This is the gem you've been searching for - allowing for a getaway for the whole family - and allowing you to splurge on so much more! This one bedroom, ski-in/ski-out home, actually sleeps up to 8 people! Even better, you have easy access to the NEW Disciples 8 Chairlift!
The bedroom features two twin bunk sets plus a futon. In the living room, not only do you an oversized wrapping couch, but there is also a Murphy bed. Your kitchen comes fully equipped and there is a full bathroom with shower/tub combo. With the oversize living room and private patio, there is so much space for everyone to enjoy all times of the year. Whether you enjoy gathering the whole family together after a long day playing at Boyne Mountain, in front of your private fireplace in your living room, or taking in the summer and fall evenings as you overlook the beauty of the hills - everyone is sure to take home memories for a lifetime!
When combined with its sister property, DV688 (located directly above this home - and connected by an internal stairway) this one bedroom/one bathroom home becomes a four bedroom/four bathroom home. DV688 is the upper levels of this home, and when rented together, you also have two kitchens and two living rooms. This functionality allows multiple gathering areas and areas of privacy all at the same time! In true ski-in/ski-out fashion, enjoy the convenience and all that Boyne Mountain has to offer - and then snuggle up and snuggle in for a relaxing evening in paradise, in front of your private fireplace (both the upstairs and lower level homes have their own fireplace)! This home may be rented independently or in conjunction with the DV688, based on each portions availability.
The Area:
Boyne Mountain is a golfer and skier's paradise offering the top-rated skiing and snowboarding and golf courses in the Midwest. Boyne also has one of the largest water parks in the Midwest, tennis courts, Deer Lake/Beach, and several dining options. Golf, skiing and snowboarding lessons are available at the resort. We highly recommend purchasing lift tickets, ski rentals and booking tee times for golf in advance. For details regarding resort amenities, please contact the resort directly for pricing on their day passes and lift tickets.
Deer Lake is a public lake for you to enjoy, and 7 miles away is Lake Charlevoix in Boyne City.

Ski in ski out. Loved the location. Perfect accommodations for our family of 5. Gas fireplace and washer and dryer were nice to have. Note: This rental is in the basement of a property and the living area of the upstairs is above the basement bedroom…which was fine until the last night when new renters moved in upstairs and stomped around until midnight. The upstairs renters during the first part of our stay were quiet so sound was not an issue until the last night. Could use some more insulation between levels so it’s not an issue for future stays.

It is great to know that the gas fireplace and the in-unit washer and dryer helped make your stay more comfortable and convenient, especially on a ski trip. At the same time, I am very sorry about the noise you experienced from the upstairs renters on your last night. While this home is designed as a lower-level unit beneath another, guests should still be able to rest comfortably without feeling like there is constant stomping overhead. Your note about the difference between your first, quieter neighbors and the last night’s guests is helpful context. We really appreciate your suggestion about additional insulation between levels. Feedback like this helps us prioritize improvements that have a direct impact on guest comfort. We will review the sound transfer between the upper and lower levels and look at options to improve soundproofing, as well as reinforce quiet hour expectations with guests staying upstairs. If you ever experience something like this again on a future stay, please do not hesitate to reach out while you are here so we have a chance to help in the moment, whether that is contacting the other guests or looking for another solution. Cozy and Yet Roomy!

Clean cozy place that accommodates a surprising number of guests. My wife and I stayed here with 6 of our adult and teen kids, and everyone enjoyed the place and all the great activities in the region.

Cozy Girls trip

The condo was clean, well furnished and very cozy. We loved the big sectional and large kitchen table. The one bedroom had two sets of bunk beds and a full bed. There was a murphy bed in the living room. We all enjoyed being together. We'll definitely rent this condo again.

Girls summer weekend stay

Enjoyed our weekend stay at this condo for the price. Walkable to Boyne Mountain Resort for more summer activities, but most you had to pay for. Wish some more was included in stay (chair lift tickets, hot tub or pool, etc). Pretty clean, but definitely a little musty smelling.

Great place, very clean, advertised right. They only negative I have, has nothing to do with this company. needs to have more signs in the condo complexes, and also more lighting along the paths.

Nice property, convenient for getting to town and using the resort facilities. There were quite a few bugs and could use a bug spray weekly to keep up on them. The dehumidifier was new and really helped keep the mustiness down. Beds, living space and kitchen were great for a family of 5, could easily accommodate 8.

Wonderful first time stay in Boyne

Wonderful first time stay in Boyne. The property was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was nice to have a kitchen that had quality pots and pans as well as beautiful dishes. I would say this property was better than advertised. The only issue that we had was the group that stayed in the house above our unit as they were rather loud with their walking. That was really the only issue we had and we enjoyed our stay tremendously.

It worked pretty well for 6people. There’s only 1 bathroom and the bedroom is a bunk room that sleeps 6. Our friends on the Murphy Bed in the family room said that bed was comfortable.

