The centerpiece of our resort is the largest pool in the area, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning jungle views. Our luxury villa features a master bedroom with direct access to the pool, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience.

Enjoy daily maid service with a private chef and assistant. The villa boasts numerous private balconies, providing ample space for privacy, business calls, or quiet time. High-speed fiber optic internet ensures you're always connected, while every room – from the bedrooms to the dining and living areas – is fully air-conditioned for your comfort.

We bluit the largets martial art center in Nosara, with classes available for children, beginners, and private family sessions (available at additional costs). Massage and therapy services can also be arranged for your relaxation.

This is really a beautiful location high in the trees, we loved listening to the monkeys and the pool was just amazing. Having the restaurant just down the steps was so convenient and just a few minutes from town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great location

This is a great house in a great spot. It is 2 minutes outside Guiones. The host David is a super nice guy and helped us with any questions we had.

Great Place for Chill People

We were a group of 6 adults working remotely and enjoyed our stay. However, there were some maintenance issues and while the pool is shared for set hours each day, other guests constantly came before and after them. There is some preventive maintenance and things to update, but if you're chill it would be. good place and if there is an issue they are quick to address it.

Great Family Vacation

Jungle’s Edge was the perfect property. We stayed in the big house and had so much room/privacy for each family within our family. The pool was a nice way to refresh and cool off in on and off all throughout the day. Dave and Edie were responsive and through hosts and have a team to help you with whatever you need from simple questions to booking excursions. Our chef at the restaurant served us amazing food and even prepared some fish we caught. There are also options for smaller places on property if you are traveling solo or in a couple. So conveniently located that you don’t really even need a car. Tuk tuk is a perfect option for most places. Thanks Dave and Edie for taking such good care of us. I will be back for sure.

Great place & people!

We recently had a group of 10 who stayed in the main house and enjoyed it! The layout of the house allowed for private rooms for couples and lots of common space. The pool was relaxing and enjoyable. The food was unbelievable! Kel's use of fresh ingredients and his techniques for melding flavors is incredible. We tried a few local restaurants and none of them came close for presentation, flavor or value. Some of us joined Mike for an ATV adventure to the back country and a coffee plantation. The generous couple at the plantation treated us to coffee, home made baked goods and home made cheese. All of it delicious. Bismarc always greeted us with a smile, got us scheduled for zip lining and tended to things when needed. A couple of days we had yoga class at the house and it was mindful and relaxing, the instructor was great! Cannot wait to go back...

Nosara 2022

My wife and I took my 3 older sisters, our mother, and brother and wife to Costa Rica as they have never been before. We have tried to explain how wonderful it is but it seems that pictures and your narrative can never compare to what it is really like. Everyone Had an absolute blast and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Jungles Edge. Howler monkeys in the trees around the house every morning and evening, fresh fruit growing on the trees, and completely private at the top of the hill. Extra large pool to relax around and in when we were not out exploring. We have been going to Nosara for 10 years but it was super special to be able to share the experience with family and will probably be a yearly trip now. David is a great guy and I really enjoyed the conservation we had one morning. We talked for over an hour when my sister and I were just supposed to stop in and ask a question. Could have stayed there all day but the texts were getting unbearable at that point. Everyone at Jungles Edge was very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed and I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind after fishing, surfing, or exploring.

Mixed experience

Overall this is an impressive house with a nice pool. It is lacking in a few areas, and we had some serious issues during our stay. We only used 5 of the bedrooms, as the 6th is at the top of the stairs and was too hot to be comfortable. The kitchen was stocked decently, but missing a few items (cookie sheets, a large pot for pasta) that we would have used. We would have also enjoyed having some more beach towels (only 3 in the house) and other beach items (chairs, toys). We had a major issue with the water during our stay. Apparently they installed a new washing machine and hot water heater the day before we arrived and a pipe burst. This led to multiple attempts at fixing the pipe, a flood of one of our bedrooms in the middle of the night, and the water being shut off at least once a day during our stay without warning. It would have been a bit easier to take if there had been more communication. We also had almost no hot water throughout the stay.

