Two bedroom one bath open living room and kitchen! Front porch with BBQ! Have a dog kennel with dog house also options to stable horses! Wide open space with amazing views! Also great chances at viewing wildlife from deer, elk, pheasants, ducks, geese, and lots of different fowl species depending on time of year. Located right across from a wildlife waterfowl management area!

The place was somewhat dirty and shabby. The decor was unattractive. We saw mice in the kitchen a few times. We made it work, but it was not especially pleasant. The location was pretty good and was fairly close to Capitol Reef. It was overpriced for what it was.

Private, convenient little home

We really enjoyed our stay and we’re happy with the views in the surrounding area. There were several amazing hikes nearby without even having to go into Capitol Reef. The house had all of the basics and was a comfy place to stay.

I enjoyed our stay, the only real complaint is the dogs that live next door kept coming over and they scared my young children and pooped right in front of the house. Would consider staying there again except for that.

Cozy and Clean House

It was just two of us and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect if you want somewhere quiet. The view is wonderful and it was perfect for watching the stars at night. The house was clean and well cared for, along with being well stocked. stocked with everything we needed.

Great place for a getaway

Our group of three adults and two dogs needed to get away for a few days and this was the perfect spot. We did some exploring and we stayed in some too. Our dogs loved the property and we loved the home, it had everything we needed and was nice and cozy. It was nice to be able to see all of the stars and the views during the day. We hope to stay again soon.

Disgusting

Pulled up to place (which is apparently for sale) shortly before check in time, patio furniture on front porch faded, dirty. Grill was not covered, grates were dirty and rusty. Weeds growing from kennel. Windows were dirty, which ruined what would have been a decent view from living room. Looks like it may have been vacant for an extended period of time. I took a look inside to see if it was ready, but bedding was still rolled up on the floor, so housekeeping had obviously not been there so we left and came back at 3:30. Dishes and pots/pans covered with minerals from hard water - no one bothered to wipe them off. gross buildup of minerals on faucets, toilet had not been cleaned. Beds were made (with what appeared to be same bedding rolled up on floor, but I did not inspect it until we were ready to go to bed at ~10:00 PM. We discovered sheets, comforters and pillow cases had numerous oil (?) stains, as if someone had gone to bed covered in oil. We tried to make a clean, usable set of bedding, but were unable to do so. Called owner, wh said "Oh, I'm really sorry that happened, but did not offer to have new bedding brought over, said there was nothing she could do that night. I told her we were leaving and wanted our money back. She said she would look into it in the morning with VRBO and see what they could do! I told her t was on her to make the refund. I called and sent numerous pics to VRBO and I am now awaiting a refund from the health and safety team.

Near Capitol Reef

We enjoyed our stay. The property is as described in the posting. It is located close to Capitol Reef. The closest grocery is about 10 miles so get what you need before arrival. There is a small store which has many things that is closer but is closing for the season soon

Excellent Location

We enjoyed staying at this cottage near Bicknell, UT. It was a great base for our explorations of Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase - Escalante area. We enjoyed the views from this location and the sunsets were fantastic. The cottage met all our needs during our stay.

Was a great landing spot in the middle of the places we were going to explore, Capitol Reef, Torrey for food, Boulder Mtn, Thousand Lake Mountain and Fish Lake area. Plus Loa has a good super market for supplies. The kitchen makes it nice to cook your own meals which can save a lot of money to not eat out until you want to.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful stay. This little cottage was perfect for us. The full-over-full bunk bed with trundle bed worked great, and the pull-out sofa was reported to be very comfortable when sleeping with their heads away from the kitchen area. The water heater was sufficient for three good showers before needing to reheat. We enjoyed the outdoor space, and the view at sunset was unbeatable. Danielle was very kind and helpful in her messages. We would definitely come back!

Nice visit

We stayed here to visit Capitol Reef Np. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean with comfortable beds. Loved the views and was nice watching the snow storm come thru during our visit. Host was very responsive and helpful

Great little house in close proximity to Capitol Reef National Park

This house was perfect for our needs. I stayed with my kids during a trip to Capitol Reef National Park. My older two stayed in the bunks and I stayed with my little one in the other room. The couch can also convert to a bed although I didn’t use it. It has a small but functional kitchen, full bath, and the living room was plenty big for all four of us to chill and watch TV in the evening. Highly recommend if you’re staying in the area.

Perfect Self-Sufficient Getaway

This was perfect for our needs. Well, it was probably larger than we needed for two people + dog, but cozy and comfortable. The house was clean and the kitchen was supplied with well-maintained pots and pans which allowed us to cook our own food. Exactly what we wanted. And, as others have mentioned, we were visited by the pups. The heeler won our hearts - a very good boy.
