Each cottage offers: 2 bedrooms (queen bed in one bed room and 2 twin beds or twin/full bunkbed), one bath, kitchen and family room with futon. Covered porch. Steps away from the lake. Fire pit in front on each cottage. Dock for each cottage- so don't forget to bring the Boat!

Situated on 3.5 acres. Swing set in the back.

Long Lake is the ideal location for water activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, and water-skiing.

This LAKEFRONT property offers privacy and allows you to spend your vacation in harmony with Michigan’s natural environment.

Great Getaway

Perfect laid back setting for a weekend getaway. Owner was very responsive. Check in process was easy. Property was clean. Would definitely recommend the property for anyone looking to relax.

I can't speak for cottage, 2 or 3 only number one... The cottage needs some upkeep... It's a bit run down... Worked ok for me and my fishing buddy. Only because of the location to the boat ramp... the cottage is on the shores of beautiful long lake... Really Nice places on this lake are at a premium and are expensive... I would end by saying, bring your wife or special other to cottage number one at your own peril.

So peaceful and relaxing

My husband and I spent thanksgiving week here and retuned home rested and rejuvenated. The view is lovely of the lake and we were even able to take out the paddle boat. The owners are great and communication was fast. The bed was so comfortable we may get one for home! I believe we may have started a new tradition! The area is full of parts in an easy drive for hiking.

Quiet weekend getaway

My fiance and i last minute were looking for a quiet place to get away with our 2 dogs. We booked this place on a whim just off the pictures. The check-in was easy and the property was lovely( lake was still frozen but was still a beautiful view ) the manager answered all our questions and was very helpful. We cooked ourselves easter dinner and went on some hikes with the dogs which were amazing as well the lighthouse park is a must see. couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway out of the blue will be back again soon

Pure Michigan Paradise!

We had a great week on Long Lake. Chet and Lauren have done a lot of work on their property, and it shows. The cabins were very quaint, comfortable and clean, especially the beds. I like that we brought all our own linens and bedding, I feel that is more efficient for both owner and guest. The lake, the use of the resort's aluminum rowboats (we attached our own motor), grills, firepit and outdoor furniture made it a fun, relaxing week and we all agreed we would definitely like to return to Presque Isle Resort.

Shower

Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head.

Disappointment!

Property is in ill repair inside and out! Black mold along closet walls, moldy roll of toilet paper under bathroom sink, dead bugs littered the windowsills. Outside tall weeds, gas grill filthy, broken down fish cleaning station. The property description boasts row boats, paddle boats for activities but they onshore and difficult for guests to get into the water for use. There is junk piled up and piles of branches, yard waste all around. Kids play area also poorly maintained. Do not recommend! Will not be returning! We left it cleaner than when we arrived! I have photos but can't get appto add them.

Cozy but not what we expected based on listing.

The property grew on us. It was cozy….however there was popcorn on the ground and a pop bottle under a chair from the renters before us. We were surprised on how rough the bathroom looked. It was clean but to say there is hard water staining in the shower and toilet is an understatement. Our biggest surprise though was how hard the water really was. The water was not drinkable causing us to have to run to the nearest town as soon as we arrived to purchase more water. The host did leave a gallon but that was not enough for the three of us. The host was great though and communicated well. I just wish the pictures and description would be more accurate. We still would have stayed but we would have packed differently.

Cozy cabin

The cabin was warm and cozy. The area is private and quiet. We would love to see this lake and location in the summer. I’m sure it’s gorgeous… however the water quality isn’t great and there was heavy rust stains in the shower. They did provide a gallon of bottled water for us. It was the only drawback we could find.

Ice Fishing Getaway

Check in and out was easy. Small shops near by. Everything I needed for cooking was available. Right on the lake and close to the DNR boat launch. Trailer parking wasn't what we expected as both cabins were rented but we all made due and the management was willing to help. Would recommend. It is a cabin perfect for what you need.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. I apologize that the placement of my boat complicated the trailer parking. With my broken leg and the plow truck in the shop, lack of snow removal by the boat made it hard to move. I guarantee your next vist will be be even more convenient.

Quiet Getaway

The lake was gorgeous, and water access was premium. Be sure to take a boat if you have one as the launch is very close to the property, and each cabin has its own dock. The property owners were friendly, and quite understanding of our sons needs. Alpena is a 15 minute drive, but thankfully there is a small market 3 miles from the property. I would say that expectations were met, and surpassed.

Great View

It had a great view of the lake! It is a cement block house. I thought it was going to be cold with just a space heater.. but it was so toasty! The only 2 things that were not 5 star was , there were a ton of big black ants we had to kill. And the furniture was not comfy at all. Other than that it was nice!