A Great Property with much Potential

First off, the PRO’s of the unit - Jungles edge is an awesome property with a great restaurant and awesome food and very cold beers. There are several cabins around the property so you will see some other guests by the pool from time to time but they always seemed to be respectful of the hours they could use it - the pool is an awesome pool especially if you come with a family as there is a deep end with diving board and a shallow end as well as a lap pool which runs the entire length and was great for the kids to be able to stand up near where we could swim - the house was comfortable for the most part and the A/C in the bedrooms worked well - views are awesome and the property is a quick drive to Bakers Beach - store by the road to the entry of the property The CONS of the unit - Check in is pretty much non existent so you’ll need to try and figure things out for yourself - house cannot be locked…you can lock bedrooms doors but doors to lower bedrooms cannot be locked nor can the sliding door from dining room - no A/C in the main living area which is always incredibly hot - no basics are provided (paper towel, garbage bags, salt/pepper, no beach towels, no shampoo/conditioner or body wash, hand soap bars are there but are horrible) - no mop and floors get really dirty - only one sponge and no dishwasher - toilet seats didn’t fit and were wrong size All in all I would give the property 7/10. It could be so so much better with more thought and effort by management

another Pura Vida trip with 3 families!

LOCATION. A If you want an intown location where you can walk to everything, then you will pay a lot more. If you want a location that is a little more remote, yet also with a mini super at the bottom of the hill, this location is great. We had ATV's so travel into town was easy and fun.CHECK IN was easy. David is super laid back. Because we were in the big house, my only complaint would be that we needed a laminated sheet with information. We had 3 families in the house and as the person who did the check in, I needed to relay all info to the 12 other ppl A sheet of paper (or a pdf shared via whatsapp) would be helpful so that everyone in the group knows what do to with trash, when to turn off the AC, what to do with toilet paper, etc. Little things, but for some ppl it was their first time in Nosara and i had to explain the toilet paper and AC conservation to make sure everyone was aware. RESPONSIVENESS OF THE OWNER A. Everytime we had a question or problem, David replied immediately and worked to solve the problem. Even when we had a locked gate at 5:30am, he responded immediately to help us figure out how to move the (electrical malfunctioning) gate so my hubs could make his 5:30am surf lesson! AMENITIES - A towels, washer/dryer, etc all in great condition, We had an issue with stove pilot light, but we worked around it and David called repairman immediately for assistance.

Perfect family retreat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Jungles Edge. The home was spacious and exactly as pictured and the pool was a total dream - perfect for adults and children - even my 1.5 yo had a safe and comfy spot in the small sectioned off area of the pool where he could stand. There was a family of monkeys in the tree right next to the house that we saw everyday! Loved the yoga deck area and my husband meditated on the top veranda everyday. My daughter was convinced she was staying in the Disney Encanto house because of the style and unique image carvings in each of the doors. The house is outside of the main town area but close enough to still be easily accessible throughout the day.

In the tree tops!

Great and beautiful place in the jungle. Coming from the states you have to put aside your expectations, especially if you have never traveled outside of the US. This place is very relaxed and the owner is laidback. We had so much fun with our family here. We cooked breakfast each morning and STAYED in the pool. The beach is 5 minutes away and it is awesome. We loved the town and enjoyed interacting with the locals. Daily housekeeping was a big plus. The house is not perfect but I would go back in a second. I’m sure there are nicer places in Nosara but if you are adventurous and want a special, unique experience, stay at Jungles Edge!!

HORRIBLE - DO NOT STAY HERE!

