Das Haus ist etwa 1500 Quadratmeter groß, auf 10 Hektar Weiden und Wäldern. Sorgfältig für unsere Familie eingerichtet - einladend; scheint wie zu Hause. Astige Kiefernholzschränke mit Holz- und Teppichböden. Herrlich; privater blick auf die berge, (7700 höhe). Sehr ruhig und etwas abgelegen. Viele wild lebende Tiere: Wir sehen Elche, Hirsche und Truthähne auf dem Grundstück und haben Berglöwen gehört und Beweise von Bären gesehen. Während der Saison gibt es verschiedene Arten von Kolibris. Bringen Sie Ihre 4 Räder, Fahrräder, Skier, Pferde usw. mit: Weiden für Ihre Pferde und Reiten vor Ort. Im Winter gibt es ein nahe gelegenes Skigebiet (8 km). Eislaufen im Dorf; Schläuche und Rodelhügel auf dem Grundstück. Ruidoso und White Sands sind ca. 40 Meilen entfernt. Wanderkarten zum Wandern und Reiten in der Umgebung, einschließlich Karten des Lincoln National Forest, sind erhältlich. Restaurant und Einkaufsführer im Dorf (Cloudcroft, 7 Meilen entfernt). Golfplatz in der Lodge vorhanden, tolles Restaurant!
Allradfahrzeug ist im Winter ratsam!

Little Piece of Heaven!

We absolutely love staying here! It is perfectly located and we love the space for the kids to play and enjoy! We love getting to see all of the wildlife and enjoy the home feeling of the cabin! The Armstrong’s are great hosts and are always quick to respond! I recommend if you and your family or friends are looking for a get away l, this is the place to go!

Amazing cabin in an amazing location!!

This cabin is beautiful and the location is unmatched!! Watching the elk in the meadow every morning while drinking coffee was magical!! The kids loved the treehouse. They had a zip line but we opted not to use it. If you’re looking for a calm and magical place this is it. The only thing we had an issue with was the cleanliness of the cabin. There was hair all over the master bathroom, looked like someone had shaved their beard and never cleaned up after it. The sheets and bedding smelt odd so we washed them before bed and all was good. communication could have been a bit better. Asked the day we got there for the Wi-Fi information and never received a text back the 5 days we were there. I found it under the night stand in one of the smaller rooms on top of the modem. So if you book with them, that’s where it’s hiding aside from those two things it was perfection!! Would stay again in a heart beat!

Family getaway

This cabin was an excellent stay for our family of 7. The property was a cozy, lovely place with full amenities. The fridge and kitchen has a rotating pantry and staples fyi. The beds were comfy, the wood burning stove warmed the cabin perfectly, plenty of charming touches throughout. We did come in from ruidoso and gps took us through a very long unpaved route, good to know. Otherwise the home is a perfect getaway!

The Retreat lived up to the name

Wonderful night spent with family after mountain fun! Beautiful quaint cabin, amazing property with room to explore. Not far from Cloudcroft town and ski area. Will definitely look to book with this host for future visits.

Absolutely Amazing!

We stayed at this property to celebrate Thanksgiving with our son who works in Carlsbad. Coming from Colorado the location was gorgeous with all the amenities needed for a relaxing holiday. We were visited by turkeys, deer and elk during our stay and being able to have our dogs along was the reason behind using VRBO vs a hotel. Thanks to great communication with Rusty our trip was absolutely amazing.

Mountain Getaway

We love the location of this cabin and it is very cozy and comfortable. We were able to ride our side by side right from the cabin every day and enjoyed the view from the large glass window. Loved sitting on the porch every morning just looking at the scenery. We love staying at this cabin.

Relax family time

Beautiful home in the mountains

We came Cloudcroft to spread my MIL’s ashes on the 1 year anniversary of her passing. The whole family came up and everyone got their own place to stay. We were wanting to get together and have a cookout the night before and none of the other host would allow many people. I contacted our host and they said that would be fine. Our house was the favorite of everyone’s. We all went on a hike through the beautiful mountain woods. The kids played frisbee while hotdogs were being cooked and it was just an overall great experience and the hosts were amazing. The house was beautiful, clean, and so cozy. My favorite part was the big front porch with rocking chairs and the huge window in the living area looking out into the woods and being able to watch the many hummingbirds flying up to the feeder. I would definitely love to come back and stay here again.

The location is great. We liked the patio. The house needs a good cleaning, especially kitchen cabinet handles, and the floor. The kitchen cabinets need to be emptied from all the half full old condiments and food, same with the fridge. Icemaker didn't work. We couldn't find a barbecue or ping-pong table. Ping pong table is advertised in the details. Pool table is located below the house in the unfinished garage with low ceiling, the smell was moist. Bear fur on the wall and old leather sofa and cow chair in the living room is not everybodies style.

I had to add a night to our weekend stay and this cabin was available. It was easy to find - great directions. The cabin was nice and had all you would expect. One recommendation was I had a hard time finding how to connect to the WiFi - but I did eventually find it.

Home Away From Home

We loved the location ,view, deer, elk and birds. The front porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the cool mountain air !! We will go back !! Had our family over for playing games and meals. Great place for pot luck dinners !!

Cloudcroft cabin

We spent one night after attending a nearby wedding. The owner was flexible in allowing us to check in early to get ready. The place was very nice and extremely peaceful. We very much enjoyed our short stay.

We absolutely lovr staying here!!! Perfect location, plenty of room for the kids. Love front porch sitting and enjoying the room to walk around and just be out with no interruptions.

We have a horse farm in La Mesa, NM-about 100 miles from the cabin. Joe has been a beef cattle specialist and horse specialist with Auburn University, U. of Georgia, and New Mexico State University.
We are currently in the horse business, breeding, training, teaching, and boarding.
We also are on mission to help families be healthy through our Juice Plus business.
