This is a very nice property well located between Tennets Harbor and Rockland on the peninsula. It was clean - and walking in, had a "new house" scent. Driving to Port Clyde or Rockland is easy; and although a bit farther, Boothbay or Camden were also readily accessible. It is at the end of a remote, private road with the nearest neighbor 100 yds to the south. Arrive during the day because finding and navigating this small road for the first time at night would be difficult. (GPS was very helpful) The photos are 100% accurate and represent the property well. It says that it sleeps 3 but is certainly large enough to accommodate more guests if the owner wanted to set up the second bedroom/den to do so.
It is a western facing property, so there are excellent sun sets. The property sits on the shore off the bay that can be seen and appreciated from the great room and the deck off of the great room, with a few trees obstructing full view. It has a narrow and steep stairway, roughly 40 feet above the shore. Getting a kayak up and down that stairway would be a risky proposition. The shore itself is rather shallow, and although I didn't try, probably not too good for fishing. It is so shallow, in fact, that with very low tide it became mud/rocky flats for several hundred yards out.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and outdoor gas grill. It also has a full sized washer and dryer. Oddly the TV did get some channels but did not get the major four (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX). I may not have been doing something correctly. There is dial up internet access but there was some procedure to register with the service provider that I did not bother to try. I did not get any 3G mobile reception from my provider. The water is well water and did have a minor sulfur odor. We bought bottled water and were happier with the taste of our coffee from it.
In sum, it was a very nice property, well situated with lovely views. It is perfect if you are seeking a quiet place for relaxation.
