Oceanfront modern 4BR home with stunning views

This stunning beachfront property, located on a stretch of beach with restricted vehicle access, has fabulous views of the ocean and private beach access. It sleeps up to 10 guests in 4 bedrooms. Upper level has a spacious master bedroom, bathroom, and private deck with an ocean view. Main floor has an inviting open floor plan with living area, dining area, bar, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. There is also a large deck with chairs in both shaded covered areas and open sunny areas.
While we do not have a solar system, we exclusively purchase solar electricity for the home (Chariot energy). We have also replaced all windows with low e windows. So your stay is as environmentally responsible as possible.

Wonderful Beach House

Loved staying at this property. Wonderful views and great deck. Hosts are very attentive and the house has all the amenities that make it feel as accommodating as the hosts are.

Fantastic Location!

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this home. You truly cannot beat the location. Directly on the beach and not crowded at all! The house is nicely stocked and very comfortable!

Great home. Great location. Wish ice maker worked and the beds were softer:). It is an excellent property. Would stay there again without reservation!

Thanks for your kind review. The ice maker was only bought a couple of months ago and we were not aware that it had already broken - we will certainly fix it. The mattresses are all new and were selected to provide optimal support, but we realize that everyone likes a different mattress :).

Great Location. Close to everything. Bedroom and bathroom combination and location was great. Suggest installing an elevator or lift. Stairs are really steep and hard to climb, especially with luggage.

Thanks for that suggestion! The staircase is fairly wide and has a standard step height and step width. Also, there are a total of 3 landings placed between the approximately 28 steps, but we certainly recognize that some renters would prefer an elevator.

Great Beach Experience

Great experience for our family’s first beach vacation. Easy access to the beach and easily slept 6 adults, 1 baby and 3 toddlers. The kitchen was fully stocked, nothing you need to bring from home. The living area was spacious and allowed plenty of room to play for the kids. It was nice to have the outdoor shower to rinse off so you didn’t track sand in the house. We will be back! Fabulous stay!

My family and I stayed at this home because my husband and I were getting married in Galveston. The house and location are absolutely amazing! The house was large enough for my husband and I, my parents, and our children. Everyone have their own space I was able to relax on the balcony as desired. The property manager so easy to correspond with any returns messages very promptly. We have no complaints and look forward to seeing at this beautiful home again.

The owners are excellent to work with. The upstairs ac went out and they had a new one in in one day! They even refunded some dollars. I don’t care for the convection stove top but that’s just me. The property is excellent and well stocked. You won’t go wrong with this one.

Turtle Shell

Upon arrival we were surprised to find the house had changed color. We were not looking for a blue house, but a gray/tan one. No worries, changes had been made and we were delighted with the house, neighborhood, and private beach. There were 10 of us (6 adults and 4 children under 10) and everyone was quite comfortable throughout the stay. We highly recommend this property!

My beach house stay

Communication with the property manager was great. The house was amazing. The view, the space, the balcony, was all so perfect. Home was clean both inside and outside, i had instructions and access to everything i needed. The neighborhood was very peaceful. Upon entry to the kitchen and living area the view so breathtaking as well as the view in the master room.. The ocean breeze while on the deck was heaven on earth and the swing complimented this so well. I did not want this vaca to end.

Awesome getaway

We had a great time and the house was perfect for us. It is about 20 minutes out of Galveston which was a plus. The reason I gave it a 4 star in cleanliness is because they had some busted pipes and the contractor and plumber left a mess under the house. Thank you Ed for all your quick responses when I texted you. I have rented the house for August for a girls trip. Can’t wait.

Fun time!

Overall the property was awesome! Disappointed that there were no washcloths available! One of the sliding screen doors to the deck was not working properly (off of the track) & was difficult to open & close, therefore we didn't use it! Had an issue right when we arrived with ants on the kitchen counter & in the toaster! Other than that, we had a great time!

Great place to stay!

