Summary:

Welcome to Casa Pina! Located right in the heart of Marathon. Enjoy your trip to the keys in this stunning custom canal-front, 3 bed/3 bath private house comfortably accommodating 8 ppl, with soaring 25 ft wood ceilings, your own private pool, large yard, 40 ft dock, kayaks, paddle boards, grill. Plus a huge screened in Patio and game room with a pool table. Driveway with Ample parking, enough for four cars+ or three and a boat. This house has everything you need for your Florida Keys getaway!



The Space:

The upstairs living area spans roughly 1,500 sq ft with a great open floor plan living space with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. ***Brand new, high-end kitchen coming along with some new furniture and exterior refresh coming Fall 2025 (updated pictures to follow)***



The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The oversized second bedroom also has a king size bed with a queen size sleeper sofa. The third bedroom has a queen/full bunk bed.



For your sleeping comfort, all mattresses are Casper mattresses. Also provided is ultra fast 800mb/s internet to satisfy all of your streaming or work-from-home needs. There are TV's in every bedroom with Xfinity cable channels and streaming, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney +.



The downstairs adds about another 800 sq ft of indoor/outdoor entertaining space that is great gathering with family and friends. The huge screened in porch has its own dining area, bar with a TV, seating area and full bathroom. Additionally, there is a game room that has a 7 foot pool table/ping pong table. There is also an outdoor refrigerator with a freezer for the fishermen to store their bait.



Outside you have your pool, grill and plenty of places to gather with your family and friends. For your enjoyment there are paddle boards and kayaks provided that can be launched from the dock. **POOL HEATER ADDED 2023 (pool heat is included!)



Bring your up to 35 foot boat and head out to partake in the Florida Keys world renowned fishing, just a 2.5 mile ride to the Knights Key Channel for quick access to the Ocean or Gulf.



For your convenience we have a Sunday check in/check out, which will give you lighter traffic both ways and cheaper airfare.

Guests will have access to the entire property. The only area with no access to guests is the garage.



The Neighborhood:

This house is very centrally located in Marathon, close to everything the key has to offer. Its also incredibly convenient with plenty with in walking distance including Sandle Factory, a deli/liquor store, a theater, gym, Walgreens, Publix and Winn Dixie, all with in a very short walk. Marathon's prettiest beach, Sombrero Beach is just a mile down the road.

We had a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 teenagers) and were comfortable in the house. Plenty of room for sleeping and hanging out during the day. We loved the outside area with pool and dock. We would stay here again.

Amazing host, great location

Wonderful option, perfect for a family & friends vacation. Very nice house, with all the necessary facilities for a lot of fun, very cozy and well located (halfway between Miami and Key West, 5 minutes walk from supermarket/pharmacy, 10 minutes drive from Sombrero Beach). José Muñoz, the host, provided amazing support ahead and during the stay, making everything very easy and very reliable. To be repeated!

House is very relaxing, well laid out open space. The choices of coffee was outstanding. The pool was inviting as well as the dock. We made use of the pool table and cooked several meals in the full kitchen. The location was convenient being near Keys Fitness, Publix, a dive shop, and of course the Theatre.

Great Stay in Marathon

We had a great stay at this home in Marathon- it is even nicer in person. Plenty of room for the family to spread out & the kayaks & paddleboards were perfect! The home had everything we needed. It is walking distance to Publix - a few little restaurants & the Brass Monkey if you want to venture out at night - lol. It is at the end of the canal so the boat ride out is a bit long (plan accordingly) & there are a couple of restaurants on the water along the way. The home is near some commercial properties but that did not bother us. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our time, had some issues with the air conditioning in the beginning band the owner was very quick to respond and address the situation. The only downside was nothing the owner could help, the one side of the property shares a road with the commercial building that is the mail center. We prefer more privacy. Over all good stay.

Fantastic home in the middle Keys

We spent a fabulous week at Jose's beautiful house in Marathon. It was even better than pictured and perfect for our family of five. There is ample space upstairs, very clean and comfortable bedrooms and an open kitchen with everything you need. Downstairs is the awesome game room (family ping pong tournaments) and Florida room for relaxing near the pool. We had tons of fun playing in the pool and also exploring the nearby canals by kayak. We loved everything about the house and garden and the location was super convenient to our activities in Marathon. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house was exactly what we wanted. Inside was very comfortable and clean and the outside area was very private with a fairly short ride out to open water. The downstairs area w/bathroom was great when we were hanging out at the pool and served as a place to organize our dive gear between trips. The game room was also a hit with our kids. Jose was very quick to respond to any questions. He also provided some local suggestions that I hadn't tried in prior visits. I would book here again.

Comfortable and relaxing

Jose was quick to respond to any requests and very good at communicating with us about check in process/location and recommendations. I don't know if its because of the recent hurricane or if it just needs fixing but the screened porch was not bug proof and we ended up not using that space as much as we had hoped due to bites. The rest of the house was great with plenty of amenities to keep us busy. We loved the fish light and feeding the fish in the canal. All of the iguanas and lizards were fun to watch. Overall a nice home base while we stayed in the keys.

Amazing Keys family home with exceptional amenities & service

This beautiful home is located conveniently in Marathon and close to many great restaurants and activities. The interior house layout provided lots of comfort and space for our family to sleep and to spread out and enjoy all the activities it offers including the pool table/ping pong, board games, and movies. The outdoor area was spacious and private. Our family loved swimming in the pool, laying in the sun, using the dock for kayaking and paddleboarding, and relaxing in the screened patio. The home was very clean & organized and all the furnishings were high quality; especially the mattresses, pillows, and bedding. The owner had so many extra touches in the home, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms, and goes to no end to ensure the guests are comfortable. The parking area is large and well lit and entry to the home is safe and secure. We have rented vacation homes for years all over Florida and this home is one of the cleanest and nicest we have stayed in, and the owner was a pleasure to rent with.

