Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at the Cabana Cornelia. The house was clean, comfortable and had all the ammenities we needed to call it our home away from home for this trip. The short walk to the beach was also a plus! Most days were spent there riding the waves, collecting seashells, and sunbathing, . Then we would return to take an outdoor shower, eat , and relax in the living space in the cool a/c, read on the porch in the rocking chairs or swing, or return to the beach to watch the sunset. We did get ice cream at the Saltwater Shanty, stopped at Food Lion grocery store and a souvenir shop which were all within a 5 minute drive just outside of Holden Beach one afternoon. We also drove down to Myrtle Beach for a day which was only an hour drive. The host was very friendly and responsive as well! We made many memories on our first trip to Holden Beach and would stay here again if and when we return!

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! We’re so happy your family had such a wonderful first trip to Holden Beach and that Cabana Cornelia could be your home away from home. I love that you made the most of the beach days, outdoor shower, porch rocking chairs, and those Holden Beach sunsets; that’s exactly the kind of slow, easy beach time we hope our guests get to enjoy. It was truly a pleasure hosting your family, and we’d absolutely love to have you back at the Cabana whenever you return!

This was a great price for a short walk to the beach, however cleanliness was not as we expected. We appreciated the short walk to the beach, the front porch rockers/swing, and quiet street. Overall the house was relatively clean, however the floors of the home immediately turned our bare feet dirty, bathroom shower curtain was moldy, and refrigerators both had fishy smell that was strong enough to affect our groceries. Upstairs fridge did not appear to keep a cool enough temperature (per the thermometer) and the pipes for heating caused a loud clanking sound in master bedroom. We did not contact the hosts about any of this during our stay, however I'm sure they will be able to remedy this as they were very kind and communicative prior to our stay.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for highlighting what you enjoyed about the home; especially the location, front porch, and quiet street. We’re so glad those elements added to your stay. We’re truly sorry to hear that certain aspects of cleanliness and maintenance did not meet expectations. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and we take your feedback seriously. Since your stay, we have addressed the concerns you mentioned, including a deep clean of floors, replacing the shower curtain, and servicing both refrigerators to ensure proper function and eliminate any odors. The loud noise you’re referring to is the hvac. It knocks occasionally when the temps drastically change. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can quickly make things right in real time, but we completely understand that sometimes that’s not convenient. We appreciate your kind note about our communication and truly value your feedback. It helps us continue to improve for future guests. Warmly, Brooke

Excellent all around

We had the best time at Holden Beach! Can’t say enough good things about our stay — the house was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a fresh aesthetic and many comforts of home (Especially traveling with kids). The location is excellent — 5 minutes to the beach, and a nice family stroll to a playground, coffee shop, and ice cream shop. Brooke was so friendly and communicative through the process. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful place! Great location.

This property was wonderful for our family of 5. It was extremely clean and the decor had such a great vibe. We hope to return to this home again. My parents had a place at Holden Beach when I was a kid, so we were very familiar with the area. This location is perfect in proximity to restaurants, the beach and the boat ramp. We brought our boat and 2 large vehicles. There was plenty of parking. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.

Our family of 6 had a great visit! The house was spotless & exactly as pictured. Kitchen was well stocked and everything functional. The kids never complained about the walk to the beach so you know it was short & easy! Grocery store, shops, and restaurants were all close by. The owners were super responsive & helpful. If a beach vacation is in the cards for next summer- we will 100% return!

Beach trip 2021

We had a great time at Holden. Great family place to be. The home was very clean and has easy access to the beach. Only thing we had issues with was we went in July and the home could not cool down. The unit is to small to keep up with A/C during the dead heat of summer. Overall a good trip tho.

Wonderful Week

This property is very comfortable, great beds and linens, amazing outdoor shower, quick walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood, porch swing where we enjoyed a delightful breeze while reading. We didn't use the first floor. With all the rain this spring it was damp and musty. We probably wouldn't have used it anyway - we were 4 55 friends on our annual trip to Holden Beach. The basement would be great for kids to watch TV, play Ping-Pong, and hang out.

Happy in Holden

We rented this cozy beach bungalow for a week. My husband, myself and our two adult sons shared the house. There was plenty of room for everyone and the bathroom between the boys rooms was perfect for them to share. The owners have shown much attention to detail when renovating this house. It is cozy, comfortable and has everything you need for a terrific stay. Although we did not prepare meals in this house (the rest our family was in a another rental where we gathered for meals or went out to restaurants) the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. We enjoyed cups of coffee and tea on the porch. In the morning and evening you can hear the waves crashing the sand. Such a nice place to sit back relax and take it all in.

Cute Holden Beach House

The house was very nice and overall was what we were hoping for. It was homey and comfortable for 5 adults! The rental is for the whole house so there was no worries about shared walls or disturbing others with late night games and quiet music. The location and access to the beach was great and the outdoor shower was a big bonus for after the beach and more. Just a little heads up, I’m sure it was in the description when we booked but I was caught off guard by the need to bring our own linens and towels, but understand that is becoming the norm. We had to do a little scrambling but it ended up okay. The HVAC unit is located just outside the master bedroom window and it had a bit of a squeak but the provided sound machine helped to mask the noise. This was our very first NC beach trip ever and we would definitely enjoyed Holden Beach and the house!

We are a family who loves to travel and spend time at the beach. We have four kids and live in Brooklyn.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We love spaces that feel cozy, clean, bright and airy. I love design and including my passion for aesthetics into the space.
This home is equipped with toys, games and books for kids of all ages. The outside has ample space for playing and relaxing while not on the beach. The front porch has rocking chairs and is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

The outdoor shower is lovely and private. You can hear the birds and crickets while you shower off.
Holden beach is unique because it’s quaint and beautiful; perfect for families looking for low key relaxation.
