500 ft from beach! Vintage & charming OBX cottage "The Cozy Duck" 4 bd/2 ba

Welcome to "The Cozy Duck OBX", a secluded 4 bedroom 2 bath cottage in beautiful Duck surrounded by live oaks and with a ground floor outdoor shower. Wake up early and walk 500 feet straight to a direct private street beach access (only for residents and guests on this street; there is no public access) to enjoy that amazing sunrise over the ocean. Downtown Duck is less than 1 mile away, making for a quick walk or bike ride to the famous Duck Donuts, outstanding restaurants, excellent boutique shops, and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the boardwalk on the sound.

Once you enter the house you will instantly be transported to vintage OBX with the rustic charm of beautiful knotty pine paneling. The living, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are all on one level with a bonus loft upstairs. There is a TV with Roku in the living room as well as in the loft area (where there are an assortment of boardgames and children's toys). There are plenty of restaurants in Duck if you wish to avoid cooking entirely during your stay, but the kitchen is stocked for your culinary activities including pots, pans, baking sheets, flatware, glasses, a toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker (bring your k-cups or ground) and dishes. We also have 500 mbps wireless internet to keep everyone connected to school or work.

Our home offers 1 queen bed (firm), 1 full bed (soft), 2 twins and 2 sets of bunks. All updated mattresses, quilts, and linens! It is best suited for small families or groups, but our beds offer flexible sleeping arrangements. Please note the top bunks are for young children only and not adult use.

Enjoy some peace and quiet on the top deck or chill out in the shade in the porch on the main level. In the front driveway is a basketball hoop and plenty of greenspace for tossing around a football. We do have two Weber charcoal kettle grills and picnic table available as well.

We love our dog and welcome your dogs too (pet fee extra of $150). Sorry, no kitties or any other animals since our children are highly allergic to felines. We do limit to a maximum of 2 well behaved pups and ask that you try to keep them off the beds and furniture. We want our guests to enjoy the lawn, so please also scoop the poop!

Duck is one of the best dog friendly beach towns in OBX. Dogs are even allowed unleashed on the beach year-round in Duck.

This home is strictly for NONSMOKERS (vaping is also not permitted). Up to $500 fines to pay for ozone cleaning.

There is also a washer and dryer on the ground floor. We also provide a beach buggy, a tent, a shade umbrella and an assortment of beach chairs.
