The interior decor is a delight with a rustic atmosphere and high-end touches here and there. You'll find a convenient kitchenette with a full-size fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker, and a two-burner stove. It's ideal for quick snacks or meals or to heat up delivery food. You can choose to dine at the high three-person table in front of the flatscreen TV with streaming services or snuggle up on the equally-located sofa. Don't hesitate to bring your laptop with you to work or study from home as this apartment offers a desk in the bedroom. You won't have to venture far for unlimited fun, as you will be very close to the public beach and this neighborhood is the most touristic place in Playa del Carmen, surrounded by many restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Though you will be near the hustle and bustle of the city, you will still have your own peace and quiet when need be. If you feel like venturing out a bit more, Paseo del Carmen, taking the ferry to Cozumel, 5th Street, nightlife, beaches, Cenotes, fashion stores, guided tours, recreational parks such as Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplore, and Cirque du Soleil are all great options! Or set out to explore Tulum Jaguar Park (Parque del Jaguar).

Terrible

We stayed in the Blue Buddha on the first floor. The building is new but poorly designed and constructed. Asked for another unit but told we had to move immediately instead with a full refund which is impossible in mid February. The wooden floors squeak terribly. The interior is dark with no natural light. It looks onto a mural on a concrete wall. The glass doors do not lock and have no screens. It is easy to access any condo by anyone with the number system. No hot water in the kitchen or bathroom sinks. The two burner stovetop only works with small pans. Microwave is not attached to the high shelf. Only a few dishes which are plastic and harmful to use in the mic. The table is too high for the chairs. If you sit on the sofa your head bumps into the table. The step inside the condo cause you to fall. Very few towels available which had to be replaced at the renter’s expense. We got one free pass in two weeks because of all the issues. Attempts to have personal laundry sent out were never acknowledged. The rooftop and pool were our refuge.

Excellent & Centrally Located

This one bedroom one bath apartment is centrally located, just steps away from PDC's main avenue (5th) and a public entrance to the beach. There is a 7-11, pharmacy, and ATM, all within a 2 minute walk. A grocery store is about a 10 minute walk. It is an interior apartment, so light is at a minimum, but the style and location, as well as the comfortable bed and apartment amenities make this a great rental. There is a rooftop pool and hot tub, which has cabanas and a bar area (unstaffed). There is also a small gym. If you wish to have a cleaning service during your stay you need to make arrangements at least 2 days in advance and there is a fee. The local operations team was amazing to work with, particularly Isis. She arranged for our tours, and when we wished to cancel one tour because we were unhappy with the first tour we went on, she immediately got us a refund and provided the tour company our feedback. Isis also arranged for our COVID tests to be given at our building. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciated working with Isis. I highly recommend this apartment and plan to reserve it in the future.

Awesome location, location, location!! 5 min walk to Mahekal Beach and right by 5th Ave restaurants and bars. Comfortable bed and small, efficiency kitchen. Only downside was there is no view. Sliding glass door for fresh air, but looks at mural on next building about 2 feet away, so no sunlight in apt. Nice building. Pool area was small, so hard to find a chair at times. Isis at the desk was very helpful if you need anything.
