Detaillierte Beschreibung:
Erdgeschoss
Die Hauptetage verfügt über eine geräumige, voll ausgestattete Küche mit einer großen Insel, Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl und Quarz-Theken. Die Küche ist offen zum Esszimmer, wo sich ein großer Tisch mit Platz für 10 befindet (plus 4 zusätzliche Hocker auf der Kücheninsel). Neben der Küche befindet sich eine große überdachte Veranda sowie eine Terrasse mit Gasgrill. Die abgeschirmte Veranda verfügt über zwei Deckenventilatoren für zusätzlichen Komfort und 4 Veranda-Wippen. Im Hinterhof befindet sich ein Picknicktisch, an dem bequem 10 Personen Platz finden.

Das Wohnzimmer befindet sich neben dem Esszimmer und verfügt über einen 50-Zoll-Smart-TV mit großer Schlafcouch. Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett aus dem Wohnzimmer und eine Gästetoilette.

Zweiter Stock
Im Obergeschoss finden Sie drei Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad sowie eine Waschmaschine, einen Trockner und einen Wäscheschrank. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein großes Badezimmer mit ebenerdiger Dusche, zwei Waschbecken und einer Badewanne mit Klauenfuß. Der Meister verfügt auch über einen privaten Balkon mit Platz für zwei Personen. Das zweite Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche / Badewanne. Das dritte Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett mit zwei Einzelbetten, ein Doppelbett und ein eigenes Bad mit großer ebenerdiger Dusche (dieses Badezimmer hat auch eine Tür zum Hauptflur).

Perfection

This was our 8th time (I think) staying at Dot’s House. So, needless to say, we’re big fans! The house is beautiful - spacious, clean, and stocked with everything you might need. The location is wonderful - private, but a short walk into town. Some (there are many!) of our favorite things: enjoying coffee on the private master bedroom balcony every morning, sitting in the rockers on the screened in porch watching the wildlife/listening to the birds, using the outdoor shower, knowing I don’t have to bring beach towels, chairs, umbrellas or bikes or games and stuff to do at night because all of that AND MORE are right there for you!!!! I’m addition, the host is great with communication! I cannot say enough about this property! We love it and will keep coming back every year!

This was a great place that was close enough to the town center, but tucked away so that we could retreat at night. There were multiple adults in the house and we were able to each find our space to work, eat, relax on the days we stayed in.

The best rental property in Oak Bluffs!

It’s always a pleasure to stay in this beautiful home with modern amenities and a short walk or ride to town. The convenience of bikes, fishing poles, beach gear and towels, and laundry service make this such a breeze. End of Season Stay

We (four couples) take an annual end of season trip to the Vineyard. We decided to try a new property this year and after much research we picked Dot’s House. We could not have made a better choice. The house is beautiful and well laid out. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The dining table was perfect to gather for a meal or a game and the deck and porch were perfect for quiet relaxation. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The whole first floor has the perfect layout to hang out. We would love to stay again!

Wonderful house!

We had an amazing stay at Dot’s house - it was so clean and comfortable and had so many nice touches for those with kids! There were books, beach toys, and kid plates, cups etc that were especially appreciated. The screened in porch was delightful for sitting in the evenings. We loved all of the host’s tips and with the shortcut path found it to be a quick walk into town. We hold love to stay here again!

Excellent Property

This was my first visit to Martha's Vineyard and this property was AWWWESOME!!! The house is absolutely lovely, all update appliances throughout the home, close to Oak Bluffs downtown area (within walking distance) with shops, dining and grocery. This place is amazing! Before I forget, the private outside shower is an absolute must. I think I took all my showers out there, as did the kids! Not only does keep the sand out, it just feels amazing and with the sun to dry you outside - bliss. The house is fantastic - the photos are great, but I would say it’s even more so in person. It really feels like a modern home, everything is well equipped and the hosts are clearly creating a thoughtful retreat. Cooking there was an absolute joy. The decks are wonderful, including the screened off porch. It’s also super helpful to have beach chairs available, etc. The location is also great, it close to everything but private. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

First Trip was Fantastic

This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard and it was wonderful. This rental was as good or better than any I have stayed in as Liz's house provided every amenity needed. Not only is the house amazing, the access to games, beach chairs and towels made packing easier. We enjoyed all the interior and exterior spaces fully and loved the location. But even more helpful were Liz's recommendations. She was so helpful and easy to reach. Can't say enough and we hope to come back next year.

What a wonderful place for a vacation!

Liz's home was fantastic! Everything you could possibly want or think of was available. Following Liz's instructions we were able to get back and forth to the center of town via foot or bike in no time. Even my 81 year old mother was able to make the walk. The house was clean, and thoughtfully furnished - just like the pictures. We spent lots of time reading on the closed in porch and picnicking in the backyard. I am absolutely going to book this gem again.

