Searenity Cottage begins with a magical, twisty drive down its own entrance and opens up to a wondrous, open view of ocean and sky. The cottage with all its windows makes me feel like I’m still part of the ocean view. I can see water from every room, wake up to the sunrise and see the stars at night. We had everything we could imagine to make our stay blissfully easy, comfortable and tranquil. We even had a lobster cooker and pot to cook our live lobster outside and wood available for a campfire in the fire ring on the water. Loved the chairs at water’s edge to look at the expanse of beauty and watch the lobster boats creep through the early morning fog. The large deck with table, umbrella and chairs is a great place to start the day, looking at seals while having coffee. It was a magnificent place to unwind and embrace the beauty of Maine. The host was very friendly and helpful about answering questions and communication about our stay. Most questions were already written in the folder left on the table along with great suggestions for numerous outings, restaurants and supplies. Thank you for a beautifully magical place to celebrate my birthday!

Relaxing and comfortable stay!

What a wonderful place to stay and explore Downeast Maine! Kristopher was great with communication, the house was clean and had all we needed…and the views were spectacular…from the morning sunrises, wildlife, and watching the lobster boats leave and come back every day. The week gave us time to unwind and relax and explore the area and even Campobello Island in Canada. Highly recommend!

Searenity is heaven on earth!!

If peace, quiet and solitude is your desire then Searenity can’t be beat!! Extremely clean and very well appointed. You lacked for nothing (except WIFI) - but in some ways that was a plus.

The location of the cottage is spectacular! Lots of grass area to play overlooking the ocean. View from every room of the ocean. House was set up great for a family with the main living area and kitchen in the middle of the two bedrooms. Quick communication from Kristopher on questions we had. Overall, would definitely stay here again to visit our friends in Jonesport.

Unforgettable getaway! Unforgettable view!

This accommodation was the ideal home-base for our week in downeast Maine. The cottage was beautifully maintained and stocked with everything we could possibly need. My family and I loved the unmatched coastal views and the small town charm of Jonesport. Can’t recommend this rental highly enough if you are looking to relax and unwind away from crowds of tourists. Watching the lobster boats sail past and hearing the cries of the seagulls was pure bliss.

The perfect getaway!

This place is amazing! Kristopher is so responsive and kind. The house is immaculate. You can tell he takes great pride in this property. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, bakeware. The lobster cooker outside is awesome. The view.. the seals… the bald eagles.. just incredible. We can’t wait to come back!

Simply Amazing!

One of the best VRBO experiences we have had, and my family have stayed at 20+ properties all over the country. The owner Kristopher was incredibly kind and communicative. The house was very clean and fully stocked. Had everything we needed to steam our lobsters which were only $6 per pound from the dock right down the road called Look Lobster. Of course the best part is the view. Simply amazing!

Wonderful cottage - fabulous views

Our stay at Searenity Cottage was perfect. As others have mentioned is was immaculately clean and well fitted out. The views were fabulous and even on cloudy, foggy days there was a comforting feeling that inspired one to read, nap, or do a bit of sightseeing. Kristopher was cheery and helpful even though we never had the chance to meet him face to face. Sadly we had to leave a few days earlier than expected due to a doggie emergency back home but we will be sure to come back. We left rested and restored.

Amazing view- great rest opportunity

Property was really clean, and amenities were as expected. The view of the harbor and feeling of seclusion was what really made this trip restful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. A note to future guests- plan to bring groceries from a larger town- Manaford's Grocery looked like it was trying hard to go out of business, but just couldn't. Lol. And for sure go to Look's Lobsters and buy fresh lobster to cook in boiling pot at the house. It was awesome, and the people there were really friendly! Kristopher was really responsive and helpful. Perfection - do not hesitate

Kristopher was great to communicate with for weeks before arrival. Upon arrival, he was just headed out from the property. Very friendly, kind, helpful. The house is immaculate. Great space for a retreat from our busy lives. The view cannot be put into words GORG. I would move in every summer if I could! The fog stayed with us for days, so we made day trips to local state parks and lighthouses. Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your property!

Great Property and Host

We had a great vacation at Kristopher's cottage, it was absolutely as described and exceeded our expectations. The cottage was very clean and well maintained, so much so that we thought the exquisite wood work on walls, ceiling and floor were recent upgrades. Situated near the start of Chandler's Bay, the secluded property offers privacy and stunning views of the ocean. The sounds of the ocean waves, birds, and occasional lobster boats were very relaxing. During low tide, we had the fortune of seeing seals on the small rocky islands situated directly in front of the cottage shore line. Kristopher is an ideal host. Whether communicating through VRBO, email, text or phone, his replies were always prompt and helpful. He is kind, easy to talk to, and truly cares about your experience. During our booking months earlier, we mentioned we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary. Kristopher made our check in special by surprising us with a personalized Anniversary card, surrounded by rose petals and candy. We would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends!

What a great place! The home is certainly smaller, but very comfortable. It was clean, organized and had everything we needed. Overall, the house was great. The family all thought it was the fastest they had felt comfortable and “at home” out of any rental property we’ve ever stayed at. Although we understood there was no Internet service since it was not listed, it should be noted cell service (we are on Verizon) is not great. So if you’re looking to work while you’re there, just understand it’s slow going! Outside, the yard is very spacious for activities, but if you are just looking to relax in front of the ocean, this is the place. The beach area is very private. You cannot see another house from the property. When we were at the there, we did not see a single person unless they were on a boat! As we explored the area, the people were extremely friendly. Food was really good at Stewart’s and Jonesport Pizza.There really wasn’t a need for much communication with Kristopher as everything was pretty clearly explained. The communication we did have was positive. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. We plan on staying there again.

The best girls trip

We booked Kristopher’s cottage for a ladies trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The cottage was VERY clean and well-stocked with extra toiletries, towels, bedding and supplies. The kitchen had all of the utensils we needed with plenty of plates, cups, cookware, etc. We grilled one night with some meats and veggies from one of the nearby grocers. The shed was stocked with all the firewood we needed for a couple of nights out at the fire pit by the water. All of the deck equipment was clean and in working order. There is only a very small television, but it wasn’t needed as we entertained ourselves with board games on the deck and picnics on the lawn. The beds were very comfortable. For our group, the two rooms were set with one king or queen bed and two twins in the other. We didn’t realize until later that the twins were trundle beds and could be made into doubles but it was irrelevant for us. Plenty of window coverage in the bedrooms but none in the main area facing the water, but that allowed us to catch the uninterrupted sun and moon rises. For our stay it was near silent, save for a few crickets and a buoy bell dinging quietly in the distance. The sunrise was unmatched. I loved waking up early for some coffee on the deck while it peeked over the water. The moonrise as well. We enjoyed watching it from our evening fire pit wind-downs. Kristopher was very communicative and a great host. We hope to be back one day!
