Tarenga is a Senegalese word for "Welcome" and our doors welcome you on your next visit to Deep Creek Lake!

Experience the unique charm of this hilltop chalet with its hand-woven throws from Mali, hand carved tropical hardwood furniture from Guinea, and masks and other curios collected from over two decades of the owner’s life in West Africa.

The spacious gathering areas and scenic views make for a perfect retreat with family and friends. Get cozy in front of the gas fireplace in the great room where there is ample seating for everyone. You can watch TV or swap stories about your favorite moments from the day's adventures.

Outfitted with everything you need; you can prepare favorite family meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a spot for everyone at the dining table and breakfast bar making mealtime a breeze. Plus, you have easy access to the wrap-around deck with multiple picnic tables and a large gas grill for when you want to barbecue or have dinners outdoors.

Get a good night’s sleep in one of the four bedrooms, two which are located on the main level while the loft and primary suite upstairs offer mountain views with a private balcony.

Kick-back in the lower-level family room to spend quality time. Or mix up your favorite beverages at the wet bar and settle in to watch TV by a crackling fire. Two double futons also give you options for flexible sleeping arrangements. The fourth bedroom is also located on this level with a queen bed and bunk bed perfect for older children or teens.

The great outdoor space also includes a hot tub, and beautiful scenery. Located in the The Ridge at Paradise Point community, you’ll enjoy lake access with three docks and multiple groves just a short drive away for lakeside summer fun. Go for a swim, bring your paddleboards, or rent a boat to take out and explore the quiet coves and shoreline of the lake.

Deep Creek Lake State Park is nearby and is a definite must for any vacation. Offering the only true sandy beach at the lake, you can also rent a kayak or hike miles of trails under the shaded canopies to cool off from the sun.

Marinas, restaurants, mini golf, and the movie theater are all within a five to ten-minute drive. Make Wisp Resort your destination for adventure! They offer golf, ziplines, a mountain coaster, disc golf, and much more. During the winter months, you can ski and snow tube.