Dot’s House is Awesome!

Exactly as advertised. Very clean four bedroom house. Large kitchen and dining area made family meals and game nights fun. We would definitely stay at Dot’s House again! Our only very minor comment would be to maybe add a free standing clothes rack in the main bedroom. The main suite closet was locked (which is totally understandable) but it would’ve been nice to be able to hang some of our clothes in the room. The overall experience was wonderful! Thank you!

New and immaculately maintained home

If you are vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, this is the home to stay in! Beautiful, spacious and a reasonable walk to Oak Bluffs. As a germaphobe, I also appreciated hardwoods throughout the house and the general cleanliness. Coffee on the screened-in porch was a nice, relaxing start to our days and we enjoyed the great bike rides around town. Like the reviewers before me, Liz was a gem and fantastic to work with...extremely responsive and so proactive in providing information on island activities and favorite restaurants. Thank you for making our stay hassle-free and enjoyable, would recommend to anyone visiting MV!

Excellent Experience

The property was better than advertised. It was fully equipped and tastefully decorated. Everything was in first class order and very clean. The only thing to be aware of is that the water heater is on demand, which means you may have to wait several minutes for hot water to flow from the tap. This was duly noted in the materials about the property.

Perfection

This was our first visit to Martha’s Vineyard and we stayed in Liz’s gorgeous house. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 6. The pictures of the house are beautiful, but the house is even better in person. There is plenty of space for everyone, but the lovely open floor plan makes it easy to all hang out together. The location is so convenient to the ferry terminal and many restaurants, etc. Liz has thought of everything and was so kind and quick to respond to any message. This was definitely one of my favorite properties we have ever rented. Loved it! Thank you, Liz!

Perfect Vineyard Getaway

From the moment we walked in we felt relaxed. A beautiful well thought out home furnished with perfection. The open floor plan downstairs is great for families and entertaining. We loved having the laundry upstairs near all the bedrooms. The owners had bikes to use and it was a very short ride to town to access all Oak Bluffs has to offer. Every night was spent rocking in the chairs on the screened in porch enjoying the wonderful weather. The quiet street was perfect for the kids to ride their bikes and run around. I can't say enough wonderful things about the house and our stay. Thank you Liz for your immediate responses to any question and wonderful welcome. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic First Time Rental Experience

This was our first time renting on Martha's Vineyard and through VRBO. The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. Liz was fantastic at communicating prior to our trip so that we knew exactly what to expect upon our arrival. We couldn't have asked for a better property on the island. There were four adults and two teenagers in our party and the house offered space for everybody. Separate bathrooms allowed everybody to be ready when we actually had plans and the common areas allowed us to gather in a variety of ways. The balcony off the master bedroom provided a private getaway, and the screened porch allowed family to gather without the nuisance of bugs. We will not have to bring as many clothes the next trip because of the washer/dryer availability. The kitchen was fantastic (although with the great restaurants in town we hardly used it). The location near town was perfect for walking when you needed your ice cream fix, or an early morning stroll for baked goods. There were also bikes available if we didn't want to get in the car or walk. The thing that was most impressive about our stay was the willingness of the owners to make sure that we were taken care of. The little touches around the house made us feel as though we were home. Liz was quick to respond to any questions we had, and offered ideas for us to consider while we were staying. There were parts of the island we didn't get to because we were content to stay around the house and Oak Bluffs. We would definitely return to this wonderful property!

We are a family of four who love the island more than anything in the world. I was raised as a year round resident of the island, but am raising my family in the Boston area. We split our time between Boston and the Island and are thrilled to have built a home for our friends, family, and guests!

The land on which this home was built was purchased in 1966 by Dorothy House, the great-grandmother of the current homeowner. Dorothy was an Oak Bluffs businesswoman who owned Dot’s Restaurant (now the Mad Martha’s location) and later Dot’s Snacks (now the Edgartown National Bank branch next to the Flying Horses). She lived for many years in a Gingerbread cottage at the end of Circuit Ave (now Cousin Rose Art Gallery). Her great-granddaughter remembers her fondly and is thrilled to have had the opportunity to turn the land purchased a half-century ago into a home shared by friends and family. In her memory, we have named this home Dot’s House.

This home has all the modern conveniences one would want in a vacation rental, while still honoring the charm of victorian architecture. We built this home with multiple groups in mind, which means there is plenty of room for everyone to be together, while still having private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms for everyone's enjoyment and relaxation.

The home is in the perfect location: You can walk or bike to town and enjoy the hustle and bustle of OB, but return to the serenity of this home, which is nestled on a quiet street. The screened in porch provides a quiet enjoyment into the evening.
