Garth Newell - GOODYEAR LAKE - Built in 2010, Garth Newell means New House in Welsh. This private apartment is located on the lower level of the owner's home. Garth Newell guests enjoy a stone patio with rocking chairs, a deck with picnic table and a fire pit on the lawn - all overlooking the 135 foot waterfront. There is a private entrance and a dock for swimming and fishing. The owner provides three tandem kayaks,1 canoe, and a stand up paddle board, and fishing gear for your pleasure. A hammock provides relaxation.

The spacious main room includes a kitchen and living area. There is a separate dining area.

Note: Owner lives above in Main House, and has 4 outside cats. They are not allowed in the apartment, but you may see them on the grounds. You will enjoy as much privacy as you would in a hotel room.

Great location 15 minutes from All Star Village. So peaceful! Great outdoor feel, very quiet. Loved our stay, hosts are super friendly.

Amazing house and location

We loved our stay at Garth Newell. It was relaxing and comfortable for us. Can’t beat the location of being on a small lake, with the opportunity to use the canoes and fishing poles. This was wonderful place to come home too after the busyness of the baseball tournament. We’d love to stay again if we find ourselves back this way!

A great stay

Great spot! Close to ASV but far enough to make it feel like a vacation. We had various ages here and everyone enjoyed it. The fishing, kayaking, swimming in the lake all despite the rain we had was such a great break from the field. Being able to grill and have smores at night was great. Would definitely re book here in the future 😊

Beautiful, peaceful, serene

We stayed here while our son was playing at Cooperstown ASV. It was wonderful, and about a 15-20 min drive. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful and made our stay even better. I would say having them on sight was a benefit for sure- our son was injured at ASV (tore open his knee twice) and the host was so helpful in helping us navigate the area (three urgent care visits) and even provided aide to him in the way of supplies, out of the goodness of her own heart. So kind. My 17 year old son was out kayak fishing at dawn and dusk… we caught many fish off of the docks and all throughout the lake. My daughters were paddle boarding and swimming continually, My 12 year old son spent hours and hours in the canoe when baseball playing was no longer an option. Smores at night, washer and dryer, easy access to parking and down, and what a gorgeous lake, did I mention wonderful hosts?! It was a vacation we will never forget, and we have talked time and time again about how staying in this home was such a gift to us!
