Awesome rental

We came down for a week with our friends and our young children. Mel was great to deal with and answered all questions quickly. The house was super clean and very spacious given each family space. The pool was warm and spotless. The kitchen and grill accommodated all our cooking needs. Nice quiet neighborhood close to everything. Couldn’t ask for a better experience we will be back.

Great stay on Martha's Vineyard!

This is a great property in a great location, just a short walk from South Beach and less than an hour walk into Edgartown. House is beautiful and comfortable. Our family group consisted of three couples, and in this house each couple had their own floor with deck. Pool is large, nice and beautifully lit at night. Side back yard offered a nice space for some whiffle ball tournaments. We had a couple of minor problems during our stay which were immediately addressed by owner and caretaker. We will definitely return here for another stay on Martha's Vineyard!

The Swimming Pool is the Star

The swimming pool was awesome. The pictures don't reveal how large it is but it is huge. It is long and deep enough to swim laps or in an infinite oval similar to a jogging track. My family used it everyday and it was warm enough even in the early morning and evening. The grill was fantastic and allowed us to have a great cook out. The house had all the utensils needed for a fabulous cozy dinner. In addition, the house came with beach chairs, coolers, and an umbrella so we had the perfect beach outing. Did I mention the house is within walking distance to the beach? The design of the house is unique and the owner was very response to every issue we had. I plan to stay again in the future.

Perfect family vacation spot!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful week at this house. After a search of several years, we have finally found the Martha's Vineyard house that we will return to for our annual August vacation. The location is perfect, the pool is divine and the house is comfortable and well equipped. We can't wait for next year!

September on MV

Plus - The house and pool were very nice and more than met our needs. Easy biking to the beach and a short drive to Edgartown. Very quiet neighborhood. Minus - VRBO said the house was available at 4PM. On arrival, the cleaning crew told us they wouldn’t be finished until 6PM. The property manager said he would be over to fix a fridge ice cube bin; we never saw him and therefore bought our own ice for the week.

Amazing pool, spacious house in Katama

We had a great week. The location is perfect, the pool was large and the house was clean, spacious and well appointed. We had a great week! There were a few minor issues (normal) and the property manager and owner were super responsive. Two small items of note: the master is a loft format that is open to the living area below (there is no door). Also, due to COVID-19, they are using a commercial linen service which provides clean sheets, towels and bed spreads. There are ample beach towels. Guests may want to bring their own blankets, if they want anything heavier/warmer.

Perfect Location

The property is ideally located within walking distance of the beach and the pool is a very nice amenity. The property owner and the property manager were both easily accessible and very helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Location location location!

Mel’s house is super clean, comfortable and well appointed. He’s a great manager and answered all my questions. Its close to the beach, bike path and Edgartown. We would Definitely return.

Great stay with friends!

What a great week in Katama! The house was exactly as pictured and perfect for our group. Everything was very clean and it was well stocked. The pool was a huge asset for our small children. Mel was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I’d definitely recommend his house!

Enchanting and peaceful

The property was everything that was in the description and more. Time you walk in the house a peaceful atmosphere surrounds you. Everything was beautiful, clean, and inviting! My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Mel and Andrea left a list of places to eat , things to see and shopping places to visit, every thing they recommended was on point! Their caretaker , Mr. Johnson was very helpful and enjoyed helping out and answering questions. When we arrived the weather was a little cool and Mel made sure the pool was comfortable for us. This is a great place with the beautiful flowers , so inviting. Great thought went in to the comfort and care of visitors and my family and I appreciated the service! This home was beautiful, enchanting and peaceful after a year of stress. My stress peeled off and happiness filled my soul! Thank You Mel!

Lovely home. Spacious and clean

My family and I were very happy with the house. The description was very accurate and the house was perfect for our family of 10. It was very clean and spacious with areas for others to hang out other than the main living space. There is lots of deck space to sit and relax and the beautiful pool which was such a bonus and well maintained. Enjoyed biking around Katama and our many breakfasts at the Katama air field. I would highly recommend this home. The owners were a delight to work with and we had all the information on the home we needed for while we were there. Would rent again.

Beautiful home for a great vacation!

Our June vacation was great – house was very clean, beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable for our large family, and provided everything we needed. We loved the layout of the house and especially appreciated that most of the bedrooms have private bathrooms. We had very little reason to leave the house and spent most of the time using the beautiful swimming pool since our children are young and don’t like to swim in the ocean. We enjoyed cooking on the barbecue in the evenings and sitting by the fire pit while our kids roasted marshmallows. The owners are so nice, very responsive, and provide a book full of recommendations of things to do and places to go on the island. We are already planning our next vacation at this beautiful home.

Spacious, well maintained, beautiful pool.

A family reunion for ten people was fully enjoyed in this house. Bedroom sizes were large and well maintained. A beautiful pool enjoyed by all(day and night)and a fire pit that enabled us to prepare smores. The house has everything that one needs to prepare meals. The owner's provided very useful information for things to do on the Vineyard, as well as, the name of a local contact should any issues/questions arise. WELL DONE and you will not be disappointed.

Clean house with ample room for a family AND in a great location for a MV Rental

The house was perfect for our week stay. Its in the best location to be near both South Beach and downtown Edgartown. The new pool is a great bonus after a long day at the beach! Highly recommend this home for anyone with a family vacationing in MV.

My family of 4 rented this house for 2 weeks with another family and their nanny. The house was clean and open with enough space that we were all comfortable. Walking distance to beach and Katama Airfield. equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, portable crib, high chair and baby gates! They thought of everything! A pool and fire pit new for 2017! Can't think of anything better!!

Fabulous Stay!

My friend and my best friend's family stayed at 9 Thaxter Lane in the Spring of 2016 with our young children and had a fabulous vacation. The home was immaculate and spotless upon our arrival (and I am a tough critic!) The house was very large, beautifully decorated, and provided more than enough space for both of our families. The open layout on the 2nd floor allowed me to prepare meals while still being able to interact with my family and friends. The kitchen was well stocked and provided me with everything that I needed to cook (although I'm by no means a professional chef!) We look forward to visiting in 2017 and are especially excited about the new pool. It's hard to imagine that the house can get any better but the pool will be the icing on the cake!
