Nestled right along the creek, this cozy yet spacious cabin features a large deck overlooking the water, offering incredible views and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Start your morning with coffee while listening to the creek, take in the great mountain views, or gather with family and friends on the outdoor seating area on the creek side deck. In the evenings, enjoy the crisp mountain air around the outdoor fire pit under a sky full of stars. The cabin also features a side deck with a grill and two lounge chairs, making it a great spot for outdoor cooking, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Inside, the cabin offers comfortable spaces for relaxing and spending time together. The full kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, and the adjoining dining area provides plenty of seating for shared meals and conversation. The main floor bedroom is ideal for kids or additional guests and features a twin-over-full bunk bed plus an additional twin bed. A full bathroom with a shower connects directly to this bedroom for convenience. Upstairs you'll find two additional bedrooms with beautiful views of the creek. The primary suite includes a king bed, TV, and a desk/workspace, making it perfect for relaxing or catching up on remote work while enjoying the peaceful setting. The second upstairs bedroom features a queen bed and TV, with windows that overlook the creek and surrounding nature. THIS POOR REVIEW IS NOT FOR THE PROPERTY – it’s for Durango Red Cliff Properties, the property management company. We give the property 5 stars! It is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable.The Property Managers did not properly prepare this rental for guests. There were supplies and amenities missing, there were broken items, and their communication was lacking. (Which we found was a common theme when researching this company.) However, the reason for the bad review is because of RCP’s lack of vetting, inventory, and preparation for guests – specifically SERIOUS SAFETY VIOLATIONS. They were also unwilling to admit the deficit or compromise on a refund we considered fair and reasonable. Although they manage numerous properties in the area, we will not rent a property they manage again because of concern for our safety. For property owners out there who use RCP, we’d highly recommend they follow up and make sure they aren’t placing you in a serious liability situation.Although our complaint remains unresolved, we believe the safety issues we had with this property have been corrected. Hopefully future renters will be safe.

Regarding your review, we are disappointed by the characterization of our company. At no point were there any safety violations at the property. When a smoke detector battery started beeping shortly after your arrival, our team responded immediately to address it sending out maintenance shortly after your call. The home had properly installed and functioning smoke detectors, and unfortunately batteries can fail without warning despite routine inspection and preparation. We also disagree with the comments regarding communication and missing amenities. Our team responded promptly to calls and messages throughout your stay, including late evening communication, and worked to address every concern brought to our attention. No amenities were missing from the property; the only overlooked item was a kitchen sponge, for which we reimbursed you $25 for the inconvenience. Although the detector issue only took less than 2 hours to be fully resolved, we still provided a full night’s refund as a gesture of goodwill. While we are sorry you did not feel that was fair, we also did not feel that a request for a full refund of all four nights was reasonable for an issue that was promptly addressed and resolved. We would also note that the statement regarding our company reputation does not reflect the experience of the vast majority of our guests and homeowners. We have earned hundreds of 5-star reviews across our properties and have built a strong reputation in the Durango area through responsive service and professional management. While we understand the battery issue was frustrating, we do not believe a promptly resolved maintenance issue justifies describing our company as unsafe or negligent. We take guest safety and property care very seriously and stand behind the service we provide to both guests and homeowners. We appreciate feedback, but we also believe reviews should accurately reflect the facts of the situation.
