Hidden Haven - Hot Tub, Outdoor Shower & Firepit

The most adorable A-frame cottage on Hyco Lake! This Hidden Haven has everything your family needs to make memories to last a lifetime. A double slip boathouse and dock made for swimming! Two bedrooms on the main level with a loft upstairs that has two full beds! Totally renovated with all new everything!

Feel free to use our kayak and stand-up paddleboard!

A high-end firepit was recently installed. Steps lead from the back deck to the firepit. A half-bathroom was also added in February 2021.

THE SPACE

Guests can use all of the space including the dock!

Enjoy the peace and tranquility on the property. The house is located on a unique bend of the lake that gets low boat traffic. There is little light pollution so the stars stand out! The back patio is comfortable and spacious. Great for coffee in the mornings and watching the sunset at night. Also, enjoy using our gas grill (no charcoal) -- complete with barbecue utensils -- while admiring the views!

We constantly work to improve the home and experience for guests! This is why we added a half bathroom (January 2021), installed a professional firepit (Dec 2020), made an easier walk to the dock (Dec 2020), and an outdoor shower (May 2021). The outdoor shower is very convenient and easy to access.

We installed Starlink internet in May 2021. We have receivers in the house and on the dock.

Don't have a boat? Or don't want to haul it all the way to the lake? Don't worry! We will help you coordinate a boat rental. We have partnered with the local boat rental company (Hyco Lake Boat Rentals) to provide our guests with a convenient, safe, and enjoyable boat rental option.

GUEST ACCESS

While on the dock you can use all amenities we have floats, a speaker, two kayaks, and two paddle-boards.

OTHER NOTES

We do not allow any parties or events at this property.

Note: The lawn service provider may come to take care of the lawn during your stay.

HOT TUB:

During the hottest time of the year, from June to September, there should be an expectation that the hot-tub will be off-line.

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged. Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

Hidden Haven is close to Virginia International Raceway, Hyco Marina, Jibtopia, Tunnel Creek Vineyards, Roxboro Country Club and other area attractions.

Use of the water toys/activities is at the guest's own risk and discretion.

The primary renter for Hidden Haven must be 21.

While the internet is much better than we had before it is still satellite internet and is not perfect.

PETS:
• We allow a maximum of two (2) pets not weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture.
• Pets must be supervised at all times.
• Pets must be declared upon reservation

OPTIONAL BOAT RENTAL:
• We are in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals and they have pontoon boats available for rent. Send us a message for more information.
• The renter needs to be 26 years old or older. The operator/s need to be legally permissible to operate a boat
• The boats come with lifejackets.
• Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team. Often times the boat can be delivered and picked up directly from the dock.
• We are not held responsible in the event that Hyco Lake Boat Rentals does not rent out boats due to weather or any other circumstances.

The neighborhood has a gravel road that is scenic and great for walks. Please be careful and drive slowly. There are often kids playing on the street.
