Welcoming and cozy oasis to relax after enjoying outdoor adventures, events, and the area. Convenient 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk to main street and Mirror Lake and 5-minute drive to the grocery store. Bedrooms each have their own closet, luggage rack, and alarm clock with usb ports. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other is a full-sized bed. The couch pulls out into a queen-sized bed. There is also a pack-n-play that awaits for children two and under. Kitchen is newly updated with a stainless-steel stove, fridge, microwave, and a Keurig (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) or warm the local cuisine left over from one of the many dining options available in the area. A kitchen table can be used for dining or conveniently as a workstation using wireless internet and a comfortable couch and chairs. For and after dinner, hang out around outdoor fireplace enjoying s'mores, playing games, or access the Roku TV inside that allows you to log into various apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or cable). Whether going out or attending a special occasion, the relaxing shower allows you to unwind, and the bathroom has ample space to pamper yourself. Hike & Ski Hideaway, Short Term Rental ID #300010.

Great condo

Mikaela is a great host - who makes you feel super welcome. Her home is very clean, with thoughtful accessories (deck chairs, coffee, lots of towels, etc). About a 10-15 min walk to centre of town. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Placid Hideaway

Great visit to Lake Placid

We had a great stay at the property. The owner was in contact with me right after booking and provided any information we needed. Property was clean, neat and just what we needed. Very cozy apartment. The host goes all out to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Great apartment

Great space for a family with kids, perfectly stocked with anything you may need during the stay, from kitchen to bathroom and laundry room. Mix of games for different ages and useful guides and maps for hiking trips. Mikaela was a perfect host, highly recommended!

Perfect winter holidays stay

It was an amazing place to saty at the Lake Placid town because the house was very clean when we came and we had everything we needed to spend the few days. And we also really enjoyed the fireplace at the side of the house to toast some marshemellows. Thank you so much for making this the best winter holidays my family ever had.

Cozy and Comfortable

We had a lovely stay here. The lodging was very clean and has been beautifully decorated and renovated. All of the amenities we needed were readily available. Location was fantastic, within walking distance of Main St. in Lake Placid and driving distance to many trailheads for hiking. The patio and outdoor fireplace were a bonus. Mikaela was an excellent host, checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Serene and Full of Meaningful Details

This VRBO was an exceptionally peaceful stay. Nice and quiet and the host has brought the beauty of the Adirondacks into the rental with exceptional art. She also provided for every possible need: shampoo, k-cups for the Keurig, trash bags for the bin, tide pods for the washing machine, and the list goes on! As an added bonus, the pillows in the beds were the most comfortable I have encountered anywhere- better than most hotels!

Convenient location, well stocked and very homey

We had a great stay! The location was just a few minutes drive or walk into Lake Placid, very convenient. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with anything we might need which was a great surprise when we realized we needed creamer for coffee in the morning and it was already in the fridge. Beds and pillows were very firm, but still comfy. I'm big on blankets and there were plenty to go around. I relaxed in the hammock a bit which was just perfect. The communication was also top notch -- our questions were answered before we even had a chance to ask. Overall great experience!

Perfect location for our trip

In LP for 1/2 Marathon. My daughter and i both teach Yoga. THE deck was a perfect space, nicely secluded Inside was great had the washer and dryer .my husband i cMe from Florida for this event no dirty cloths to fly home. Well stocked with spices coffee. Just a sweet stay. We shall be back

Comfortable, well-furnished apartment in separate building from owner's home on quiet street. Kitchen is well furnished and functional, beds with firm, comfortable mattresses. Parking onsite, 15-20 minute walk to Olympic Center and downtown Lake Placid with well-lit sidewalk most of the way (there's a somewhat shorter route that requires walking on streets that are somewhat busier and darker; not recommended at night). Would definitely stay again. Only downside was a somewhat noisy dehumidifier in the hallway that ran for the entire first day of our 4-day stay, but did not run after that.

A perfect little hideaway

This was the perfect space for my husband and I to stay in while watching USCSA Nationals at Mt. Vanhovenberg. Close to the venue, incredibly clean, and just the right size for the two of us.
