area, nor did it warn about the nest of several thousand bullet sized flies that would be cohabitating the place with us during the stay. It was bad enough that they were buzzing in our ears all night long but these free loading pests didn’t even chip in on the rent.

Lovely vacation

My family and I wanted to get away before school started and we found this location last minute. It was a wonderful property that had everything that we needed. Such a quaint adorable location super close to the beach. My kids had a blast playing at the sandy beach, it was super close to Michigan Adventures, And we also had the opportunity to dine at some of the local restaurants. Overall the vacation was a success, the property was exactly what we needed, and I would recommend it to any other family looking for a quick getaway!

Great Location

The best thing is the location of the property and the ability to walk to Lake Beach and to some really great restaurants. However, the property needs some updating, some of the furniture should be replaced and the master bed needs to be replaced as well. It makes too much noise everytime you move on the bed. Excellent bike trail right by the house but no bike rentals near by. It would be a great amenity to have a couple for guest, even if you charged a small fee for use during the stay.

Just alright

Photos make the place seem much nicer. The place needs some major updating and one of the bedroom doors fell off the first night. The owner couldn’t have it fixed during our stay so our friends slept with no door. Many changes to the amenities with the new owners and despite the inconveniences, they could not accommodate our one request to extend check out by one hour. Beds were uncomfortable and the kitchen ceiling was comically low. Also the house didn’t seem like it had been thoroughly Covid-cleaned before our stay.

SpingLake home

The owner of the property closed the day we arrived. There were some complications due completely to the transition however the new owner was quick to reply and helped with everything very quickly. The home worked well as a home base for us to explore the SpringLake and Grand Haven area, lots of shops, restaurants, and a little beach maybe 5 min walk away that was perfect.

We had a nice stay, here. Great location, minutes from state park. Bring your bikes, because it is only a few hundred feet from a super, paved ,bike path and near a park for the kids. Owners very responsive to email questions. Hoffmaster SP , close and not very crowded. Thanks to Hosts.

Firewood, bicycles and beach towels were listed as provided somewhere, but we didn’t see any. The place still fit our needs well. Not a fan of the plastic mattress covers. Made sleeping noisy and hot. Couldn’t figure out how to adjust the volume on the tv. Deck area was nice.

Nice weekend stay for our family

It was great place for our weekend stay with our adult children to attend a family reunion nearby. It is on a quiet street and close to a nice walking path and the public beach. It was clean and well stocked with towels and dishes. A nice weekend place to stay to enjoy the area.

Hi, I’m Courtney, a pediatric doctor. My husband Matt and I have been watching this area like a hawk for quite some time, just waiting for the perfect place to come available.

Matt’s family is connected to this area through multiple generations. His grandmother used to teach swimming lessons right here at Lakeside Beach.

Anyway, the perfect cabin finally popped up and we grabbed it. We then spent months choosing just the right furnishings to help it feel like a home away from home for our guests. We chose a round coffee table so there are no hard edges for kids to scrape. We chose a leather couch because it can roll with the punches.

Bottom line, we are super excited to finally unveil our passion project to you and we will do everything in our power to make sure you have the vacation of a lifetime.
