Welcome to Clocking Out! We have everything you need to maximize beach time and enjoy all of the amenities Surf City has to offer. The perfect mix of comfort and convenience! PET FRIENDLY and full of charm, this 4BR, 2BA home has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the ocean air.

Head up to the front porch where you'll enjoy beautiful sunsets and a cool breeze.
As soon as you open the front door, you'll be greeted by an open concept living space, recently updated kitchen, lots of seating and breathtaking views of the ocean. Enjoy your coffee and the sunrise on the back, covered deck, while you listen to the waves crash and watch the dolphins splash in the gorgeous blue ocean.

Sheltered from the sun with additional seating, charcoal grill, corn hole and tons of space make the lower level the perfect place to relax and play after a perfect beach day. The full size washer/dryer are are available for you to use anytime. And you are welcome to use any of the beach gear like skim boards, boogie boards, discs for golf, beach chairs and fishing equipment.

The primary bedroom (queen) has a view of the ocean and a private en-suite with shower. Three guest bedrooms share access to the main bath. The large guest room has a queen size bed. The small bedroom has a twin day bed with twin pull out trundle. The bunk room has four twin beds. And if you need to spread out just a bit more, there is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The living room and every bedroom have smart TVs and the home has been updated to 800 mbps so internet access and streaming is seamless.

Heading to the beach? You are less than a minute from dipping your toes in the sand! Public access #2 will take you over the dune and onto a beautiful and wide stretch of pristine beach. Enjoy the awesome Surf City waves, wide beach, shore fishing and shell collecting. The house also has a full sized, covered, outdoor shower to rinse off when your beach day is done.

When you're not at the beach, please enjoy the books, board games and puzzles provided. This location is so close to everything! A public playground is two blocks away. The Surf City Pier is a gorgeous beach walk and just two miles away. The home is minutes from the Surf City town center shops. And you will be just a few blocks from local bars, restaurants and the arcade. Don't forget about golfing - there is a local public golf course, disc golf course and mini-golf nearby. SO much to do!

LINENS ARE INCLUDED! Bedding, bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes are provided. Kitchen linens and sponge will be waiting for you, but please remember to bring your own paper products and cleaning supplies.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway!

The very first thing you’ll notice is the cleanliness. Every thing sparkling clean, and smelling wonderful. Even though this rental is pet friendly, you would never know it. The best beach rental in the Topsail Island/Surf City area, with great ocean views, and the perfect location. Everything you need to have a memorable stay is here! Loved the well stocked and very organized kitchen. Labels make it easy to grab whatever you need, without searching, and pantry comes complete with all the various small appliances you will need. The thing we loved most was our wonderful host Katie. Friendly and a great communicator, she was there to answer all questions, and made us feel right at home. Our stay wasn’t long enough!!

This property was way more than we needed it had four bedrooms, but it allowed my son and his wife to bring their dog. The beach access is a short walk through the backyard. There was storage filled with everything you will need for the beach! Actually we needed for nothing but our food, it was nice to have a kitchen filled with good cookware, and appliances! The Host Katie was quick to reply to any questions we had . She even left us a welcome package and fresh bouquet which we appreciated, thank you! Would we stay again? YES I wish we didn’t have to leave!!

Perfect family beach house!

Highly recommended! Great location with a very short walk to the beach. The house has a great layout with plenty of room and spaces for everyone to relax. Outdoor spaces were great as well whether it be the front or back deck or under the house. The house was equipped with anything you need for a stay at the beach with family. If your a family that likes to cook, the kitchen has anything and everything you would need. A great time was had by all!

Clean, comfortable, and super close to the beach!

This house met all of our needs for the wee and more. The owner was wonderful to work with. She was very quick to respond and truly thinks of all of the small details. The house was clean when we arrived. It was so nice having linens provided! In addition, they have all of your beach needs covered- from chairs to boogie boards, etc. The outdoor shower was great! The guys found it was easier to shower outside to cut down on time after a long day at the beach. We loved having coffee on the back deck every morning - there was always a great breeze! The beach access does have stairs for those who have elderly travelers or those with specific needs. All of the beds were comfortable! In addition, the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed! The living room shelves were stocked with books and games. Great location - would definitely recommend!

Great location and beautiful renovated

Sitting on the porch you can see and hear the ocean. The beach access is very close and the beach is wide. Great boogie boarding during high tide and love the sandbar at low tide. We were impressed with how well the house was stocked with all the extra things you need like beach chairs, umbrella, toys, boards, soaps, plastic wrap etc. Every bed & furniture was comfortable. We had a few questions and the owner was incredibly fast and helpful. The house is in a great location, close to shopping and food. Definitely try out Shaka Taco and Topsail Steamer! This was a great fit for our 2 families of 4 (8 total people). Thank you!

We enjoyed a delightful stay at “Clocked Out”.There was plenty of space for all to relax comfortably.The location was great with a very short walk and easy access to the beach and a nice view of the ocean from the back porch and bedroom.Our sweet doggies are family and were so happy to stay with us! …a deciding factor for booking for us. The outdoor shower with hot water was definitely a plus. The cleaning crew could have been a bit more thorough, but nothing we couldn’t remedy fairly quickly ourselves. A mirror in each of the middle bedrooms would be nice. We will definitely consider coming back and highly recommend it.

A house built for relaxation

Our vacation wouldn't have been complete without having a beautiful house to stay in near the beach, and we were not disappointed. Amazing countertops, spacious rooms, quiet and friendly neighbors, and a washer/dryer made everything feel perfect. The fishing poles and boogey boards in the storage room was the icing on the cake. Before finding Clocking Out, we had been renting in Surf City and Topsail for over 10 years. Every year, my PA family would join our NC family to take a break from real life and enjoy the salt air. We would “clock out” from work and head to the shore for a week of boogie boarding, trying to surf and shore fishing. Because we’ve seen just about every example of a rental property at the beach, it is important for us to give guests everything they’ll need for a great stay. We have filled our home with everything we need for a great family beach vacation, girls weekend or golfing trip with the guys, Convenience of location, thoughtful design of space/amenities and cleanliness are important to us. We hope you will love being here as much as we do. We are so happy to share our home with you!

This home has so much character and the perfect spaces to spread out. The waves are awesome for boogie boarding. When you're on the beach, you can see the pier to the south and all the way to the tip of North Topsail to the North. Surf City restaurants are delicious and there is a huge variety to chose from. Being able to see the ocean, hear the waves and watch the dolphins from the back deck are some of our favorite things.

Ocean views, open spaces and lots of sleeping options make this house perfect for vacations. You can walk to restaurants and bars, rent bikes and explore the island. The tall bridge has amazing views and a pedestrian walkway. The Topsail market is a great place to enjoy local artisans and treats. And don't forget about the turtles. We've been lucky to watch a new nest get eggs counted and protected. The Turtle Hospital and Missiles and More Museum are a definite must see.
