Boat Tie-up
A one-level pier with boat whips for offloading and onloading to rental boats is on property. If you plan to use the whips to dock a boat, please be sure you are knowledgeable and do so at your own risk. The cove often has large waves.

Sandy Shores Marina on Big Chief Drive is the nearest pay-to-enter ramp (15 minute drive - approx $5.) There is a neighborhood boat ramp just a few doors down which past renters have used. However, it will not work for all boats or trailers or at all water levels.

Can we tie the boat to the whips overnight?
In mild weather, renters have used the whips their entire stay. If you choose to use the whips, please do so at your own risk. We receive the highest waves in spring. The house is on open water.

Does your pool get hot in July/August?
Thanks to the lake breeze, the pool is refreshing all summer long.

Can we heat the pool? (New policy of 10/1/25. Pool heat up to 85 to degrees is included, if needed, April 20 - October 10. Spa heat is included year-round. The pool can be heated other months (charged at cost) if nights are above 65 degrees. Cost to heat the pool is approx $100-150/day. Note: In below 40 degree temperature, the freeze-guard prevents hot tub use.

Does your property have…?
Requests are welcome. The ping pong table, two cribs, a larger coffee maker, outside wood grill, volleyball set, and many other items have all been added by request at no charge.

Can we have more than 23 guests?
Exceeding the 23 person guest limit violates the rental agreement. Please ask permission vs forgiveness and be transparent in all requests.

Your policy is non-refundable. What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, I can offer a date switch to an off-peak, non-holiday weekend, such as October or early spring. I would also consider a refund if I am able to rebook the dates relative to the amount I recoup.

The goal is not to make double money but to protect from people blocking dates until fully committed. I am fully committed to your dates when you book and have never cancelled a booking.
