The entire property is perfect for weddings, military TDYs, corporate housing, and family reunions.
Events require prior coordination with hosts and need an additional $1249 event fee to cover additional services and manpower. The event fee is WAIVED when five nights or more are booked.
The total sleeping capacity is 44 people. The maximum event size is usually 60 people.
The event fee covers many additional services and workforce required to host an event. Some services are seen, like additional landscaping and pool and spa service to ensure you have a photo-ready day. Others, like additional trash pickup, energy usage, additional usage and heating for the spa, additional liability insurance especially for events, and coordination with the neighbors may go unnoticed and these all have additional costs to them.
The biggest service is the additional assistance you'll get. What is that?
Assistance = sharing information, ideas and coordinating with you about vendors and setup. Walking through the property WITH YOU to help with locations and ideas for the event.
Day of - welcoming and directing guests onto the property: We have 29 parking spaces but only if the cars are parked appropriately. We are handling day of problems that ALWAYS happen. It could be anything. One time we had a mom who said the upstairs was hot and it would not cool off, it turns out the oven had been on broil since 9 am and it was 5 pm! We work with boat captains for sunset cruises and photographers, ect. Assisting with the gift table and securing items. One neighbor called the police because a guest parked in front of his house (not against the law or code). I went out and spoke to them and double-coordinated noise levels so no one at the event had to deal with this.
In another instance, the wedding party needed some items from the store. We could go out and get them so guests could stay at the event. Spills happen, things break and trash needs to be taken out, we can handle that for you. Having a knowledgeable, extra hand when having a wedding is always nice. I was an Emcee and DJ for 7 years and performed at many weddings. I have seen disasters of an event and amazingly smooth ones. All of this takes time and experience that I have to pay people for their time and experience, whether it's me or another host. These duties go well beyond a normal nightly booking.
The short legal criteria for an event is anytime any guest comes over that is not staying the night. That is when additional insurance is needed, and the some, all or additional services are required.
