Very disappointing. Because we arrived in the dark there was no visible address number nor did we know it was a duplex. The toilet overflowed and became unusable the morning after our arrival. We had to go to a close by hotel to use their bathrooms. The bathroom was undesirable so we didn’t shower. The kitchen had virtually no supplies for coffee in the morning. Power outlets were difficult to find and use. There were no basics such as Kleenex and the toilet paper was inferior quality.

We were only stopping through for the night on a road trip but the house had everything we needed. A large and secure yard for the dogs and all that was needed to prepare and enjoy a warm meal. We slept well!!

Another successful stay at the Thaxton house is in the books! Located close to the NM Fairgrounds where the event we attend is held. It’s a very comfortable place for us to stay.

Older home, nice.

The property is nice, and in a central location. I had a lot of trouble with cell service but the wifi helped with that. The tv was a little finicky as were the thermostats. The owner was very helpful with thermostat and wifi issues. Very nice and personable. The door lock was very easy to figure out and worked well. This was my first time renting a home, my feedback was graciously accepted and appreciated. 3
These thermostats are very finicky, but just message the owner and he can fix them remotely Bring an extra blanket they are difficult to adjust and it gets cold!
I had my suitcase at the foot of the bed on the floor so I kept running into this handle on the desk. I have a few black bruises from it. Ouch!

I was very disappointed with the property.It was dirty. There was no hand soap anywhere. I had to use old shampoo for hand soap. Very limited dishes, etc in kitchen. The shower curtain was too short for the shower. The water came out with very little pressure. The shower was worn out and looked dirty. The whole place was Very old, run down and dirty.

Pleasant and safe stay!

My cocker spaniel and I stayed at this cute property for a sporting event - dog agility. It was very pleasant and very 10 minutes from the event location. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again! Thank you hosts, for a very nice stay!

Horrible, be aware.

This was the worst stay of our trip. To start, the neighborhood was a bit concerning, and the “house” just passable. The neighborhood has very few street light, and neither the porch or rear lights work, which create both a safety and security concern. We ordered a food delivery, and I had to stand outside in the dark neighborhood with my phone to flag them down. On the inside, the house is decorated like the pictures, but the shampoo bottle has paint spray on it, the shower head is meant for someone no taller than 5’3”, and the water barely gets warm. To top it off, we rented this unit on VRBO stating there were 3 adults traveling with pets, but the day we left I received a message that a “damages” charge was being added. I contacted the host who told me that the “damages” were a penalty for not informing them we had pets. After some back and forth, I let them know we would make a complaint through VRBO. For a one day rental I would usually be content, but adding an 80 charge for pets when the listing doesn’t list a pet fee, nor a penalty fee, is just fraudulent.

On the edge of a not so great neighborhood

Although I didn't have any issues, this is not a great part of town. It is located next to the Air Force base, so lots of noise and airplane activity. The apartment had everything that was needed. But it could have been a little cleaner.

Great little house!

We stayed here while in Albuquerque for a concert. It was perfect and had everything we needed for a quick stay. Really comfortable beds and pillows, I slept great. Only 1 downside to our stay. The shower drain was not draining. The owner did a great job of trying to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, we opted not to use the shower. Thankfully, we only live a couple hours away. I go to ABQ often for concerts and hope to stay here again! Love the decor too!

It was not safe

The property is fine, what was not fine was the entrance door, which had the door locks vandalized and the keys were not left in the box specified on the website. The bathroom was a bit covered in paint on the tub. For the price it is fine, except for the problem with the locks on the entrance doors.

Albuquerque Weekend

The house was as described and very clean. The backyard is very secure if you have dogs. The lock box wasn’t working when we got there to check in, but the host responded very quickly with an alternate way to get into the house.
