Dieses malerische, haustierfreundliche Cottage (mit Genehmigung des Eigentümers) liegt 1,6 km vom Zentrum des Dorfes Skaneateles entfernt und ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Es liegt auf einer Privatstraße, ungefähr 400 Fuß vom Skaneateles-See entfernt. Es gibt keine Straßen, die gekreuzt werden müssten. Das Haus ist von Bäumen umgeben und sehr privat. Das Cottage, während Sie 2 Minuten die Privatstraße entlang zum See schlendern, verfügt über eine separate, private Veranda (rustikales rotes Gebäude auf dem Foto) direkt am See - ideal für Cocktails, Sonnenuntergänge usw. Bitte beachten Sie: Das rote Häuschen am Wasser dient nur zur Aufbewahrung. Sie wohnen in dem schlichten Cottage, das auf den Innenansichten abgebildet ist. Das rötliche Häuschen zeigt Ihren Seezugang. Zwischen dem Cottage, in dem Sie wohnen, und Ihrem privaten Seezugang liegen 2 Gehminuten.
Die Seeseite ist eben, hat einen eigenen Steg und eine allmähliche Neigung - ideal zum Schwimmen für alle Altersgruppen. Die Gasse ist von Bäumen gesäumt - sehr privat. Das Haus ist beheizt. Das Haus bietet Platz für eine Familie von 4 bis 6 Personen und verfügt über Wi-Fi.

I’m giving this review to help people planning to stay here to be prepared for a few “gliches” in this property. First of all, if you’ve never been to this area, you will find the turn off to the property difficult to find. As described, it looks like a driveway, but is actually a gravel road leading down to the cabin. We passed it 3 times before being sure where to turn. Google maps gave us a different turn! The photos are accurate, but the term, “rustic” definitely applies. We were here in early fall, so needed AC as well as heat. One small AC window unit in bedroom, and a floor fan for cooling. The heating unit in the living room came on by itself and runs extremely loud. Again, just be aware.The biggest issues we had were having a kitchen with absolutely no condiments like basic salt and pepper, and the bathroom floor that is sunken in front of the toilet, and no soap or bathroom products. As I reread the description of the property, it does say no “disposables “. I guess we just didn’t understand that this meant you as the guest provide everything! Guess we were spoiled by the last place we stayed that had everything you could possibly need or want!If you want privacy, it’ll be good for you. There is a short walk down to the lake, which gives a nice view. And it does have a small rustic pier as pictured. We met the owners on our last day, and they were extremely nice. We didn’t bring up any issues with them since we were leaving the next morning.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Aside from being a great location, the cabin is cozy and pleasant. It was well-stocked with kitchen gear and things like towels and such. The bed was super comfortable. Andrew is great. Easy to talk to and responsive.Skaneateles Lake is a gem. I miss my daily swims!I would stay here again without hesitation.

Convenient location

Cute rustic cottage conveniently located near the village of Skaneateles. Short drive into town to pick up groceries / supplies or visit the local shops and restaurants. While there is no view of the lake from the cottage, the short walk down the path is pleasant and the private shed porch / shoreline / dock provide ample opportunity to enjoy the lake.Walk-in access to the water made launching the kayaks we brought easy. The cottage is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our trip and hope to return again.

Wonderful camp!

Had a great stay in Skaneateles, beautiful setting, with private water access to a gorgeous lake. Very very private and cozy, with wonderful nights watching movies together after moving my daughter to her new apartment. Restaurants were fabulous and very short drive, sleep was great with comfortable beds, and Andrew was so responsive. Despite the fact that it is on the same road as the owner it is very very private! I want to come back when we can spend all our moments there!

Graduation SU stay

I decided not to book a hotel for my son’s graduation wknd and stay in Skaneateles. I wanted to stay out here for the last 4 yrs. Booked this little space on a whim and I’m so happy I found it. We had a great stay at the cabin near the lake. Andy was extremely responsive and flexible with questions and adjusting our reservation. We stayed at the property during a heat wave, but there were plenty of fans and the bedroom had an AC unit. Everything was as pictured. Morning stroll to the lake felt like a movie… bunnies, chipmunks, ducklings all made appearances. The property makes you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle but is a short drive or walk to the village.

Lake Access Cabin

While our weather was unexpectedly chilly, our time away in the cabin was wonderful. We were supplied adequately with heat and with every possible device and appliance. We had a woodsy, charming and short walk to the lake which our Italian Greyhound especially enjoyed. The bed, the bedding, the towels, the dishes, the cooking utensils were good quality and more than adequate. And the availability of firepit and wood was an extra treat. Just being near the beautiful Village of Skaneateles was especially noteworthy. But, if your hope is to fish, bring or rent a boat or kayaks.

Great Cabin!

We felt like we were in the middle of peaceful woods with our very own lake to skip rocks on. Then we jumped in our car and we were in the cutest town, Skaneateles, with shops restaurants and a great place to walk in just a 4 minute car ride! My kids want us to buy the cabin!

Lovely getaway

The place was great, roomy for just the two of us and our dog. I loved taking the short walk down to the lakeshore each morning and especially at night to see all the stars. Hosts were more than accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely stay here again!

A suggestion

since the property owner recommends that guests use bottled water for drinking, a couple of bottles to get a new guest started would be appreciated. also some detail on what is in the house before we have to ask. beautiful and clean property. we were not there to take advantage of all the amenities because we were having a family reunion off site but we would visit again.

Beautiful area and wonderful cabin

Our cabin was in a very private area with access to the lake. That is exactly what we we were looking for—privacy, quiet, and a peaceful natural area with birds and our special rabbit whom we saw frequently. We loved the dock area and spent a lot of time there just looking at the lake. We took our boards and kayak out every day to explore the beautiful, clean waters of the lake. It was a wonderful experience. The cabin was comfortable and clean, with all necessities provided. I appreciated the coffee-table book about the Finger Lakes, which made me think about the history of the region and its progressive communities. The back porch and campfire area were also comfy, and we used them a lot. I hope that cabins like ours continue to be offered to Skaneateles visitors, and that the neighborhood does not become increasingly posh and exclusive.

We enjoyed our stay at Skaneateles lake. The cottage has lake access, which is where we launched our kayaks from. The lake was quiet and calm during our stay! Andy is very nice and was responsive to my questions. Tyson enjoyed our getaway!
