The Space:

You step inside and the ocean is already there, pulling you through the apartment and out toward the balcony before you’ve even had a chance to slow down.

It’s all there. Convent Beach below, the curve of the coastline, the kind of uninterrupted view that makes you pause for a moment longer than expected.



Inside, the apartment is spacious, comfortable and quietly relaxed. The layout is generous, with single-level living that makes everything feel easy from the start. The interiors reflect an earlier era, but they’re well cared for and sit comfortably behind what is, undeniably, one of the best positions in town.



The kitchen is full-sized and ready for slow mornings and long, easy dinners. You’ll find the essentials waiting, tea and those small touches that make settling in feel effortless. The dining area looks straight out to the ocean, so even a simple meal feels elevated.



The living space opens onto a large balcony that quickly becomes the centre of your stay. Morning light, afternoon breeze, the steady rhythm of the ocean always in the background.



There’s also a dedicated desk space with WiFi, ideal if you need to check in on work between beach walks, along with full laundry facilities within the apartment for longer stays or a more settled pace.



There are three bedrooms with ceiling fans for year-round comfort. The main bedroom has a king bed, ensuite and walk-in robe, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed and the third bedroom has twin beds, ideal for friends or family. With two bathrooms, mornings unfold without rush.



And yes, your dog is welcome too, so no one misses out on the ocean air and long beach walks.



Everything is thoughtfully prepared before you arrive, from immaculately clean spaces and fresh linen and bath towels to Leif bathroom consumables that feel considered rather than standard.



For larger groups, there’s also the option to extend your stay within the same building. Shadows Residence offers multiple living areas, four additional bedrooms and the same ocean views, allowing everyone to come together while still having space to spread out. It’s an ideal solution if you’re travelling with extended family or friends and want to stay close, without compromising on comfort or outlook.



The Oceanstays team will be there for you seven days a week if you need anything at all, making sure your stay runs as smoothly as it should.



Guest Access:

Arrive and head straight to the property, with secure access via a lockbox on site so there’s no need to detour for keys or coordinate arrival times.

Once inside, you’ll have access to the lock-up garage. It’s simple, private and designed so your stay begins the moment you arrive.



The Neighborhood:

Ocean Street is one of Yamba’s most tightly held pockets, elevated above Convent Beach with uninterrupted views and a quiet, coastal rhythm that feels a world away from anywhere busy. It’s the kind of street people return to year after year, not for show, but for how it feels.

From here, everything is within reach. All five of Yamba’s beaches are an easy walk, each with its own mood depending on the day. The lighthouse sits just along the headland, perfect for early mornings when the light is soft and the air is still.

Town is a short stroll away, where you’ll find a mix of boutiques, bakeries and places to settle in for a long lunch or an easy dinner. There’s also a local café just around the corner, ideal for that first coffee before the day properly begins.



Getting Around:

Once you arrive, everything shifts down a gear. Park the car in the lock-up garage and you’ll likely leave it there for most of your stay.

From here, you can walk to all five beaches, the lighthouse and into town with ease. If you prefer to explore on two wheels, bring your bikes along and store them securely in the garage. It’s an easy, relaxed way to move through Yamba, at your own pace.



Other Things to Note:

Please note, there is no air conditioning at this property. The home is designed to capture the coastal breeze and fresh ocean air throughout the day.



We welcome up to two well-behaved pets at Shadows on Convent. Please note there is no yard available for pets and we ask that pets are not left unattended at the property at any time.

To help us maintain the home for all guests, pets must remain off the furniture and linens throughout your stay. Guests are responsible for leaving the property clean and tidy and any additional cleaning required or damage caused by pets will be charged at cost.



To ensure all guests enjoy a peaceful stay, this property has a strict no smoking, no vaping, no parties, no loud music and no school leavers policy.



Please note that there is a set of external stairs to access the premises. While this property is all on one level, you will need to access the dwelling via an external staircase.

You won’t see much of us, but we’re always close by if you need anything.

We give you the space to settle in and enjoy your stay, while being available seven days a week for anything that comes up, whether it’s a question, a recommendation or a quick fix.
