By far my favorite VRBO property I've ever stayed in. Very clean! Bed was so comfortable and we got really good rest. The waterfall was so peaceful and we loved listening to the waterfall while having a fire going in the background. Hot tub was a plus! Great hiking trail behind the property, especially for a great sunset view. Easy and scenic access to Asheville and the Blueridge Parkway. I can't say enough good things about this property. It was truly a gem and one of the best vacations I've had.

My sister and I staet at Brett's Cabin for Thanksgiving. It was lovely! The dogs loved nosing around the creek and waterfalls and the gas powered fireplace inside was a GAME CHANGER! Really, really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return!

Quiet quaint mountain cabin. Well stocked kitchen and great hot tub. Nice fire pit for the cool crisp nights. Gas grill was nice for cooking out during our stay. The waterfall added a nice touch while enjoying our morning coffee out on the front covered porch.

If you are looking for a private location with hospitable hosts, you’d probably be better served looking elsewhere. We arrived to the location and rather than your typical “welcome” message, we were sent a message that they had come to “check the mail” and noticed that the additional cover of the hot tub had been lifted up on one corner and could we please close it. Sure no problem. We had just checked to make sure it was on so we could use it in a few hours. The next morning we woke up to a lot of yelling and realized there was a shirtless man, clearly on drugs, in the front yard. Also to note, the waterfall is nice but it is part of the driveway and the road is quite busy which isn’t great for the front porch privacy which we had hoped to have. So between the traffic and yelling individual, there’s not a feeling of much isolation. Things definitely got worse from here. We went out to grab food and shop and while gone we received a rather rude message from the host that we had our belongings in the house and were late on our check out. We had booked two nights and it had only been one. We kindly asked her to recheck her calendar and re-read the confirmation that she sent us to acknowledge that we really did have reservations and we were within our date range. Of course she provided an apology but honestly the message was so rude and we already felt watched and unwelcome so it didn’t go very far to help smooth things over. We won’t go back.

Brett’s falling waters cabin

Peaceful serene, alpha waves from the nearby ford waterfalls over the access road was quite pleasant from the side wooden porch. Saw Black bears 4 out of 6 days we stayed. Jacuzzi on the side porch made for many nice times and a great vacation.
Calamba Falls 15 miles a way and a great moderate hike.

Nice get-away

While the waterfall is right outside the front door, you can't hear it at night unless you open a window... hence you can sleep with or without it. For dog lovers, I have two beagles, there was a zigzag walking path up the mountains. The house is well kept. One of the owners came by to check on everything. Great guy. A good location if you don't want to be bothered or need to be away from town and city, both only minutes away and easily accessible. We will be back.

Beautiful property

Beautiful piece of property and a clean quaint cabin. One slight issue, there was an odor of either the septic vent or the gas fireplace that I was sensitive to and we had to keep the windows open most of the time. Luckily the temperatures were mild. The owner was extremely nice and responsive.

Loved the Falling Waters!!

Husband and I loved this cabin! I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin interior. It had everything we needed to be comfortable plus more. The owner takes great pride in making sure everything is just right. The outside front porch was amazing!! We sat outside for hours reading and watching and listening to the waterfall. There was a constant cool breeze too! It was too relaxing. The porch had a railing all around so our little dog could sit out there with us and we weren't worried about her at all. The owners, Lorna and Bob, are fantastic too! Our power went out in the early evening (someone ran into a power pole way down the street) and within a few minutes Lorna was in our driveway giving us extra waters for drinking and a jug for flushing. She was also equipped with a few battery operated lanterns in case we needed. I highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to get away to relax. We went into Black Mountain and Downtown Asheville which were fun day trips. We drove through various areas that the damage from Hurricane Helene was still very obvious.

This lovely little historical cabin was the perfect place for a girls weekend. It was peaceful, clean, and the view was beautiful. We were very close to many amenities and fun spots. The kitchen is FULLY stocked. We brought items to cook and didn’t need them. 10/10

Cute cabin

Conveniently located to both Asheville and Black Mtn-Blueridge Parkway this is a cozy 2 br cabin. It has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The only reason i didn give 5 stars is b/c the hot tub took basically a day and a half to get up to temperature.

Weekend at Brett’s cabin

We had a wonderful weekend getaway and the cabin was perfect! Spotless, comfortable furniture, completely stocked kitchen, very nice appliances and new propane grill. The small considerations added up to a very comfortable stay. From a plastic covered dog bed with puppy linens to an adjustable bed frame, they thought of it all! Hurricane Helene removed so many of the trees that the neighbors are visible so not real secluded but the proximity to black mountain and Asheville was great. Highly recommend staying here. The hosts were great!

Needed a place to stay for Parents' Weekend at Warren Wilson. Local hotels were charging an exorbitant price. Luckily found this property as close to WWC as any of the hotels and much nicer — beautiful surroundings, hot tub, and a fire pit. Perfect. Would stay again.

Perfect setting & location

This cabin was even better in person than in pics! It’s a great location while still feeling secluded. The sound of the waterfall out front is so relaxing. They have everything you need. Would highly recommend and stay here again!

Secluded retreat!

Our family and our family dog very much enjoy staying at Brett Fallingwater. Our dog loved the waterfall and we did as well. Our tub was a great place to soak those sore knees after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Everything we needed was included, and we enjoyed the Ingles discount card as well!

Absolutely wonderful little mountain cabin, close to Asheville

This is a darling place. It’s a bit tight for more than two , but it’s so well set up, that the three of us barely noticed! Super convenient and absolutely wonderful little deck overlooking a private waterfall. We had a fantastic time and will be back!

We are Bob and Lorna, retired from Northern Virginia. We have had our own home in Swannanoa for more than 25 years and love the mountains. We enjoy travelling, scuba diving and visits from our children and grandchildren. Our cabin was named by its original owner, Lorna's father Brett.

Our Bee Tree Valley neighborhood includes a church, a working sawmill and horse farm. The Cabin is equidistant to downtown Black Mountain and Asheville and is 25 minutes from the gorgeous Biltmore Estate. Come enjoy the serenity of our mountains!
