Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear the space was very clean, matched the online photos, had a well-equipped kitchen, and offered a beautiful view. We’re very sorry, however, about the condition of the grill. A grill that has not been properly cleaned between stays can create a safety concern, and we apologize that your meal caught fire. Your comments will be shared with our housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams so the grill can be thoroughly inspected and cleaning procedures reinforced. We also understand your disappointment with the lack of an automatic ice maker and arriving to empty ice trays, especially at this price point. We appreciate you mentioning it and will share that feedback with the property owner as well. Thank you again for staying with us and for pointing out both what you enjoyed and where improvements are needed.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful review. We’re glad to hear you found the property to be great and especially enjoyed the lakefront location. That quiet, narrow, no-wake section of the lake really does create a more peaceful and private feeling, and we’re happy it helped make your stay more relaxing with less boat noise. We also appreciate your honest note about the bedroom and bathroom layout. We understand how having a private bathroom can be important for some guests, and your feedback is helpful for future visitors when considering whether the layout is the right fit for their group. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us and for your recommendation. We truly appreciate it and would be happy to welcome you back anytime.

Hi Tracy, Thank you for the 5 Star Review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Sincerely, The Staff at Northern Michigan Escapes

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed and thoughtful feedback. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful setting of *Lake Charlevoix Memories* and that the space worked well overall for your group of six adults. The lakefront views and access are certainly special, and it’s great to know the home itself was nearly just right for your gathering. That said, we sincerely regret the inconveniences you encountered during your stay and truly appreciate you pointing them out. Your comments regarding the lack of propane, condition of the charcoal grill, limited beach seating, and the sloped firepit area are all valid concerns—and we understand how these can affect your ability to fully relax and enjoy your time. We’ll be passing this feedback directly to our property management and maintenance teams to address these specific issues so future guests can have a smoother experience. Regarding the A/C system, we know how important it is to stay comfortable—especially during hot summer days. We will have our HVAC professionals assess the system's performance to ensure it’s functioning as efficiently as possible moving forward. We’re also very sorry to hear that your experience with the management communication felt impersonal and overly transactional. That is never our intent. We always strive to deliver not only professional service, but also personalized and attentive care. Your comment about the generic instructions and lack of names is particularly helpful—we’re reviewing our communication templates to ensure they’re more property-specific and include direct points of contact for every guest. Thank you as well for your suggestion about signage or a flag at the roadside—excellent feedback that we’ll strongly consider to make locating the home easier for future guests. We truly appreciate your candor and the opportunity to learn from your experience. While we’re glad you were able to create lasting memories at Lake Charlevoix, we recognize there’s room for improvement, and we’re committed to making the necessary changes. If you choose to return to Northern Michigan, we’d love the chance to host you again—this time with a stay that fully reflects the high standards we aim to uphold at Northern Michigan Escapes.

Teuta, thank you for your feedback it is very important to all of us here. I'm sorry that you were less than ecstatic with your room and we missed giving you that 5-star experience. We use these comments to critique and improve. Thanks and have a great day! Note: The beds have been updated.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear the lake house was everything you hoped it would be and that it made such a great setting for your family getaway. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the dock for sunning and swimming, along with the convenience of being close to the surrounding towns. That combination of lakefront relaxation and easy access to local areas makes for a truly memorable stay. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and taking the time to share your experience. We’d be happy to welcome you and your family back anytime.

Hi Randall- I am sorry to hear your didn't find this home to meet your standards. The photos on our website were taken about 2 years ago and represent the home in its current condition. The home owner offers all of the basic supplies needed in a rental and have never had any other complaints to it being ill equipped. We would love to have heard this during your stay as to what other items would have made it more comfortable for you and may have been able to provide those for you during your stay. We do hope that you otherwise loved Northern Michigan and encourage you to check out some of our other great homes we manage. The Staff of Northern Michigan Escapes