I'll start off by saying I've stayed at many rental properties over the years and I've never had a problem and I am not one to write negative reviews. My experience at the Jungles Edge was awful to say the least. The property owner completely mislead us when booking this property. First of all, the photos are very dated and do NOT represent what you are getting. We were under the impression we were getting a "gated, private and secure..." home. That was NOT the case. This is in no way a private house. Do not be fooled. We had concerns for our safety, security and privacy. This property should be described as a hostel and not listed on this website. When we arrived, we were shocked to see how far away it was from the beach. It is NOT a "short 20 minute walk". We were never checked in and we were not shown around the property what so ever. The use of the shared pool was very much downplayed by the hosts. They assured us that most of their guests prefer to go to the beach, however when we arrived to drop off our bags, there were already NUMEROUS random people at the pool and on our property playing loud music and doing drugs. Having three young females apart of my party, we did NOT feel safe staying here. These random people had direct access to our "house". There was zero security and/or monitoring system. We had no idea who was able to come onto the property. Also, one of the supposed bedrooms is really just a loft with no doors, walls, etc. The hosts ignored our concerns. We never ended up checking in and we left the property. They would not come to a resolution with us. They were uncooperative, unprofessional, deceitful and rude. I wouldn't return here if I paid to do so. Beware of staying here and also beware of booking with VRBO. They have done absolutely nothing to help us with getting a refund. Their customer service is horrible and you will be on hold for HOURS on end. Horrible experience, horrible hosts. DO NOT STAY HERE,

The guest was notified before the reservation was made that the 1st night, 2 of the rooms would not be available and she could either wait a day or rent the 4 rooms that were available and she chose to do that. She was also informed the pool was shared from 10 am-5 pm daily. This was not a issue at all. We offered to provide 1 free trip to/from the beach but she wanted us to rent/pay for a ATV and got upset when I said "no". Hi There! We are a group of 7 people interested staying at your place. Absolutely perfect

This is Nosaras hidden gem. Just close enough to the beach and play life to walk or golf cart and far enough away to feel the magic of nature and peace. I’m so grateful we stumbled across this beautiful place. Freddy and Edie were extremely accommodating, the cleaning staff was lovely, and David gave us some great mind expanding conversation. We look forward to our next stay here.

Big house, great pool

There was plenty of room for our two families in this large and charming house on the hill. Amazing outdoor space with a great pool and yoga area with a nice view. The staff down at the hostel checkin area where very helpful and friendly -- the chef even arranged to have fish tacos brought up for our whole group one night. The house could use some new light bulbs, and a new set of fresh matching towels, and a few other details looked after, but mostly the house was great and we would rent again.

Beautiful!

We spent a week at Jungles Edge, with 8 adults, 4 kids and a newborn. Everything was spectacular, David was always nearby with any questions and Edie was great in the lead-up to the trip. Very close to the beach, and main street, but still felt secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a large home for a whole family/multiple couples.

Bismark and Yaki are simply the best, they are truly the reason we keep going back. Tough to beat this property at any price!!

We travelled with 3 families, 6 adults and 7 kids ranging in ages from 12 – 16. Our Hosts, David and Edie, were very accommodating during the planning process. They have extensive “lifestyle” experience in Nosara and coordinated all activities including surf lessons, zip-lining, snorkeling, fishing, etc. Even fronting deposits and grocery money to make sure we had supplies when we arrived. The “Jungle’s Edge” property is quite unique. The main house is spacious, relatively updated and well-maintained. The pool and outside living space is the greatest asset of the property. There are lots of bedrooms- a huge primary master, another that can be considered a master, 2 more with queen beds that share a fairly small bathroom, a large loft with 2 bunkbeds and another room with queen and bunkbeds and it's own bathroom. A walk out the front door offers a close up view to the Howler Monkeys. Would strongly recommend hiring cooks for your group. Shopping for groceries is not an easy effort and kitchen cleanup is best handled by them, especially with no dishwasher. The food that was prepared was very good but a little more variety and less effort on our part to coordinate would have made the meal experience much better. When David is not around to translate, it made communicating a little tough. We did not rent cars, but had them arrange taxis from the airport. Transportation once we arrived, is relatively well managed. There are 2 vehicles available, an SUV and a large pickup truck with bench seating in the cargo area for up to 10 people. David and Manuel are available most of the time, but its best to plan your activities at least a ½ day in advance. There is a nominal charge for transportation. Playa Guiones, is great spot for surfing and sunsets. Although you can walk there, estimate about 20 -25 minutes. Carrying surfboards, chairs ( which are all available on property for a small rental fee) etc. is best done with vehicles. You can easily walk to a very good restaurant, located at the base of the property. Don't miss Olgas for sunset and dinner on the beach. There is also a fitness studio at the bottom of the property- make sure to arrange workouts with Davis- he is amazing and the kids loved their tailored workouts. Pamper yourselves with massages on the deck of the house. Everyone at Jungles Edge was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The more advanced planning you do with David, the smoother your trip will be!

