Absolutely amazing home, with awesome pool, and stunning views! Our family of 10 enjoyed a week on the Big Island making what I know will be lifelong memories, staying at this epic house. We had to stretch our budget to make it work but in the end it was worth every penny.

Pros: Modern home with a large family room and huge kitchen, lots of space for my family of 10 plus an infant. Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and well maintained! Lots of towels, comfortable beds and pillows. Kitchen was well stocked to cook and bbq. Backyard was spectacular! Lovely salt water pool. High light of the home is that you are right on the rocky edge of the ocean! If you want to sit on the deck and have a drink, listen to the waves crashing into the shore and watch some incredible sunsets, then this is the place for you!Cons: Some small insects inside the kitchen but this is typical for Hawaii. Owner is also replacing home A/C units. Minor issues did not take away from the fun we had staying here.Note: The owner and the onsite house manager were very responsive when we had a question or concern. Communication was great!

A wonderful property that our group of 9 really enjoyed. Host was great whenever we needed anything. Property was exactly as described. Nothing like watching the whales from the Lanai with a cup of coffee every morning. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful large modern house in gorgeous location. Has to be one of the best on Kona coast. Management also very attentive. Downside were a series of mechanical shortcomings with the house, which I would hope don’t exist at this price (Manager addressed what they could and very quickly) Also agree with previous reviews about not enough hot water capacity for 5 bedrooms. All that said, can’t replace these views and location for a family gathering. Loved it!

This very modern home is ideally located right on the ocean with the constant sound of ocean waves. House was clean and well-appointed. Modern technology was a bit tricky to figure out at first but we eventually figured it out. Beautiful home, would definitely stay again

A wonderful home and was clean and the pool was good. We spent a fair amount of time there. The modern lighting did not always seem to work but was still manageable. We were told there would be construction nearby and it was tolerable.

Absolutely perfect

This exquisite property accommodated three families which included six adults three children for 10 days. The location is an easy walk to Magic sands beach or a short drive to down town historic Kona. Perfect for family gathering the beautiful sunsets over the ocean were the perfect backdrop for a much needed vacation and priceless family time. Thank you for the best vacation we’ve had in many years.

Very good time

I am very satisfied with the location, the facilities, and the friendliness of the owner.The only thing was that the access code sent by the site operator was different from the WiFi password, so we had to contact the owner several times, but other than that we were able to spend a wonderful time just by ourselves. There is a supermarket nearby, so we were able to spend a comfortable time here, and we highly recommend this place.

Fantastic vacation rental

This is a beautiful home that is perfect for multigenerational family vacations. The views of the ocean from the lanai, kitchen, dining, and family room, and the master bath are incredible. The concierge for the home, Anne, was awesome! She picked up our grocery order from Safeway and delivered to the house before we arrived. She was available to text/call anytime we needed anything. There were 2 washer/dryer sets, one upstairs and one downstairs! Can't say enough good things about this rental! Loved it!

Beautiful home

This was a great home. Conveniently located. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. We had a family of 10 and it accommodated us beautifully. Terrific pool and the view off the deck was amazing. Our concierge (Anne) was wonderful. The hot water heater went out on our first day and she got it fixed in short order. Would highly recommend this!

Amazing Time in Kona

We had done an exhaustive search for a property that would allow all 10 of us to stay without tripping over one another.We felt confident that this property would fit the bill and it didn't disappoint. From the beautiful pool to the fact you are oceanside every possible thing you could want from a property like this delivers. Kona Family Vacation

We absolutely loved it! When you go to a house many times the amenities are slightly less than perfect. That was not the case with this home. Plenty of space to get away, and plenty of space for large gatherings. The pool and ocean side location Made for an enjoyable stay. Especially listening to the waved rolling in at night when laying in bed. The range of activities in the Kona area or excellent, and we even visited a shopping place called Coconut Grove… Considering more from Coconut Grove, Florida we felt like it was a home away from home. We would definitely recommend this home.

Property was simply amazing. Beautiful views. Enjoyed everything. Only 2 issues noted. 1) Could not locate the lights for pool. Could nit swim after it got dark. 2) Trash containers were full from prior family. Seemed the property was cleaned jn less than a day.

Regarding the two issues you note: 1) We have a local property manager (who greeted you at check-in) available to respond to any issues or questions with a quick text or call. We could have remedied the situation and had you swimming under the stars had we known you needed the lights on. 2) We supply two large garbage containers behind the garage for trash which is emptied once per week. I am sorry if the containers seemed full during your stay. We thank you again and hope that you will consider staying with us in the future!

