Downtown Cozy Cottage Family Retreat

The Copper Cottage is complete with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and a loft upstairs, fit with two single beds for additional sleeping space. True to a cottage style, the kitchen is tidy but opens to an expansize, two story lofted screened in porch where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, listen to the birds and relax under the ceiling fans. The home is decorated in true cottage style to accent the quaint and cozy corners with bold and modern details - you can get away from it all here and enjoy total privacy!

We are in a beautiful and quiet location which is the perfect place to disconnect, unwind and relax.

This rental includes the entire cottage, plus yard and patio to yourself. No other guests or owners on property.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this cute and quirky little cottage. Zero complaints. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch and my teens liked the loft space away from us boring adults! Would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Gem in downtown Hartsville

Came to Hartsville to visit family and the Copper Cottage was convenient to everyone. It is a very quiet and relaxing place. The cottage is spacious and could sleep a full family comfortably. Thank you for the hospitality, we will definitely rent again!

Solid from start to finish

We had a great experience with the owners when we needed a place to stay on short notice. Upon arrival, the house was exactly as described and provided us with what we needed. The enclosed porch was a bonus space we enjoyed while taking business calls. Will visit again!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay in this cute house. We were there for my daughter's graduation from Coker College and it was so close to Coker College. Due to size of Campus, I would not walk but probably a 15 minute walk if you wanted to. Would stay again. Jamie

Whenever we visit family in Hartsville, we choose the Copper Cottage for our stay. It is charming, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The host is friendly, always responsive, and readily available if needed. The screened-in porch is the perfect spot to unwind after our travels. The most adorable!

This property was perfect for a meet up with me and my two sons (elementary school aged) and my dad. The property owners put a lot of effort into making their place feel like a home away from home. It was cozy and cute! They had streaming services that satisfied my boys and comfy seating that my dad and I used to talk and catch up. This place was preferable over the hotel that was down the road for sure! My nephew will be attending Coker University this fall, so I called my sister to tell her about this cottage after our stay so that she could stay here when visiting her son at school. Good beds to sleep on. Plenty of places to sit and rest/relax. Would definitely stay here again when in town.

Good neighborhood and location

Great location to Lakeview Club in a nice, safe neighborhood. Very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with plenty of towels. Main level beds were very comfortable. Third bedroom is finished space in an attic with no HVAC. The access is very small and only appropriate for young children. Based on previous VRBO rentals, this property was not clean enough. The floors were very dirty . When we realized this, we used the vacuum in the unit to clean them. The canister on the vacuum filled completely after cleanings. The cooktop on the stove was not clean. The parking was not accurately described as it tight could only accommodate 2 vehicles.

This review is leaving us a bit confused… there were only two guests for this stay and one vehicle. So why our upstairs bedroom and size of driveway are mentioned perplexes us. We have cameras on the driveway and never saw more than one vehicle. We have also had many guests stay with us because our driveway accommodates 6 parked cars or two trucks with trailers. Our proximity to Darlington Raceway has many guests join us with trailers, boats, large parking needs and we always accommodate their needs. We also own the property next door and can provide additional parking space if needed, which was never requested by this guest. HVAC is available upstairs but as it goes with older houses, it can be warmer upstairs. We would also share this guest didn’t leave the property on time and was charged a late check out fee which we think reflects in the review they’ve left us after being made aware of the extra charge. We pride ourselves on our home and have had a 4.8 rating for more than 4 years now. We love hosting, will never be perfect and we always encourage our guests to let us know if something is wrong so we can make it right. Every once in a while we get someone like this who doesn’t seem to understand the importance of ratings in the hosting world. Hopefully their next stay will be enjoyable to them elsewhere and our other reviews will outshine this one.

My wife loved this place! It reminded her of a cozy cottage and loved it's personality. The location was perfect, close to town and darlington speedway which helped alot. Things we was not happy about, which isn't much, but needs to be addressed I think. Bathroom door needs to be more private. Its folding closet doors. The bedroom doors would not actually latch or lock for privacy. Was not enough receptacles for phone chargers, fans, etc. This is the cons. Everything was clean, and the inside of the home was decorated very well. The owners done a great job. We loved your place, and thank you for letting us stay. We have never been to a darlington race, and this stay allowed us to come at an affordable price. Thank y'all lots!!! The Taylors!!

Hosts were so accommodating! I was in town during my dad's hospital stay, and I couldn't have felt more at home. It is such a cute house, and although it is small, there is plenty of space for multiple people. :)

It's a great location! Such good bones; we gutted almost everything and did the whole remodel ourselves. We're proud of it and feel at home here but we had all intentions of renting this place out!
