Sie können Ihr kleines Boot oder Kajak direkt am Strand ins Wasser setzen und die Nebenflüsse erkunden, an denen Sie nicht nur die Ruhe einer wildnisähnlichen Landschaft finden, sondern auch viele Arten von Fischen und Krabben. The Iguana House was absolutely perfect. Beautiful view of the Bay where we enjoyed looking for shells, sea glass and pretty stones. The house was beautiful and the three bathrooms made it easy for everyone. The house is within 15 minutes to stores and restaurants which was perfect. We really enjoyed our time while staying in this home. We cannot thank Patrick enough for sharing his home with us. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Bowers beach getaway

I cannot say enough great things about our stay and the hosts! The house was clean and provided a lot of things you’d need for your stay. Patrick and Margo were quick to respond. The beach proximity was our favorite as we had little ones so packing up and taking things to the beach was so easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

A true hidden gem!

This property is beautiful, private, clean, the house is stocked with everything you will need. Outstanding views from the house! My husband and I were actually married there, Memorial Day weekend and we basically had the entire beach to ourselves, which amazed me considering the holiday! If you want privacy and tranquility this is a lovely place to stay! We can not wait to return! Ps. The owner Bob was so easy going👍🏻

Wonderful getaway!

We always enjoy our stays in South Bowers. This was our first time at the Iguana House and it did not disappoint. The house was clean, modern, and well appointed. The house was also more spacious than expected. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals (but bring your own pantry staples). Beds were comfortable. Nearby towns have everything you need, but are 20-30 minutes drive. So plan ahead if you don’t want to spend your time running errands. Overall a great experience and I would recommend the Iguana House!

Amazing!

If you are looking for the most relaxing vacation ever!- look no further. The Iguana House sits in a quiet little town with super helpful and friendly neighbors. After having a small emergency several of the neighbors stopped to help. The house itself is very spacious and clean. We loved having to decks to sit out on. Plenty of books and games to occupy us on a rainy day. We collected a ton of sea glass(my fav) and really cool shells. Thanks Cindy and Bob! Cant wait to come back again.

Better than Home!

We've had the pleasure of staying at South Bowers 5 times. It's becoming our home away from home. The home is beautifully appointed, clean and airy. The elevated tub in the master bath is to die for. Open the window and you can hear the water lapping at the shore. My grown kids loved the open floor plan and 2 decks. We went to the outlets in Rehobeth, mimi golf and you just cant miss Grotto's Pizza. The restaurant on Route 1 where you turn has fabulous seafood. Take out or just get fresh fish from their seafood case. We can't wait for trip #6.

Our 2023 yearly vacation

Everything was perfect. The house was clean well equiped with dishes and cookware. Shopping for groceries was with in a short distance of the house. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We rescued a couple of Horseshoe crabs by turining them right side up so they could get back in the water. The week went way to fast and it was sad to have to leave. Relaxation off the beaten path

This was a fantastic find for our family. We were looking for a beach vacation in the Delaware area but also did not want to fight the crowds. This was the perfect solution for us. The view off of the back deck was amazing. There are only a handful of other homes along this particular stretch of beach so there were no crowds at all. This made walking the beach very pleasant which we did every day. The house is clean and as advertised (actually the inside is even nicer and roomier than the pictures!) Patrick was very easy to work with and very quick to respond to a couple of questions we had during the week. There are a couple of good seafood restaurants nearby that we ate at; enjoying steamed crabs from Medings and a number of nice dishes from JP's on the Warf. I would not hesitate staying here again.

Wow! Rent this house!

I really had no idea what to expect as we've never rented a vacation home before. We had a wonderful week we had at this house. I am a neatnik and was so pleasantly surprised at how impeccably clean and well -maintained the house was. So serene and quiet, if you are looking to relax then this is the place to go. We enjoyed swimming at high tide, a bonfire at the beach, and looking for snails and hermit crabs at low tide. The only downside was the flies-not the owner's fault, that's just the way it is by the bay sometimes, so be sure to bring some bug repellent. The kitchen is stocked with any and every appliance and gadget you could ever need-in fact there are so many that there isn't much cabinet space for non-perishables. With a bunch of teenagers the food didn't last long though! Also, be sure to bring your electronic devices-we couldn't get a cell phone signal so had to rely on wifi to contact the outside world. A wonderful getway-I'd rent from Bob & Cindy again in heartbeat.

What at gem!

This house is amazing and South Bowers is a real gem! The pictures do not do this house justice as it is absolutely beautiful. We had dinner every night on the porch overlooking the beautiful views - we spent hours on the beach swimming with the kids and viewing the wildlife - turtles, skates, and even dolphins! At lowtide we could walk out and find great conch shells and other beauties the bay has to offer. The kids rode their bikes under the house while I cooked dinner and each night we walked up the street and didn't have to worry about any traffic. This was a real freedom for them! We had the beach to ourselves most days and on the days we shared it with our neighbors, we were greeted by the friendliest people! The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possible need and there are plenty of games for family fun. This is the perfect house for a family looking to spend quality time together. The owner was excellent to deal with and was very patient answering my long list of questions when I initionally inquired about the house. I cannot wait to go back to this peaceful place!

I must say our little Island is a very special place. Far enough away from the crowds of the ocean beachs but close enough for a day trip to take the kids to see the ocean and walk the boardwalk. When you return to the quiet life of South Bowers Island you can take a deep breath, sit on the decks, talk about the days adventures and watch a beautiful sunset over the Moores. Come, enjoy the quiet life, come to South Bowers Island.

super nice house with lots of things to do (books, games, puzzles, etc). kitchen has lots of items (open every drawer to find things!). definitely check the water bacteria levels as we couldn't swim the week we were there. Patrick was very communicative and super helpful. the rooms are clean and tidy. make sure to find the fly swatters to use during your visit! the grocery store is about a 15 minute ride away, and the town has mostly anything you'd need. there is a view of the bay at the back of the house and if the weather is nice enough, using the screens downstairs creates a wonderful breeze.

Well appointed home in a beautiful location on the Delaware Bay. This home had everything we needed! Ample space for our family. A couple suggestions for future renters:BUG SPRAY! Bring a couple bottles. Even on the days with a sea breeze, there are some hungry flies on the beach!Water shoes are a must! The beach is shelly and rocky. We found so many treasures but your feet will thank you if you wear water shoes!The deck furniture could use an upgrade. Only 2 of the seats on the front deck were usable. And the cushions on the back deck lounge chairs are falling apart. This did not stop us from enjoying gorgeous sunrises on the deck!We’re looking forward to returning to this beautiful home!