What a great vacation home!!!!

The Sun House is incredible. It looks like a house they would use to host the MTV's Real World. From January 4th - January 12th 2014, 14 of us stayed at The Sun House in Nosara, Costa Rica - and we had a blast! My favorite thing about The Sun House was the infinity pool. The Sun House has the most amazing infinity pool with one of the best views in Nosara. The house really has everything you need, and some of us did not want to leave! The private chef was so worth it, they cooked us breakfast, lunch and dinner for super cheap. It was so nice not worrying about cooking and cleaning up after meals. I certainly recommend the chef and the maid service. Everything worked great at the house, we didn't have any problems at all. WiFi, TV, phone, pool table, comfortable beds, hammocks, washer/dryer, lighted pool and outside deck - everything was amazing! We even had a visit by a troop of monkeys! They climbed around the trees 20 feet from our front door, and we have some great photos. That was truly an amazing experience I will never forget. Nearby: Yoga, Surfing, Beaches, Monkeys, Restaurants, Bars, shops, coffee, Super Markets, Monkey Sanctuary (SIBU Sanctuary), fishing, Liqueria, really nice locals, etc We really had a very nice vacation, and we couldn't have stayed a nicer place. Nosara is awesome, and so is The Sun House.

Pura Vida Casa del Sol!

We were a party of 14, 9 adults, youngest child 7. The area of Nosara is a sleepy beach town, pretty quiet during this season. The house is nice and well situated and secure. We loved the pool. The owners were quite accommodating from beginning to end. They answered all questions and had great recommendations for the area. Manuel who lives on the property is awesome and so nice. The cooks and maids were equally as pleasant (can be arranged). Most of all, the pool is so so awesome. Great for the kids and even a lap lane too!. If you are here with kids, they should be able to swim. Young toddlers who cannot swim need to obviously be supervised 24/7. Thank you Edie and David for a blast in CR!! The town does close down it seems in sept and oct for heavy rain can ruin the roads (confirm that) so be sure to plan a visit to Nosara around that fact to get the most out of it!

Excellent and unbelievable retreat in a pristine paradise!

From the minute we arrived to when we left, we had the best experience possible. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help us arrange different activities months ahead of our arrival. Throughout our stay the house manager would always check to see if there was anything he could do to help out. The owners and help were truly top banana! The house itself is unbelievable! Perched on a hill overlooking the rain forest. The pictures of the house don't do it justice. The house is well laid out and easily accommodated our group of 18 people. There are plenty of nice features that come included in the house, namely the infinity pool over looking the jungle, the yoga studio, and the sun deck (which is perfect for group dinners or sunbathing during the day) to name a few. I would recommend this property to everyone from large groups and couple retreats to individuals. For people looking to have a relaxing base from where to explore the surrounding town, restaurants, beaches and activities (zip lining, quad biking, surfing, biological reserves, cave exploring, and more!) this is the perfect choice. Will be back for sure!

