Welcome to our Hillside Cottage at La Casa Resort! Enjoy stunning 180° Lake Okanagan views, 3 king-size memory foam beds, modern living, a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, BBQ, fire pits, hammocks and a family-friendly backyard.

Looking for a quieter Okanagan escape? The off-season is a beautiful time to visit, with peaceful lake views, hiking, wine tasting, cozy evenings and fewer crowds. The cottage is open year-round, even when some resort amenities are seasonal.

*The space

Our cottage has an open-concept main floor with a comfortable living room, fully equipped kitchen, king bedroom and full bathroom with both a tub and shower.

Downstairs you'll find another king bedroom, a separate living area with a 65" Smart TV, pull-out couch and board/card games — a great space for kids to hang out.

The loft has a king-size bed and is accessed by ladder only. Please see the listing photos.

Enjoy two outdoor areas with beautiful lake views, BBQ, outdoor dining, hammocks, comfortable seating and propane fire pits. The backyard features artificial turf with space for kids and outdoor games.

*La Casa Resort

Guests have access to many of La Casa's resort amenities, including 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, mini golf, playgrounds, tennis, pickleball, volleyball, a private beach, waterfront fire pits, boat launch and hiking trails.

The upper pool and hot tub are within walking distance of the cottage.

We also provide 4 pickleball paddles + ball and 4 mini golf clubs + balls.Additional equipment can be rented at La Casa Market.

*Food & Dining

La Casa Market & Kitchen is located within the resort and offers groceries, coffee, ice cream, take & bake items and a full restaurant.

We recommend bringing most of your groceries with you, as the market has limited stock. Full grocery stores are approximately 40–50 minutes away, and Save-On-Foods in West Kelowna also offers grocery delivery to the cottage.

*Explore the Okanagan

Fintry Provincial Park is just 10 minutes away, with Kelowna and Vernon approximately 40 minutes away. Enjoy nearby wineries, hiking, beaches, golf, boating and local restaurants.

Other things to note
La Casa is a seasonal resort, so some amenities are limited or unavailable during the off-season. The cottage itself is open year-round and is a wonderful home base for enjoying a quieter Okanagan getaway. Resort schedules may change, so please confirm current availability with us upon booking.

A vehicle is highly recommended. Our cottage is at the top of the hill, approximately 7 minutes from the beach. Golf carts are available to rent. Golf carts can be rented through Sandbagger Golf Carts, subject to availability.

La Casa's private beach is rocky, so water shoes are recommended.

House rules: No parties, smoking, pets or unauthorized guests. All visitors must be approved in advance. Outdoor security cameras are located around the property.

Maximum occupancy: 8 people, including children and infants. This rule is strictly enforced.

Gorgeous home!

We had a lovely time staying in this beautiful home. The house itself is gorgeous, and the view of the lake from the large deck is stunning. Some good trails behind the home, and beaches within a short driving distance. Amy was excellent to interact with.

Vacation Perfection

Communication with Amy was quick and efficient. We chose this house for our first family vacation in many years! The house was exactly as portrayed, with incredibly gorgeous views, great kitchen (we are a family of “foodies”), plenty of room to share among 5 adults. Welcome packet with clear instructions AND a nice bottle of Pinot Gricio. We would love to return next year. It was a week to remember. Thank you, Amy!

The views at Hillside Cottage are amazing! This was a family vacation with my Spouse, parents, sibling and her family. As soon as we entered the gate we saw the pool to the right and then the spectacular view of the Okanagan to the left. The parking fit 2 trucks comfortably and one golf cart. The Cottage is beautiful inside and out. There was enough room for everyone and perfect for my parents having their bedroom and bath on the main level, no stairs to climb for them. All the necessities were in the kitchen, I would recommend a couple more tea towels and a drying rack as we mostly washed our dishes. The layout is well thought out with lots of accent lighting. Sitting on the decks were heaven. There were the occasional wasp but the bug zapper worked perfectly. The bathrooms were thoughtfully laid out.The neighbours to both sides were very friendly and the cottages are laid out for privacy. We were surprised at how quiet it was considering there were so many people at the resort. The kids had a great time in the pool and so did we as it is heated. My brother has a cottage at La Casa and we were able to experience the Okanagan on the water, which was spectacular. Thank you Daina for answering all our questions prior and during our trip promptly. We all had a fabulous time in your beautiful cottage and made so many great memories as a family