Great condo for a quick ski trip

Condo was great! Very clean and spacious for a one bedroom. Check-in process and directions to condo were very clear and friendly (all via text/email). Kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfy, bathroom was very spacious and fireplace was key in drying off ski gear. Condo location is closest to Deciples new 8-man chairlift. Amazing for skiing in and a short uphill walk to get out but not terrible. A suggestion to owner is to add a water guard under the deck above to prevent water/snow melt from dripping on guests walking in/out of this unit. Also, a small table and chairs would be a nice touch for sitting outside.

Great Location Watch the Cleaning Fee

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sweet location for the fall peak colors as the ski lift was in the back yard! Disappointed in the $222 cleaning fee-I suppose that's where they capture additional income. It was relatively clean, but multiple webs, spiders dead and alive in addition to throw pillows with stains on them led my mind to wander what was on them. Overall good, just not happy with that cleaning fee.

Graduation Party

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were in town for a graduation party and needed a place to stay. This was a very nice option for our family of 5. Reasonable rate and great accommodations. Could easily fit 8 had we added a few more to the guest list. Loved the full kitchen and location (quick walk down the hill to the resort and any of its amenities). There were a lot of bugs and carpenter ants in the condo, just need a regular weekly spraying to keep up on them. And we couldn’t find the thermostat to adjust the temperature, assumed it was in the upstairs unit, but only stayed downstairs and no way to control our temperature. Also appreciate the dehumidifier that was placed in the condo, seemed new as we had to untape it empty it. Seemed a little musty but keeping that up will help immensely.

It had everything we needed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean, the bathroom was newly updated and large, and the kitchen had all the necessities for cooking basic meals. The location (in winter) was a perfect ski-in/ ski-out location, literally right outside the door! I will note this location is a bit dated and could use some new furniture. The ottoman pleather is deteriorating and flaking off, the remote for the fireplace was not working, the dish tv was in and out based on weather, the futon in the room (the queen bed) was not suitable for two people (it leaned on one side) and the bar stools were literally fall apart (several screws came out)! As others have said, if anyone occupied the upstairs condo the sound traveled horribly. I believe the owners let their teenage/college age kids stay there unsupervised and the kids were loud and rowdy until well after midnight. Bring earplugs!

Ski trip FUN!!!

I had the opportunity to rent this unit with my family from December 30th to January 3rd. overall evaluation of the apartment is good, clean, and warm enough for a family of five. There are pots and pans available for cooking in the unit. However, we did notice that the selection is limited in comparison to rentals that we have stayed at in the past and cooking can get somewhat complex if you need to cook a large dinner for a large number of people, The unit is right next to a ski lift which is super convenient! If a member of your group gets tired or needs a break, the unit is accessible and easy to get to from various parts of the slopes. If you are considering this apartment in order to rent it must be mentioned that if there is anyone renting the unit above, footsteps and conversations in common rooms are very clear and conversations are not private. We did have a few nights where we were kept up late due to those above us and how the sound amplified throughout the unit.

Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the unit and the Rental company were amazing. The unit itself needs a lot of work to be up to par with the other units we have stayed at while enjoying Boyne. The unit is very worn and needs to be updated to demand the pricing it does. IE- ottoman is torn badly and worn, bar stools are falling apart and held together with electrical tape, microwave is half working with a broken faceplate, fireplace did not work. We would book again through the agency but not this unit.

This group is very inflexible with reservations

We booked this property in early December for the end of January. We meant to book it for New Years weekend. After realizing our mistake within two hours of the booking we were not able to change or cancel the reservation. The location of this property is great but these people are not helpful. If you encounter this same situation, prepare to deal with a “sorry about your luck” response. We won’t stay in another property managed by them.

Hi Breanne, We are so sorry you booked the incorrect dates for your trip. After reviewing the VRBO messages and email response, we did respond to your request asking you to submit a "Change Reservation" request within VRBO. This would have allow you to select another date. Unfortunately, our New Year's Weekend was already booked for this condo, as these weekends tend to book many months in advance. Unfortunately, we never saw an official request come through nor a cancellation request, nor did we receive a response in our VRBO chat. The next message on file was an arrival inquiry over a month later. We are not a hotel establishment, therefore we cannot simply move you to another condo, as each condo is individually owned. However, we would have certainly tried our best to assist you. We hope you enjoyed your trip. Hopefully, you can enjoy a New Year's in Northern Michigan this year. Excellent ski-up location

This is an outstanding ski-up location. The condo itself is basic: the lower walk-out level of the larger condo. It is clean, well-kept, and functional. It's not a beautiful unit - with drop ceiling and few windows. But what it lacks in beauty it makes up for in location and functionality. We found the Murphy bed and futon mattress to be surprisingly comfortable.
