Run-down and dirty. Most windows wouldn't open (frames warped). Venetian blinds mostly broken and not openable. Obvious property damage and neglect throughout (paint, rust, filthy walls). Filthy fridge, kitchen sink, and cooking utensils. Dining chair legs broken and seat cushions badly stained. Bedroom furniture missing door and drawer pulls. Furniture drawers were stuffed full of garage-sale grade bed linens. Missing lightbulbs everywhere (including bedside lamps). Bathtub and kitchen sink plugs didn't work. Bathroom drawers were a graveyard of left-behind junk from previous renters, like used bath scrubbies (eww). Used bars of soap. Washing machine leaks. Remote owner was okay to deal with (responsive and cordial) but the local property manager was hostile and, quite frankly, doesn't belong in this line of business. He even stood outside our door 20 minutes before checkout time to pressure us to get out. At 177 US a night this place was a shameful ripoff even though it is indeed in a good location (not the best in neighborhood by any stretch). Being charged a cleaning fee in advance was the ultimate insult. Somehow the old 9/10 ratings are still showing up in the reviews -- can't imagine how this can be true. This place needs a serious deep clean and a massive repair effort to be acceptable. Until that's done, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! And VRBO, you need to do better policing of homes being rented. We are renting privately in 2027 for considerably less.