60th birthday Friends get away

This was the perfect place for 4 couples to spend a relaxing week! Amazing house with all of the amenities we needed and beautiful views. We spent most of our time on the lanai- views and comfort were beyond what we expected. The host was amazing, even offering to stock starter groceries for us. If we needed anything, she or her husband responded right away. The house was spacious, each couple had ample privacy. The house is set up all on remote technology. While this was very modern and cool, sometimes a little hard to figure out for us Gen X and Boomers! Haha. Loved the entire stay and would rent again in a heart beat!

Great House!!

We stayed at this house for 10 days and the property is amazing. Been to Kona a dozen times and staying on the ocean was the first time. Favorite place is the Lanai watching the waves!!! The house is very high tech with the lights and blinds. For those not familar with Crestron, every button is programmed and can be confusing. Took about 2 days to learn the which buttons were what especially in the dark, but we managed it. The QR Code for the burners in kitchen was great and would be very beneficial to others to do a YouTube video on the lights and how to reset the buttons at the bottom of the switch panel if needed. The property managers were great and responded quick for any issues we had. Enjoyed our stay

The best one yet!

We had our family get together with our 4 adult children. This is a smart house, all electronic from lights, music, shades, you name it, this home had it. The views were amazing. Host was available to answer any question we had and over delivered on our expectations with taking care of us. She communicated with the owner and was able to get us a few perks which were very kind of them. Pool was solar heated and always warm as we had sunny days every day of our stay. They provide everything we needed for the beach. Of all the years we have been doing vacation rentals this one was the best. Totally amazing property and host. We will be back again for sure. Book this property you will have a once in a lifetime stay, better than any other just like we did.

This property was absolutely amazing! While the house was very technologically integrated, we were able to operate most household items without difficulty with the exception of range in the kitchen, and we therefore used outdoor gas cooktop on the grill, which worked fine. View, privacy, and outdoor pool couldn’t have been better. It felt like our private resort. There was undergoing construction on both neighboring houses which we were informed of prior to booking however, this was minimally noticeable. What truly stood out was the property manager’s willingness to help us during the tsunami evacuation. She and her family went above and beyond to ensure that we did not have to go to one of the local shelters for protection. One recommendation is to have lighting in the pool area by the lounge chairs. There is landscape lighting, inside pool lighting, and a motion spotlight for the stairs.

Troubles with neighboring construction sites

While the house kept what it promised it was annoying, that the construction work took place the whole week on both sites directly neighboring our house. Heavy machinery busy with excavations have been our daily "company" which was not very pleasant. Besides that, for somebody not permanently living in the house the smart home solutions / electrification was rather a pain than a blessing.

Luxurious Stay on the Kona Coast

We have been coming to the Big Island for years, but staying at this house was one of our best experiences. The fantastic setting on the Kona coast with beautiful sunsets from both lanai and the sound of soothing surf was so relaxing. The state of-art amenities, with generous refrigeration space, and luxury appointments in each bedroom suite are a tribute to the owner/architect’s flare for practical but luxurious design. The waterfall and walkway in the courtyard were unique; the sitting areas on the main floor and pool area were the family’s favorite. The short walk to the lava/coral coastline was a bit rough but worth the view. Located close to beaches, restaurants and shopping made everyone happy. The VRBO description and pictures were right-on. Most of all: Anne, the concierge, was most helpful and appreciated. She quickly responded to all our calls and questions and gave helpful instructions. The welcome centerpiece of Hawaiian fruits and snacks was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Thank you! To the owner, Kelly: Mahalo, Mahalo for letting us enjoy your wonderful house!

We chose this listing for our vacation due to modern design and air conditioning for the entire house. The house is beautiful, the host was fantastic, everything was clean, we appreciated the extended supplies (eg ziplock bags, laundry detergent, etc). When we arrived for check in, we found out that the AC was broken for the entire first floor (Ohana, one king suite, and kitchen/dining/living areas). Luckily the AC was “repaired” the following day, but it took two additional days for the king suite to come to a sleepable temp and the Ohana’s stopped working again. The AC was limited in all areas to only go down to 72F, which is only marginally colder than outside (70-80F daily). Even with this low bar, the AC was often not able to keep up. It seems that the AC system was poorly designed and does not meet the needs of the size of the house, even when it’s not summer time. We chose this house because it was large and all air conditioned so we would have privacy, but we ended up all huddled up in the same area of the house where it was coolest.The hot water was also a bit of a disappointment. It generally didn’t exceed 105F which I consider barely lukewarm. We mentioned this to the host and it was briefly hotter, but overall I think this system was also not properly designed for the size of the house. Hot water pressure would drop off dramatically if two fixtures were used at the same time, which really makes no sense considering this house has 5.5 bathrooms.
