Waterfront retreat near Seattle with a hot tub, Mt. Rainier views, and room for up to 6 guests. Set on the WA Water Trail in Manchester, The Heron Haus is a lovingly restored 1935 cottage with unobstructed views of Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island, Blake Island, Manchester State Park, and Mt. Rainier on clear days. Designed for slow mornings, restorative weekends, and memorable gatherings, the home blends original character with a warm, elevated coastal style.
Professionally styled with a hygge-inspired approach, the cottage is filled with thoughtful details, designer furnishings, and pieces collected from coastal destinations around the world. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and intentionally curated - a place to unplug, reset, and settle into waterfront living.
The home features:
2 water-view bedrooms
1 spa-like bathroom
an expansive waterfront deck
hot tub overlooking the Sound
upgraded kitchen
high-speed WiFi with an eero mesh network for strong coverage inside the home
automatic backup generator so the power stays on during Pacific Northwest storms

outdoor dining table for 6
gas fire pit

The deck offers more than 800 square feet of outdoor living space and is one of the best parts of the property - ideal for morning coffee, sunset dinners, wildlife watching, or soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Two kayaks are available to rent between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Guests use all water equipment at their own risk and are responsible for any damage. Because currents can be hazardous, we recommend paddling only at slack tide and in low-wind conditions.
For guests looking to explore, Wynn-Jones Nature Preserve is about half a mile away and offers a very well-maintained, beautiful forest loop trail. Manchester State Park is about 2 miles by road and about half a mile by water. The cottage is also about 12 minutes from downtown Port Orchard and local shopping. Instacart services the property, and Seattle is an easy ferry-access day trip.