Do not recommend

Nearly impossible to get around without a car (we flew from Toronto) and resort staff was very unhelpful. Luckily one gentleman helped get our things to the unit otherwise impossible. Nearest grocery store etc. at least 25 minutes away. You have to drive everywhere around the resort. There were gross human hairs on windowsills and baseboards around the unit, particularly on the living room windows looking out to the lake. Location of garbage and recycling is a mile down the resort and a real pain. Be sure to bring your own garbage and recycling bags with you; we were only supplied with one garbage bag for five days. Lawn is all sharp rocks - be careful with kids. The kicker was we have received an invoice from the owners for $630 for cheap rubber treads coming off the loft ladder - all the rubber treads came off. Before our stay one of the treads had already come off and had to be glued down again. When we first arrived at the house the cleaners were tying to glue and tape it with masking tape. Very cheap design, dangerous for kids (cleaners mentioned to us at checkout how dangerous they think it is) and owners are trying to make us pay for their cheap mistake. You're paying for three bedrooms and it's really more of a one bedroom - loft is not designed for adults unless you're tiny and in good shape. Downstairs bedroom is dark and gloomy.

This guest broke many of our house rules and we had to use their deposit to pay for damage caused to our home. They had 15-20 people gathering several nights in a row, trashed the entire house (stains on furniture and handprints on the walls), and stayed over an hour past checkout which forced our cleaners to ask them to leave. It seems like they did not read our welcome messages or guidebook which stated the need for a car to get around, and that the nearest grocery store is nearly 30 minutes away. This guest had forcefully ripped off all the rubber treads on our loft ladder. We can understand one or two becoming loose with wear and tear over time, but the fact that almost every single one (10 total) was ripped up during one stay was what required us to use their damage deposit. We would not host this guest again. They simply posted this retaliatory review because they had to pay for the consequences of their actions.

Wonderful vacation property

This is our third year in a row at LaCasa and this was definitely the best unit we have stayed at. The view from both outdoor spaces is incredible and we loved being at the upper pool as it’s not as busy. The home itself is exactly as described. 180 Degree sensation

From sunrise to the full moon over the lake, the view was amazing. The cottage was as advertised, clean, well laid out and full of amenities. Friendly neighbors and the owners maintained the right amount of contact and cared that we found thier place as amazing as they do.

You pay for what you get. That’s all I can say. Condo was amazing. They huge patio with the most amazing views was worth the money alone. Owners were awesome and responsive. Looking forward to staying there next year!!

Great views of the Lake

Clean new place with great views of the lake. Great patio for Relaxing or enjoying lunch/ dinner overlooking the lake. Comfortable and comfy furnishings inside the cottage. Great amenities within the resort. Very family oriented and a lot of activities such as mini golf, private beach and 2 swimming pools. Bring all groceries with you as the Cottage is about 30 minutes drive from town as the small corner store does not have much to offer. The Internet/ wifi is spotty in the area result the TV and heating/cooling system not responding/ working for hours before it’s back on.

Great Property Great Host

Paradise

We are a family of 6 and the property was perfect. It had everything we needed. The Sonos system was a nice touch. The balcony was huge with a lounging couch, fire table , large dining table and the view was spectacular. Amy was great and easy to deal with. I would definitely rent this property again.

Awesome property on all fronts!

We are a family of 4 with two teenage daughters and this was an awesome experience! The cottage is perfectly set up with two identical suites on two levels and a truly outstanding view that we enjoyed immensely. Property was super clean and had everything we needed. Owners were super responsive and you can tell they love their place. Worth paying for the view in our opinion! Note that location of Fintry is a bit far away so be sure to get all groceries in Kelowna. As owner noted convenience store on site isn’t well stocked. Note that walk to lake is ok on way down...hard on way up. If you have gear best to drive! As owner noted there are random checks on amenities passes so make sure you have it on you when you use amenities. All in all awesome vacation spot to relax and spend time with family - property has many extras that were much enjoyed such as fire table overlooking lake, hammocks, Sonos sound system and beautiful lighting throughout which made lake experience even nicer! Kudos to Amy and Randy for all their attention to detail!
