Great easy going retreat spot

The vacation spot is in a prime location in Waves, NC with local eating spots within walking distance. Specifically Waves Deli which has everything you can imagine and the best sandwiches and burritos in the OBX!

Cute place to stay

Overall the place was great! We really enjoyed the private path to the apartment and how secluded the neighborhood was. We also loved the little path from the apartment to the beach. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the OBX.

This property was the perfect location for our first trip to the OBX - it was a short walk to the ocean (tho the trail was a little hard to navigate along the edges of some properties, but one trip in the daylight was enough to get it), and, for us, the perfect distance to places North and South in the OBX.The apartment itself was just as pictured - clean, efficient, lots of places to sit and relax. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor shower was roomy - with enough space for a towel and or dry clothes behind the curtain on the door. Just watch your head on the path from the private parking spot (!) to the downstairs door to the apartment. We had a great time and we can't wait to visit again!

The hosts are good people who have everything you need for a nice stay. Beach is a short walk, the place is clean and cozy. It's tucked back in a cul-de-sac so it is quiet. I would highly recommend this place.

Great apartment for a couple

We coordinated our trip with friends staying at the KOA. This apartment was close enough to make meeting up for dinner/sight seeing easy. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood which we prefer over the noise of all the activity areas of the campground. The open room layout was fine for the two of us and the beach is within a sort walking distance.

The host was fantastic and the house was in perfect shape. Our original trip was postponed because of a hurricane. Stanimir was kind enough to let us have a different weekend blocked off because we were unable to access Highway 12 when we booked it. This stay was awesome. It was a very close walk to the beach and several food options. If I could give it 6 stars I would! 100% recommend.

check in was seamless even though we didn't arrive until late. There were adequate kitchen facilities, no ice. The ocean beach was a bit farther than anticipated but once there it was pretty open.

Autumn in the OBX

Had a great three days/two nights in October. The weather was perfect, and the crowds were gone. The place is perfect for a couple: Convenient, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The beach is very short walk away and Hwy 12 is far enough away not to be heard. The only thing missing is an oven/stove if you want to eat in, but there is a microwave and toaster oven. We'll come back.

Rustic Do It Yourself Ambience

Conveniently located efficiency space built beneath the main house. Recreational/Beach amenities were used and much appreciated. Roaches were present inside. Cookware found but no stovetop available. Towels, paper products, and cleaning supplies were convenient.

Hi Brian unfortunately yes there are water bugs in the yard and all over the island and you eventually can see one inside, not roaches because those get attracted to dirt, food and rotting materials… while the water bugs are just living in the area like all the other insects in our beautiful area. And there is no stovetops available because it’s against the law to have them on the first floor. But we have a crockpot, waffle makers, egg boiler/poacher, charcoal grill outside… just make sure to ask next time guys, if you cant find them yourself we’ll be more than happy to point them out to you. If you however plan to roast something or need a full kitchen you should look for a whole house which we have plenty of around here and any local real estate agency will be happy to assist you

OBX 2021

No washer or dryer that was listed. We stayed 6 days. Offered to wash our laundry. That wasn’t happening. My daughter and friends were staying at another property and we able to use theirs.

Hey Kimberly, the washer and dryer are on premises but our policy at the moment wasn’t allowing unsupervised access to it because people run a whole load for one T-shirt or a pair of their favorite socks, which is quite frankly very inconsiderate towards mother nature and we strive to live as green as we can in our household and i hope you understand that. Now our setup allows free access with additional condition of time(no late hours) and loads… and yes since your stay was 6 days I basically offered you free butler service of picking up your laundry running it with out hight grade detergents and softeners, ironing it and bringing it back. But unfortunately you didn’t accept, we are happy you had a chance to use your daughter’s.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with our stay for our anniversary trip. The home was a short walk or bike ride away from beach access where we spent our days. In the morning my wife would wake up and ride a bike to get coffee and read some of her book. Then we would go to the beach and come home and grill our dinners. When we first arrived we had a few questions for Stan and he replied very quickly and was quick to help. We hope to return in the coming years. Thank you for everything!

Great location!

The apartment is clean and comfortable. Great location to the beach. The walk maybe a little more than 2 minutes for us 65+ folks. Tons of amenities. We never noticed in the photos that there is no oven or stove. Stan offered to bake my breakfast casserole I had previously prepared for us! Thanks Stan for everything!

Outer Banks Mini Trip

My girlfriend and I did a quick three day two night trip to the Outer Banks. So we were looking for something quick, easy, and convenient to the water. This place was great! Not on the water itself, but just a few minutes walk to the beach. Required walking through a heavily wooded trail and then in between some beach homes, but by no means complicated or treacherous. The host were absolutely excellent! During our three days, we even ran into one of them in town, while away from the home. The only minor minor hitch, which I did not realize when I booked it, was that there is no stove/oven. There is a charcoal grill available for use around back and a microwave in unit, but that’s it. So if you were planning to cook food other than things that need to be grilled, you’ll be a little out of luck. Otherwise, you do have all the other kitchen amenities. Full fridge, toaster and toaster oven, etc. However, this was still a very minor inconvenience as we mostly ate out and/or grilled. I definitely give a thumbs up to this place if you think this would work well for what you are looking for!

Brand new spacious studio apartment with private entrance, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric skillet, toaster oven and coffee machine. Charcoal BBQ, bikes, double seater kayak, beach chairs and umbrella are also available for our guests 24/7. We also have some board games, horseshoes and cornhole for the days you choose not to go on the beach, but stay and enjoy the yard.

Traffic is practically nonexistent. Front and back yard available for guests to use. Very short walk to the beach without crossing any main roads or the HWY. very calm and safe neighborhood, currently in the process of installing video surveillance on premises for extra security.
