La Vallée de Ventron

We are offering this charming duplex flat for rent in the village of Ventron, set within a Vosges farmhouse. It measures 105 m² and can accommodate up to 8 guests. With level access, it comprises a lovely 25 m² living room (with a wood-burning stove), a fully fitted kitchen, three spacious bedrooms, two shower rooms, two toilets, and a garden of around 100 m². Wi-Fi is included – we’re just waiting for you!

The accommodation is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
- A 25 m² living room with a TV, a wood-burning stove (wood not provided), a double sofa bed and a dining area.
- A fully fitted kitchen including: electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, filter coffee machine…
- Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160×200).
- A shower room.
- Separate toilet
Upstairs:
- Bedroom 2: a queen-size bed (160×200) and bunk beds.
- Bedroom 3: one queen-size bed (160×200) and a double sofa bed
- A bathroom with shower and toilet

For even greater comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional facilities: barbecue, high chair, washing machine, cot, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron.

Outdoors:
- A terrace and garden of approximately 100 m² with furniture (sun loungers are available for a nap, and you can round off the day with a game of pétanque or mölkky) to make the most of sunny days. One corner of the garden has been converted into a pétanque court, and you can also share a small herb garden.

The gîte is ideally situated in Ventron, in a very pleasant and peaceful setting on a Vosges farm with no immediate neighbours, offering unobstructed views over the valley. You’ll find all the essential shops nearby in the village and in the village of Cornimont, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and a market…

Activities:
Nestled in the heart of the Vosges Mountains within the Hautes-Vosges Regional Nature Park, on the edge of Alsace, in a lush, green setting where the forest is ever-present.
- Tourist attractions: Lake Gérardmer, the Hohneck (offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Vosges from its summit), Colmar (the ‘Little Venice of Alsace’), Kaysersberg (a superb village on the Wine Route)...
- Sporting activities: hiking, cycling and mountain biking starting from the gîte. In winter, the ‘Frère Joseph’ ski resort, also known as ‘Les Pistes de Ventron’...
- Cultural visits: a tour of a copper mine, a tour of the vineyards with wine tasting...
- Events: Gérardmer Film Festival, the Daffodil Festival...

Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park for free near the gîte.

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful:
- Nearest railway station: Kruth station, approximately 15 minutes’ drive away.
- Nearest airport: Strasbourg Airport, approximately 1 hour 58 minutes’ drive away.

- One pet is allowed free of charge in the accommodation; please specify this when booking.
- Bed linen and towels are not included but can be provided on request at an additional cost (to be arranged and paid for with our partner on site).
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. Please leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
- The wood-burning stove is in working order; wood is not provided
