Lovely Apt and Great Location

Spacious, first floor accommodations which were great for my family that consisted of children and my elderly mother. Great location - close to the pool and gym and the shuttle to the beach stops nearby. Can’t wait to visit again.

Family had a good time but....

We had a great time it's our second time spending our spring break in the area but the condo was not clean out properly. The toilets had pee stains on the toilet. One of the beds had crumbs on the covers. And there were no hot water we had to call someone to get some hot. We had a great time as always but the condo needed a better clean up.

We normally love Vacasa properties and have rented many times previously. This is the first that did not live up to expectations. First, the property is heavily dated and in serious disrepair. Many of the blinds are broken leading to lack of privacy and poor sleep in the morning. Peeling paint in many places. Second, the home had not been properly cleaned. We found trash in many places (chewed gum under the bed…) and old food on the floor of the kitchen. We were only provided a partial refund of the cleaning fee as they claimed the home had been partially cleaned. Seems all or nothing to me. Oh well. Sea Colony is wonderful and has a ton of amenities. We’ll be back to the area again and will use Vacasa again, but definitely not this unit. Look for another place to stay.

We confirm the owner has installed darkening shades for the home. The cleaning oversights have been addressed with housekeeping to make sure they are paying close attention to detail when preparing the home for our guests. Vacasa is terrible to deal with

We arrived at the property and it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Not at all. We slept in the car the first night because all of the beds had previously been slept in and not cleaned. You get all kinds of automated communication from Vacasa but they don’t actually pay attention to or answer any of it. You can’t actually talk to anyone who makes decisions, just a customer service person that says they will pass along your concerns. We have been vacationing in Bethany Beach for over 30 years and have never had such trouble with a rental agency. The property is nice enough, but it’s not worth it to have to deal with Vacasa. We will never use Vacasa again for a vacation rental.
