We do have a host that lives on the property in our granny flatt attached to the home. She takes care the property, guest needs and turn over. The private pool is shared with our two homes, if both homes are occupied each one is provided with two private gazebos located at the pool. Summer months can have a few extra warm days and high winds, this may affect the pool temperature (algae) and unwanted debris in the pool. Our pool service comes out weekly to do a thorough cleaning and provide maintenance. We apologize that you were not able to enjoy the pool to its fullest. It truly is a wonderful place to spend the days and magical sunset evenings. We do have a pest control service come out monthly, but as you mentioned it is a tropical climate and bugs can show up unexpectedly. It is located closer to the other house but a short walk down the driveway from this home. Each of the homes have full access. Although, we do not have air conditioning, the house does have a whole house fan and celling fans throughout the home. We typically don’t have complaints regarding the heat but occasionally we do have a few extra hot days. We will be installing air conditioning in the near future. There are multiple options for groceries, 19 min away is Foodland Farms Mauna Lani. If you wanted to pick up a few essentials there is a market and a general store nearby. Thank you.