Overall this is a great property. It fit us all very comfortably and had absolutely stunning views. The kitchen was fully stocked which is rare in a rental property and the layout is very nice and makes for comfortable living. We are aware we came during the off season but the property was under construction. The entire under part of the house was blocked off or covered in tarps. We are from northern climates and did go swimming, so it would have been nice to have the outside shower after that. As well as use of the grill which was also included in the list of things provided. Even with that I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s 30 minutes away from the strand and has lots of amenities near by.

Construction was supposed to have been completed by the time of your arrival, but unfortunately was not. The grill was available and ready to use (unlocking instructions are provided in the instructions to our home). I wish you would have called and we could have helped you unlock it. All the Best!

Great place for family vacation

The property was just as advertised. We chose this home for the great view, large deck and open floor plan on the main floor. This allowed our family to spend a lot of time together whether someone was in the kitchen, sitting at the table playing games, or lounging on the couch. The house was beautiful and the location was close enough to do the touristy things on the island but far enough to have a quiet time on the beach with not a lot of other people around. There was a small grocery store just a few minutes from the house and a great pizza place too! We also enjoyed the private shower and storage beneath the house. This made it easy to clean off and not track sand into the home. We would come back if vacationing again in Galveston! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and allowing us to create lasting family memories!

Family & Friends Getaway

The house and location are excellent. Biggest five star review goes to Joerg and his communication and responses. There were some very minor issues that were taken care of promptly. The amenities of the house are excellent. Easy access in on arrival and plenty of things to do for the kids. Both the outdoor and indoor space are excellent for all ages. The kitchen is stocked with all the accessories needed to cook any meal. Access to the patio has three sliders on the main living room/kitchen. Our son was especially excited about the telescope that we used the last night to look at all the craters on the moon. We have small children and one of the best parts of the house is certainly the fact that vehicles cannot drive on the beach where the house is located. Not having to worry about someone running over my maniac two-year-old is a big plus. It also has very close access to the Seven Seas Grocery store as well which is a gem. Perfect getaway place and we plan on staying there again in the near future.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This rental is in Indian Beach which is a premium Galveston beach with well kept homes and car free beaches. The private wood walkway provided one of the shortest and easiest beach accesses that you will find on Galveston Island. We have come to Galveston for vacations for 30 plus years. And this is one of the most well maintained homes we have rented. The large and beautiful porch on the main floor gave everyone opportunities for sun and shade. The lounge chairs, porch swing and outdoor dining table were where we spent most of our time. But the open concept indoor living, dining kitchen area were also well used with lots of comfy seating. The bedrooms were nicely furnished. We loved the blackout shades that kept the house cooler during the heat of the day AND helped the little ones sleep a bit later since sunrise was 6am. The air conditioner worked GREAT with ceiling fans in most rooms. Those who need or want a firmer mattress might find the downstairs king bedroom mattress uncomfortable (soft and without support). That would be my only recommendation - one new mattress for that room. The master bedroom upstairs has lots of extra space. We brought 2 twin air mattresses so our grandkids could sleep in the room with us. Often on vacations we let them sleep in closets. But none of the closets were big enough for a pack and play. And the bunk room is quite compact with no room for luggage (something to consider when planning). The bathrooms were a good size. The downstairs bathroom that is used by the king bedroom and bunk room has two sink areas which are very nice. Fully stocked kitchen with ice machine and filtered water spigot were a bonus. Parking was nice with two spots of covered parking. And the downstairs area is large and shaded with a picnic table. We set up a baby pool in the concrete shaded area for the little ones to swim in when the sun got intense. We found a copperhead snake underneath one of our boogie boards. He wasn’t aggressive. But snakes are a reality in Galveston. Overall - our family LOVED this house. We kept commenting about the amazing ocean view and how the porch was spectacular. Everything worked in the house. We’ve stayed at so many houses in Galveston where the air conditioner constantly fights to keep up. But that wasn’t the case with this house. Our family is growing so we need one more bedroom for our next holiday. Otherwise we’d be making reservations for next year!
