The Prequ'Île (Lyon hyper-center) is only 20 minutes away by transports, as well as the famous Tête d'Or park. You'll be close to numerous adresses which will delight you : Le Coq et la Mule, Le Petit Ogre and Namaste restaurants, Pierre et Marcellin cheese shop, or the bar La Folle Horloge are only a few minutes away. You'll also be only 10 minutes away from the Part-Dieu train station.
