Maui Banyan H506 - Walk to Beaches

This recently updated one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo is located at Maui Banyan Hotel in the resort town of Kihei. Conveniently located right on the sand, stroll to five different beaches in under fifteen minutes. Wailea beach and Kamaole beach are just a stone’s throw away. Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets of western Maui and then walk to any of the wonderful shops and restaurants in the immediate area. Maui Banyan is your perfect jump-off point to enjoy all the Valley Isle has to offer.

Once inside the condo, you’ll love the conveniences the owners have provided. The kitchen has updated, stainless steel appliances including an island with breakfast bar. There is a dining table that seats four and an independent workspace for telecommuters. There is also a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room that provides an additional bed for families traveling with small children. There is also a flat-screen smart TV and high-speed internet throughout the condo. Enjoy ocean views while sipping your morning coffee from your private lanai just off the living room. Relax with some cooling air conditioning!

The bedroom features a cozy queen-sized bed with comfortable linens and an additional flat-screen smart TV. Enjoy peek-a-boo ocean views from bed or you can partition off the bedroom with opaque glass pocket doors for extra privacy. There is an en-suite bathroom just off the bedroom with a gorgeous walk-in shower and an additional bathroom in the main part of the condo.

Guests of Maui Banyan have full access to a list of wonderful amenities. Swim in the onsite pool, play tennis on their private court, or barbeque in their outdoor pavilion with covered seating. Maui Banyan also has an onsite activities desk to book a number of wonderful tours in the area.

Maui Bayan is located just twenty minutes from Kahului airport, 35 minutes to Lahaina, ten minutes to Wailea, 30 minutes to upcountry, and an hour and a half to Haleakala. It is in the perfect central location to enjoy all this beautiful island is famous for. Come stay at this lovely condo – did we mention there is A/C? A true luxury here in the islands! E komo mai!

Great location, clean condo

Good location close to all beaches from Mākena to Kihei. Has beach gear and cooler, just had to rent an umbrella and snorkel gear at Boss frogs down the street.

Amazing Holiday Vacation!

Such a lovely time in Hawaii, made all the more special staying here and having Lynn Taylor as our host. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The location, the condo, the lovely staff, the pool, we really enjoyed it all. We would stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay!

This 5th floor (top) condo had everything we wanted or needed during our 9 night stay. We loved the beach (Cam II) across the street. There were restaurants nearby as well as a craft fair that popped up as well. The bed was comfortable and our stay delightfully relaxing. Would love to come back!

This property looks better in the pictures than it is. It feels like the owners are making improvements but it's not quite there yet to get a better rating. We were in this complex with other family members who had nicer units. The location is great.

Great views, right across from the beach

This condo is so cute! The best part was having 2 separate bathrooms for each of us to use! Thank you for leaving a cooler and beach chairs for us to use - very thoughtful! This place is very central in kehei and you can walk anywhere and get anywhere you want quickly! Thanks for having us!!

NIce Quiet place

Visit Maui with my Fiance for a little getaway minus the kids. Stayed here for a week. Everyone was super nice. The space was very clean and well supplied and the neighborhood was really nice across the Beach. The kitchen included all the tools. Having access to a washer and dryer was a PLUS. Overall a super pleasant Stay.

excelent stay

Our condo had an amazing sunset/sunrise view. Better that the restaurants touting the view. the complex also had 5 Weber grills that were meticulously maintained. i am a bit of a grill snob and i have never been to a complex with grills this nice. we had a great time and the condo added exponentiallyt to our expierience.

Perfect for a week in Kihei

Maui Banyan in the Springtime

The unit was clean and has simple beach-Hawaiian decor to create an ambiance that reminds you where you are. It is on the 5th floor so the views from the elevator to the unit and your personal balcony is nice. Parking in the garage was never an issue. We didn’t use the pool but when we strolled through the grounds enjoying the gardens we could hear the laughter of children playing. The unit itself was quiet. It is stocked with necessities and is conveniently located to all the places we wanted to explore. Plus the beach is right there across the street! We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable Kihei condo in a convenient location

This was our first time at the Maui Banyan. We liked the proximity to Kamaole Beach Park ll. The pool/hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings; there were 5 new Weber grills available in the well-kept BBQ/pool area. As for our condo we liked having two bathrooms. It was fairly well-stocked and when there was an issue with a small appliance our home host was very responsive and provided a replacement the same day. The only kitchen criticism is that the knives were very dull and although they were plentiful, I would rather have had one or two sharp ones that would do the job. All in all we had a very pleasant stay in the island paradise that is Maui.

Decent stay

This was a perfectly adequate rental that met our needs. It was clean and everything functioned well. However, it was a tossup between a 3 and 4 rating; 3.5 might be more appropriate. We had concerns about this listing. First, the agents Hawaii Life Vacation charged us $250 USD (over $300 CDN) for a minor change to our stay that we made 4 months in advance. Yes, we knew provision for this was in the 7 page agreement that we signed when we originally booked. However a problem at work over which we had no control necessitated the change. They were absolutely inflexible about this charge despite several emails regarding it. To charge this kind of money for something that took a few mouse clicks to change is ridiculous. It should be mentioned in the listing itself, as once you receive the contract and read it, you've already decided to rent and onerous fees like this should be known in advance. We've booked on VRBO many times and have never seen a fee like this. Offsetting this a bit is the fact that Lara the local representative was very kind and efficient when we contacted her over a minor issue which she resolved while we were there. Second, the suite is listed as "recently updated". That's overselling things a bit. We've stayed in several units at the Banyan over the last 31 years, and this one has the original kitchen (except for appliances and lighting) and second bathroom. They've done an update of the ensuite bathroom but there is wear and tear on furniture, flooring etc so you should expect that. There is AC in the main living area only, not in the bedroom which many units have here. The property is well maintained and pleasant and the pools are great but one final warning - many people smoke on their balconies here and we were driven inside about every other day by the smell of tobacco or something else. Again, this unit was adequate to our needs and we had a good stay in Kihei but be aware of some of the realities of this rental.

Great location!

Property looks how it does in the photos, response from property manager was quick and efficient. The location is unbeatable, walk ability was a 10/10, shops, restaurants, rentals, and of course beaches, you name it, it was close by. My only qualm was it felt like the place had not been updated in a while and needs a little tlc. Furniture was clean and bed was comfortable. Temperature control was great. No bugs.

Perfect beachfront stay in Kihei!
