A Backdrop Dream - 3BR/3BA Log Home, Hot Tub, Firepit
Experience mountains as far as the eye can see from your own personal mountaintop playground at A Backdrop Dream. From the moment you arrive you know you are in a special place. Big mountain views, a pristine setting and the sounds of a babbling creek welcome you to this newly updated spacious three-story log cabin including loft with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, sleeping 10. A Backdrop Dream is the place to go to get back to nature and experience the luxury of mountain living at its best.
.
As you pull up to this beautifully maintained home you are greeted with the first of many amenities, the large outdoor hot tub just waiting for your enjoyment sitting adjacent to the game room with pool table on the lower level of the home. High above you will see the main floor wraparound deck with its outdoor bar seating where you have views of either the creek below or the spectacular mountain scenery. Regale friends with the adventures of the day while waiting for your dinner to finish on the gas grill adjacent to the deck bar or just sit still and listen to the creek below.
For the more adventurous, the outdoor fire pit and private patio is a perfect setting for conversations under the stars or building a few old-fashioned s’mores made over an open fire. Right there, in your own private mountain setting.
Family and friends will enjoy the fully stocked kitchen opening out to the main living area with its large comfortable leather couches. All will sleep comfortably with one king bedroom on the main floor, and an additional king bedroom on the upper floor with additional queen sofa sleeper in the adjacent loft area. Downstairs you will find the third bedroom with two twin beds as well as one full pull-out futon in the game room for additional sleeping space. There is a full bath on each level of the cabin. Ready for fun? The game room on the lower level offers a pool table, foosball table and large screen streaming TV with all your favorite apps to connect to as well as an XBox for all your gaming needs. There is also a high-def streaming TV in the main floor living area and in both king bedrooms as well. High Speed Internet & Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, stone wood-burning fireplace, and central heat and air round out this beautiful cabin.
Please note this property is dog friendly. Please contact the Property Manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there will be an additional non-refundable pet fee, not included in the base rent. We’ll need to know breed, weight and number of pets you will be bringing, during your stay, some restrictions apply. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The approach to this property is a steep mountain road. We do experience seasonal inclement weather in this region. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive and/or snow tire chains would be required in winter weather events.
There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. A Backdrop Dream is located minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway making it a perfect location for exploring the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy a day of shopping the local boutiques and craft shops or dining at the local cuisine in historic downtown Waynesville less than 15 minutes away. The Museum of the Cherokee Indian is about 30 minutes away. While in Cherokee try your hand at Harrah’s Casino.
Also located within a 15-minute drive are local micro-breweries, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channels "American Pickers"), Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart, and many great restaurants. Within 30 minutes are Asheville and the Biltmore Estates & Winery, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express" during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Within an hour is Hendersonville where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with enormous dining Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more. Just a little more than an hour’s drive away you can get to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