Blissful sanctuary in the jungle

This property is very special. We had a total of 13, including 4 children, stay here for a very short week, and we all couldn't have been happier! From the minute we arrived, we were met by the on premises caretaker, Manuel, who, despite our language difficulties, took care of us like we were visiting family. He came before we woke( or at least a few!) to clean the most beautiful, and largest, private pool we all had ever seen! Than we hired a local Tico recommended by the owner, to prepare our meals, which is so nice to come back from surf or a run or yoga, and have a nice spread of fresh fruits, juices and eggs ready for a hungry bunch. There are plenty of nooks and crannies and bedrooms so we were never felt like we were on top of each other! Did I mention the beautiful covered yoga/exercise lanai that was perfect for several of our group who are personal trainers/athletes. We had a great time and can't wait to return, plus it was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Edie. Make sure you visit Guiones mini market for everything you need! When my wife and I booked our trip we really didn't know what to expect. Upon arriving at the property we were blown away by the tropical setting and beautiful landscaping. As we continued up the driveway we were welcomed by a family of monkeys playing in the trees, and we knew then this was going be a vacation to remember. Entering the house, we realized the pics we reviewed didn't do the house justice.I have been in construction for many years and could not believe with such limited resources the amazing workmanship of the entire house. Being only about five minutes from the beach and several open air restaurants was so convenient. There was not a restaurant we visited that we didn't come away from full and satisfied. The beaches were clean, beautiful and safe and the sunsets were amazingly spectacular. There was so much to do...horseback riding,zip line, echo tours,shopping,4 wheeling,surf lessons, paddle boarding,yoga, Pilates, and of course spending time in the house infinity pool was my sons favorite. I have traveled around the world surfing and the surf was the most consistent w/ so many optional breaks within minutes of the house. Being able to book massages and have them come to the house was areal treat. Manuel the house keeper that lives at the bottom of the property with his family was very informative and always available for any need. He is also a grill master and his chicken is to die for. Taking naps on the hammocks that surrounded the house was the perfect mid day siesta, or way to end the day. We loved the sun house and will definitely return.

Beautiful Place and a Great Time!

Our family of 10 just returned from a week at The Sun House. The pool is absolutely breathtaking, and the outdoor spaces make for many opportunities to gather together or hang out and read alone in one of the breezy hammocks in the shade. Our kids had an active vacation, with surfing lessons, yoga classes, and the world's longest zipline. Our favorite restaurant was La Dolce Vita, whose extremely charming and gracious owner waited on us with style and panache, and the 9 different dishes we ordered were all equally delicious! The house was comfortable, although the A/C in the common areas was not working. In all candor, we only missed it a couple of evenings when it was still. With a breeze, we were perfectly comfortable without it. The experience is a little low-maintenance compared to some luxury rentals--you need to provide your own bath soap, dish soap, and laundry soap, and the housekeeper only comes twice a week. Still, it was clean and we didn't mind making our own beds a few mornings. The drive is a little longer than advertised--more like 2 1/2 hours from the Liberia Airport. We would not recommend trying the road along the Pacific side--while it seems more direct, it is a dusty dirt road most of the way, and we were required to ford a few shallow rivers. In the rainy season it would be impassible. Getting around locally is a little tough (bumpy, dusty dirt roads), but there is a lot to do nearby (if you like active, outdoor activities), and we had a wonderful time. One last thing--I would NOT recommend this property for a family with young children. It is on a steep hill, and there is minimal protection/guardrails etc. around the pool and some pretty steep falls are possible. That said, for teens or young adults it was fantastic.

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE IN THE SUN!!!!!

IF YOU CAN GO TO THIS PLACE IN THE SUN, RENT THIS HOUSE CALLED THE SUN HOUSE. We had a wonderful time and the cooks, fishing, surfing, car rentals and everyone was fantastic. I planned a trip for one of my clients and everything came together like clock work. These people know how to take care of their guest, the property manager was GREAT, he is the best. Edie knows Costa and can take care of any detail. I CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK;) THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY COSTA TRIP WONDERFUL.
