From November 1- April 15 please be aware that the Utah Department of Transportation and Town of Brighton rules about canyon travel require snow tires (3PMSF) or chains to make it safely up the canyon and to the home. Snow plowing is provided by Solitude and is intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over snow plowing. Please plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 1 vehicle.

We had a great stay here! Would recommend! We are a family of 4. Walking distance to the lifts was amazing. Good selection of food. Hot tubs and heated pool, with sauna in the locker room. Kids game room. We never had to drive anywhere. Would stay again!

We'd never been and found the Powderhorn Suite online and are very glad we did. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day on the mountain and was so convenient to get to the lift each day. Having a kitchen so we could make breakfast and dinner was a must and this gave us everything we needed. We enjoyed walking to get pizza one night after some apres at the Thirsty Squirrel. The check in and check out were very easy and well communicated. We will definitely be back.

The bedding was 2 star quality. Pillows were 1 star quality. Big issue for us.The lockbox code we were given didn't work. Had to text back and forth with host. Only two room keys, we had 4!people which created another inconvenience.

Wonderful holiday stay

We had a wonderful stay here during our Christmas snowboarding trip. The property is well-kept and exactly as pictured -- cozy, clean and perfectly located! Perfect mountain getaway!

Condo location could not be beat, very convenient with parking and walkable to restaurants and lifts—so happy to avoid all the traffic heading into the canyon! Condo was very clean, cozy, perfect for our family of 5, with great amenities! Club solitude kids activities were daily, fun game room and nice gym if needed. Overall one of our favorite ski trips!

Perfect Location for Solitude and Brighton

The Powderhorn Lodge unit was perfect for our group of 5 for visiting Solitude and Brighton. Short walk to the lifts at Solitude and the couple of restaurants and short drive to Brighton. The unit itself was pretty spacious and the kitchen was stocked with cookware. Multiple hot tubs and a sauna was a bonus. No issues with parking or anything else. Would stay here again.

A European-style getaway in Cottonwood Canyon

Solitude is a European-style, village resort. The condo offers all the amenities you need: (in building parking, ski locker, pool and hot tub, kitchen). You can walk less than 100 yards and you are on the lift. Also, you are a short drive to Brighton, and only about 35 minutes to Alta or Snowboard. We skied Solitude, Alta and Snowbird!

Solitude is divided into two areas from which to begin your winter or summer mountain adventures—the lower Moonbeam area and the larger Village base area where the condo is located.  Powderhorn Lodge is inside the gates of Solitude Village, closer to the Apex lift than the shuttle drop-off. The Apex Express chairlift is a two-minute walk, just 500 feet from the lodge, providing VERY convenient ski access!

Coming back from a day of exploring the mountains?  Winter or summer, you can look forward to the enjoyment of coming back to Basecamp and making a delicious dinner in the spacious, modernly appointed kitchen, hanging out in front of the large fireplace in the great room and watching a movie with family and friends, playing a game of pool in the game room, or taking a relaxing soak in the large hot tub on the back patio before taking a well-deserved rest in one of the gorgeously updated bedrooms.  The entire home exudes warmth, luxury, and comfort that will have you dreaming of coming back every year!