From the very beginning the communication with Jose was very clear and detailed. He answered all of my questions and then some. He called and checked on us upon arrival to make sure we didn't need anything. The warm welcome was much appreciated. The property is filled with all the comforts of home you may need while on vacation. The beds slept very comfortably. The outdoor space is the main attraction of the house. The comfortable outdoor furniture inside an enclosed patio that included a bar area, dining table area, extra refrigerator along with an outdoor shower and bathroom made for long afternoons outside in the warm air feeling the breeze from the waterway outside the backyard. Jose pays attention to detail and thoroughly cares about you and enjoying your stay at his VRBO. I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Family Vacation

My fiancé and I brought my family down from Georgia for a fun summer vacation. We had an amazing time! With our two dogs the fenced in back yard was perfect. We had a week of enjoying the pool, paddle boards, kayaks, and ping pong tournaments. Jose even checked with us during the trip to ask if we needed any recommendations or anything they could do to make the trip better. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Will definitely be looking to rent a vacation stay with him again!

We only needed one thing.

First let me start off by saying that Jose is an absolutely wonderful host. He reached out a week before our check-in date by sending us a very thorough welcome letter. He also stayed in contact throughout out our stay to make sure we didn’t have any needs or questions. They day after we checked out he sent an email thanking us for staying and hoping that we had made it back home safely. The property was amazing. EVERYTHING we could possibly need. The beds were comfortable! There were TVs available in every common room (not that we used them much). The kitchen provided everything we needed. When we weren’t out on the pontoon we rented from Marathon Pontoon Rental (which we were able to dock at the home) we enjoyed playing pool, hanging out in the sitting area, and playing in the pool. We also took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks and checked out Boot Key Harbor. We were also lucky enough to see a manatee in the channel. There were also resident iguanas that we would see from time to time. We got to see some pretty fish off of the dock as well. We were there for a week with our family and a fur baby. We had so much fun experiencing the Keys. The area is beautiful and the vibe is island time. If you don’t know what that is you will learn what is is and come to love it! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The only thing we needed was more time. Thank you Jose!! We hope to come back in the future!

Overall we were very happy with our choice. The place was cleaned and well equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. Having the dockside access was great for kayaking. The property is on the backside of a strip mall so we would occasional hear the trucks driving down the road to unload. Walking distance to the supermarket, drug store and many other conveniences. Close driving to some of the great restaurants in the area. We also brought our dogs with us and they were very happy with their stay as well. The owner was very friendly and easily reached when needed for one small issue. They also sent us a very thoughtful anniversary gift!

A great place for a family vacation

Our first time visiting the keys and we were more than happy with the location we chose. The owner was in constant communication with me to make sure everything was OK. The place was clean and house was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the pool and one day we had 3 manatees hanging in the canal. My kids enjoyed hanging in the kayaks right next to the manatees. I would highly recommend staying at this place.

Awesome house!!

This was a great house and vacation for our kids and dogs!! The house was nice and clean, and there was good privacy in the backyard and pool area. The screened on backporch was a great touch, to hang out and eat dinner a couple nights. The provided baby gate was a very nice and thoughtful touch, esp. with kids and animals walking around. The living room furniture was very nice and comfortable. I would only say that the master bed mattress was a little firm for our liking, but we still slept well. Would definitely stay again!! :)

Great Trip!!!

Flawless property. We enjoyed our stay here in pure comfort. From the pool to the pool room. For a fisherman access 4 blocks away to put the boat in was a breeze. Marathon has so much to offer. We went to the lighthouse a few times to snorkel. Great time for everyone. Went offshore to fish. Great time for me. Bayside for tubing and sandbar hopping. My wife Katie and I met in New Jersey, where we both grew up, in 2010. We moved to Miami, FL shortly after having our son Nico back in 2018, where we live today. Katie works in Private Equity and I am a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Advisor.

We spent many years traveling the country and the world, using vacation rental services almost everywhere we went. We are excited to now be able to offer our own property to travelers to make memories in, as we have made so many memories in the homes we stayed in over the years.

We will soon be a family of four with a little girl about to join us so we have put a considerable amount of thought into making this home a fun place for kids, as we use it whenever it is available to us as a quick get away and to make memories of our own.

We fell in love with this homes breathtaking dramatic cathedral ceilings and custom wood design. It is a very unique property. You can tell when you are in the house that every part of the home was well thought out and if you look carefully on every window and door frame you will see a different nautical themed carving on each corner.

However, the part of the home that really got our attention is the downstair area with the amount of potential for fun and entertaining. The screened in porch is amazing to sit on during nice breezy nights and the back and side yard make for a great open area for family gatherings. Catching fish is a breeze off the back dock and make sure you turn on the underwater light at night time to watch the fish go by.

We've been able to modernize the house to fit the needs of the today's family, making rooms more private and making the living space more functional. Being on the water is what living in the Keys is all about and that is one of the biggest benefits to this house. We've added a floating dock and ladder for easy access to the water to launch paddle boards and kayaks or for access to your own boat. Don't forget to turn on the underwater dock light at night time and enjoy the show.

The location of this property is also extremely convenient, with the ability to walk to a number of stores, restaurants, a theatre, gym and grocery stores. You have quick access to Overseas Highway to get to any other restaurants or activities during your stay.
