The Space:
Morning light filters through sound-dampened balcony doors as trade winds drift up from Waikiki Beach, just a block away. From the 20th floor, you take in sweeping ocean view and bay view vistas while the city moves gently below. Coffee on the private lanai becomes a daily ritual, with Pacific blues stretching beyond the palms and the rhythm of Honolulu setting an easy pace.
The condo
This entire 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo at the Waikiki Banyan comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. The corner-unit layout offers added privacy and expansive views, while split AC and ceiling fans keep the space comfortable in Hawaii’s warm, consistent climate. A 55 inch HDTV with standard cable and an Ethernet connection provide easy entertainment indoors, and a dedicated workspace with a desk and office chair supports remote work needs. Elevator access and a single level home layout with no stairs in the home add everyday convenience.
Sleeping arrangements
The bedroom features a queen bed, cotton linens, room-darkening shades, and clothing storage with a closet and dresser. A pull-out sleeper sofa in the living area accommodates up to two additional guests, best suited for children or shorter stays. Extra pillows and blankets are provided for added comfort.
Kitchen and dining
The kitchen gives you the freedom to prepare meals at your own pace, whether it’s a simple breakfast before heading out or dinner enjoyed at the dining table. Coffee is provided, and the open layout keeps the living and dining areas connected and easy to gather in.
Bathroom and essentials
The bathroom includes a bathtub and bathroom essentials to support a comfortable stay. Bed linens, towels, and everyday essentials are provided.
Outdoor living and amenities
Step onto your private patio or balcony to enjoy outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area framed by ocean air. Beach essentials are available for days by the water, and shared beach access makes it easy to reach the shoreline nearby. Back at the building, guests have access to a shared heated outdoor pool, shared hot tub, and shared sauna. Please note the pool and hot tub are under renovation until May 2026. A shared BBQ grill, sun loungers, and an EV charger - level 2 are also available on-site.
Parking and services
Free parking garage on premises - 1 space is included. Paid washer and paid dryer are available in the building, with a laundromat nearby. Long term stays of 28 days or more are allowed, and self check-in with a keypad ensures a smooth arrival.

The Banyan also offers parking for those exploring by car.

The recreation deck at Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete transformation and is scheduled to officially reopen on May 15, 2026.
Once completed, this will be the largest recreation deck in Waikiki, entirely rebuilt with all-new amenities, landscaping, and furniture. The redesigned space will include:

• Three brand-new hot tubs
• A brand-new sauna
• All new loungers and daybeds
• Modern barbecue and grill stations with seating
• A children’s playground
• A full tennis and play court

Great place to stay
It was a great place for your vacation. The view was beautiful, great location with restaurants and shops nearby, the beach is literally a 5 minute walk. The only downside is that the pool and bbq deck was closed for renovations, however I was informed ahead and was offered a discount for the inconvenience. Other than that, the experience was wonderful and we had a great time there. Would definitely recommend this place and Midway Vacation as a company.

A great place in a great location
Comfortable, quiet condo. Just like the photos. A 3ish block walk to beaches, shopping and restaurants. Really appreciated the sound reducing windows that shut out most of the street noise. The bed is soft with a hammock type feel. This was fine for me, but my husband didn’t like it. Would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful location
We so enjoyed our 10 days in Waikiki. The unit was perfect and just as described. The location was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The trolley stopped in front of the Waikiki Hilton so that was very convenient. We definitely recommend this unit and Midway. Very clean and nice location
The unit was very clean and everything was as pictured. The location is great (a short 3-4 minute walk to Waikiki Beach) and the free parking in the ramp is a great perk. To clarify, although there is a separate bedroom, it is an open doorway between the bedroom and the living area so there is not any privacy.

Waikiki Banyan is a very good property. A small provisions store and coffee shop were very conveniently located in the lobby.The unit we stayed in was clean and bright and quiet with very nice views. The drawbacks were: air -conditiong vents couldn't be moved so we sometimes felt we were in a strong draft; could have used a comfy chair so we didn't all have to sit on the couch.With the first two complaints fixed - I would stay here again. (and can you fit in a dishwasher?

Property was nice, but hidden fees suck
Other than a small, strange, non-working bidet toilet seat, the property was flawless and had a fantastic view. Communication was prompt and effective.It was just the hidden fees and the immediate lock-in of the reservation. Those two things will keep me from using VRBO for business travel ever again.

Great time in Honolulu
Nice unit, terrific view! Management was very helpful. The location is good - very close to the main Waikiki streets, but far enough away that foot traffic and noise outside the building are significantly less. Having a non-valet parking spot in the building is great too; it's easy to get in/out multiple times per day without worrying about costs. Just one note - be aware that it can sometimes take quite a while for an elevator with space available to arrive, especially during times of the day when lots of people are trying to go in/out. Not the unit's fault, just the way the building was built. So just make sure to plan on some extra time when using the elevators. Overall, all was great!

There was a loud noice I am assuming it’s water lines. I loud vibrating sound every few minutes and 24hrs a day. It kept us up at night. I reached out to the manager who said they would have someone look it. I don’t believe anyone came out. On day 3 they said they had the part and would put it in. They never did. We slept one night on the pull out couch. Finally we left the tv on to try and drown it out. It was very frustrating.

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry for the noise inconvenience. It was hard to find the problem, and we had to order another part that came after your check out unfortunately.
