Escape to your Key West style neighborhood, Summerplace of Vero Beach Florida. It is a long established architecturally diverse community of stylish homes bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the lush tropical foliage, shell roads, and private beach access. Beach home is comprised of 2 levels. It offers 4 bedrooms, including 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed on upper level and 1 full bed and 1 twin on lower level. There are 2 cots also available on premises. Both levels have a functioning kitchen, living room, and bathroom. There are stackable washer and dryers on both levels. Tables and chairs on both upper and lower levels with a lovely deck on upper level and outside patio on lower level. Upper and lower levels can be closed off from one another. Living and dining areas on both levels share central space with views of the outdoors. There is an outdoor shower as well, for getting the sand off after beach visits.
Beach chairs and towels available on premises. Room for 3 vehicles out front. Plenty of room for a boat or RV. Route A1A splits the Island longitudinally (north and south) providing a convenient, scenic route to Vero Beach to the south and Melbourne to the north. A mere two minute walk to Summerplace’s third of a mile long private ocean beach. The house provides free cable tv entertainment and WiFi.

Wonderful oasis at the beach

We had such a nice holiday week…the house was perfect and neighborhood with beach so close just what we needed. Nice welcoming neighbors and cute holiday decor to make us feel at home. Two adults and two adult children with a beach loving dog…perfect set up for a lovely week!

Wonderful beach house

We loved our stay on Periwinkle Dr. The house was super clean and comfortable. It was much larger than we expected. The beach was close by maybe 2-3 block walk. The beach was amazing, clean and not crowded at all. We loved our stay and highly recommend this location.

Family of 4 Spring Break

Wonderful property nestled in a tropical jungle like feel and quiet neighborhood. Felt private yet was walking distance to the beach. About 15-20 minutes to downtown Vero beach or Sebastian. The property was clean, the kitchen and appliances on both levels is a plus. Enjoyed our stay!

Much Needed Beach Vacation!

Thank you for sharing your home!! This property was clean And very inviting upon entry. The property had 4 bikes. Being that the property is in a more residential area, we did not need a bike for each of us so we took turns riding. The beach was close, private, and nicely maintained. We really enjoyed daily beach time! We were pleased with clean, newer linens and plenty of towels, additional bedding, and beach towels. There was plenty of space for our family of 6 and would have worked well for two small families as well. The kitchens, laundry areas were very well stocked. Paper products and detergents were provided to get us started, as were kitchen spices and supplies- all very appreciated when new to the area and coming from a distance. Thank you to John for responding quickly to questions, making recommendations for places to visit and eat, and addressing needs. We had a lovely, much needed, relaxing vacation! Looking forward to our next visit!

Nice time

The inside of the property was clean and good. When we asked about a crock pot the owner supplied one for us. The upstairs bath was very nice. The table upstairs had only two chairs. Not enough for our group even if we sat at the bar. The outside needed some TLC. The outside table was large enough, but too hot most of the time to use it. The grill outside was beyond filthy and not useable. The beach umbrella was very small and wonky. A previous review mentioned bicycles and lots of beach toys. There were no bicycles and few beach toys. Overall we had a good time and the owners were very nice. The listing had a picture of beach access. If there was any mention that we would have to cross a busy road to get to the access, I missed it.

Brenda, Glad you had a good time visiting our little slice of paradise and utilizing the brand new crock pot you requested! We kindly ask guests to please bring any issues or concerns to our attention during your stay so that we can address the situation immediately, not after the fact in a poor review. We are very accommodating and want your stay at our home to be a joyful and memorable experience. After inspecting your concerns I found the umbrella was not the umbrella we had at our home and must have been replaced by a previous guest. It has since been replaced with a quality one which could have been done during your stay if you would have notified us. The grill is only 6 months old and gently used. There was no filth what so ever within it and operates as it should. We are located in a harsh costal environment and it has some surface rust which is easily removed when heating up and scraping with the provided utensil. Bicycles and additional beach gear are available upon request as mentioned in the listing. A simple call or text and any number of bicycles and toys would have been provided to you. We love sharing our home with others to experience this unique area and strive to deliver a wonderful stay to our guests.

It was good, but overpriced and needs some love (pictures are somewhat deceiving)

Based on the price that we were paying, we were hoping for much more. The location was decent, but there were some legitimate safety concerns and some areas that were just lacking. On the First floor: Closet door broken, Front door knob not working, Washing machine is dying, Tub & faucet are not in good shape, and Lights in fans do not work. Second floor: Tile floors are broken/shattered in several places and if you don't wear your shoes you will get cut. The washer and dryer are failing, dryer is vented back into the house, There are limited beach towels (2 per floor), the outside deck is failing, particularly over the driveway... there is rot in several location and it rocks back and forth... same with stairs to 2nd story. There is a water spigot on the 2nd floor deck that drips on the deck (water and wood are not friends) and draws a crowd of reptiles every evening.All the above aside, it could be CUTE and does have lots of character. Lots of possibilities.... but is overpriced.

Peaceful and Private Place — Great stay!!

We went on a last minute long weekend trip here with my family. It was a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Very peaceful and private. Loved the private beach which was a 5 minute walk. The place was full of amenities and was very cozy and spacious. Host was very responsive. We’d recommend bringing a cart or wagon for the beach (if you plan on going for a few hours) and the inside stairs are a little steep but very doable!! We did like that fact that the place had two separate levels. We cooked in most of the days but Downtown Vero and the nearest Publix in around 15 away. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again! Great for families or couples and highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, low key beach weekend.

Beach Toys.

Our host provided all kinds of beach toys and bicycles. Was kind enough to provide us use of another property when power went off during a storm. All in all it was a great experience. Great location and a perfect space with basically two dwellings in one. Ideal for group with adult children.

The Perfect Place

Reminiscent of the Keys

If you are looking for a quiet sleepy beach stay then this is the place, to stay. Really reminded me of Key West,. The owners were very responsive to my calls. Being able to have my dogs was wonderful. I was able to walk them on the beach morning and evening it was a real treat. Thank you once again for the use of your wonderful home!

Great house we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the property a lot.

Great owners and the house was fantastic. I believe we felt that the house was closer to the beach based on the photos but it was not that far so we were fine with it. Bottom line it was a great place with everything you need to enjoy a wonderful time. I highly recommend it.
