Half Block From Beach - Excellent Furnished 2 Bedroom Apt #3

Our newly constructed apt building is just a few steps from the beach along the Sea of Cortez. This ground floor two-bedroom apt is wheelchair accessible and has ample living space, perfect for up to 5 people (with a sofa-bed in the living room). The kitchen has all of the essentials for preparing your own meals, including a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and silverware. The built-in bar is surrounded by four stools and makes for an excellent dining table; or laptop work space. The living room has wifi and a smart television which is also connected to Dishnet satellite service. The living room is also furnished with a sofa which converts to an extra individual bed; and has a comfy love seat. A/C in the living room and in every bedroom keeps the entire apartment at just the perfect temperature.
The master bedroom has king bed, with end tables on each side (perfect for recharging your cell phones), and has a large chest of drawers and closet with ample storage space. The second bedroom has two beds: one very comfortable king size bed, and one individual bed; and has a large closet with ample storage space, and chest of drawers. The bathroom has immediate hot water and high water pressure; and a shower with a detachable head on a hose so you can direct the water wherever you please. The shower has a very comfortable built-in ceramic bench, suitable for wheelchair clients.
Through the backdoor of this apartment, you have direct access to the outdoor swimming pool, patio and lounge chairs, gas barbecue, outdoor kitchen, outdoor dining areas, the gym, the garden and secure parking lot, all of which are shared areas, for use by the hosts and all of the guests.
A quiet neighborhood of beautiful beach homes makes the walk along our beach safe and secure, just a short distance from palapas and the Malecon (the walkway along the sea wall). Ride bikes or walk along the beach to the Plaza, and discover why Loreto is known as a magical town ("Pueblo Magico").

Great place

The place was so clean and nice. The best part was coffee and visiting in the morning with the owners and other guests. Great pool. I really appreciated the pickup at the airport, it made everything so easy.

Great hosts

Hosts can make a great difference in your stay and these were th best we've had. On site, cappucino and pastries each morning by the pool, a BBQ on Sunday with locals and quests together. A real good time!

Heartwarming !

Stephen and Adriana are simply the best hosts. Everything, and more, was as it should be. Purified water, morning coffee and snacks, pot luck Sunday and more. Short stroll to the beach, 15 minute walk to Central Plaza, restaurants within easy safe walk. Apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. A great place to relax and get away from it all.

Great base for many activities

Comfortable and safe. Close to the beach for daily walking. Fun to visit with other guests and share experiences. The pool area is lovely, and coffee klatch with barista Stephen was a special treat!

In 2018, Adriana Macias and Steven Richkind moved to Loreto, Baja California Sur., They purchased a couple of lots near the beach and constructed a brand new apartment building which they named “Posada Espíritu Del Mar.” Translation: Spirit of the Sea Inn. The sea calls to their spirit.

Maybe it was the sunny climate of Loreto, or the experience of swimming in the warm, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, then getting out of the Sea to lie on the white sandy beach, basking in the sun, or lying in the shade of a palapa, feeling the sea breeze, and breathing deeply the fresh sea air, that inspired Adriana and Steve to finally settle in Loreto and build their home by the Sea. Steve likes singing in Spanish, a famous Mexican song says, “El sol, la luna y las estrellas, en el mar la vida es mas sabrosa!” ( “The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars – by the Sea, life is sweeter.”)

Steve and Adriana both practice meditation when they wake up each morning. “What a gift! To be alive and to appreciate being alive with every breath!” Whether they are traveling or hosting guests at Posada Espiritu Del Mar, Steve and Adriana believe that Peace is something they share with the people they meet. Listening with compassion from the heart is so much easier when you are feeling peace; so too is sharing from the heart.

Steve also enjoys playing classical guitar and improvising his own music. He has played guitar for more than 45 years. Steve offers guests free guitar lessons, and enjoys jam sessions with other musicians. The deck on the third floor has a beautiful ocean view, and is ideal for jam sessions, dancing, and parties, They have extra guitars and a set of professional congas. So if you are a musican, or if you appreciate listening to live music, don’t be shy about it when you come to Posada Espiritu Del Mar!

Steve and Adriana look forward to new adventures and making new relationships with all the guests who come to stay at Posada Espiritu Del Mar.
