Clayton’s is home to the first public oceanside pier on South Padre Island. They host live music events all year round, put on great seasonal fireworks displays, and curate huge Spring Break events featuring local and world-famous performers. You can have food and drinks on the beachfront decks, dance to live music, play volleyball on the sand, and ride the banana boats all at Clayton’s Beach Bar. Bahia Mar Condominiums is also just 3/4 of a mile away from the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center and Alligator Sanctuary. Birders travel from around the world to cross once-in-a-lifetime birds off their bucket list. They come to see our rare and endangered local species like the brown pelican, peregrine falcon, and piping plover. The nature center and South Padre Island Convention Center are connected through a winding 3000 ft boardwalk through the marshlands. You can visit the famous Whaling Wall mural and butterfly gardens at the convention center before walking back to the nature center.
