This is a great location. We enjoyed the 3 pools and relaxed in the lazy river. It has an excellent view of the ocean and is in walking distance to the pier.

Basic kitchen items provided at condo. You will need to bring additional products like: paper towels, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, and coffee filters. We did find 2 large cockroaches in our condo but it may be due to the location. They were also outside by the pool area especially at night. Note: the lazy river is not located on this property. But you have access by walking across a sky walk that connects to another property where you will find a pool and lazy river.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We provide a basic starter kit upon arrival, including paper towels, dish detergent, trash bags, along with the basic kitchen dishes needed. Guests may need to purchase additional supplies, such as extra paper towels, dish soap, and coffee filters, depending on their needs and length of stay. We appreciate you bringing the bug issue to our attention. These are commonly known as palmetto bugs and are native to Florida. They are attracted to lights and can be more noticeable in the evening, though we understand that encountering them can be unpleasant. For clarification, the lazy river is located on the Bayside of Destin West, while this condo is on the Gulfside. Guests have access to the entire property via the connecting skywalk, including the Bayside pools and lazy river. Thank you again for your feedback and for helping us clarify what guests can expect during their stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The staff, they are AMAZING and why I might even consider staying again. Our first initial rental had a couple issues, and Beverly was QUICK to remedy the situation with a move to a better room. The second rental was BEAUTIFUL. Much cleaner (first one had muddy wheel marks all over floor that I cleaned up when we got in),and right on the gulf. However, whomever is doing the sofa bed set up needs a talking to. In both rooms, spare pillows and blankets were nowhere near the couch. No note saying where they were, so it was like a scavenger hunt. Second rental didn't have anything other than a top sheet. Thankfully, one of the bunks had a blanket my daughter could use. The second issue was the internet. If your kids like to watch Netflix or Youtube, don't rent this one. Because in the evening or weekend (Im assuming when more ppl are there) your phone, tv, simply wont connect. If it does connect, it kicks you off as soon as it does. We rebooted it every 5 minutes until we gave up. I know this is a minor inconvenience, but when it's rainy, or kid is sunburned and needs to stay in with nothing to watch, it makes it difficult.Staff, 5 stars. Location, 5 stars... the other issues make me wary of renting again.

Just ok

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location cannot be beat. The distance to the pool and beach is HUGE, with the added bonus of the beach chairs included. The amount of space is wonderful and was nice for my family of 4. We never struggled to get chairs or space anywhere as we jumped back and fourth between the pool and beach. The pictures do not do it justice for how outdated the place is. It also looks very rough with lots of marks on the walls, doors, and tables. The blue chairs squeaked when you sat in them, the sliding door never actually locked, the curtains did not close all the way, and the shower in the master was either painful while spraying in the whole bathroom, or a trickle and didn't wash anything off. The beds were horribly uncomfortable/thin. Getting to the lazy river was more of a hassle with a stroller so we never enjoyed it. Thankfully the regular pool and beach were plenty for us. The rental complex it self says it is smoke free with signs everywhere but there were people smoking in common areas and on their balconies. Overall a decent stay for booking it a week before but I would check out a different unit or property if I come back in the future.

The view from the room is absolutely stunning! Patio is very spacious. The condo was comfortable and perfect for our stay. Beach access with chairs and umbrella was great. There was an issue with our check-in but communication with the host was seamless. The only issue I have is that the pool was absolutely frigid and was advertised as heated.

Great for small children, as this property is a very short walk to the beach. Master bedroom is extremely bright and needs blackout curtains.

Perfect Trip!

This was our 15th stay at Destin West as we love the location and the proximity to everything we love to do. This specific condo was VERY CLEAN on arrival and had everything we needed. The management company was great and the process was very simple. Would defiantly stay here again!
