Lovely stay in Kittery Point
My wife and two pre-teen children stayed for a week in August and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The place is essentially a guest house part of a larger estate, but separated from the main home and all neighbors for plenty of privacy. There is a large grassy area in front that was perfect for our kids to play catch, Frisbee and kick a soccer ball around in. A private driveway for easy parking, and easy access to laundry that's downstairs from the unit (minimizing the noise) round out the perks. The inside is laid out pretty much as the pictures show. The kitchen is very nice--just right for eating with two kids. The bathroom is also nice, with excellent weather pressure in the shower and plenty of towels.
The place was clean and reasonably well appointed when we arrived. There's enough closet and drawer space in both bedrooms to comfortably stash a week's worth of clothing.
The only recommendations are fairly minor, and not ones that caused any concerns on our part, but would be nice additions. There could be a few more plates and kitchen equipment in the event one wants to do some more elaborate cooking, but it worked very well for the breakfasts and lunches we made for the 4 of us. There's a wrap around deck, and the side portion is wide enough to hang out on. Having a few deck chairs and a small table that could be used on that portion of the deck in the driveway / yard area would be nice to have. We had our own folding beach chairs that did the trick, so it wasn't a big deal for us.
The location in Kittery Point is quite nice. while not directly on the water, or walkable to any attractions it's very short ride to route 1 shops, Kittery Foreside shops, local beaches, York, and Portsmouth.
It'll be on our list of places to stay when we visit the area again next year.
